Gringo here who has been married to a Latina for over 20 years. Here's a few things I can share with the guys about Latinas: Gender roles are strong in Latin America. Men are expected to be manly and masculine and the women feminine. The most important influences in Latin culture are Faith and Family. Not all Latinas are jealous and not all like to dance. Most are very open to dating and marrying Gringos. Gringos are seen in a very positive light by Latin American women. My suegra has always said American men make the best husbands in the world. And lastly, most Latinas are fiery and temperamental on one hand but loving and caring on the other. Enjoy!
Same here but married over 30 years now. I agree with you. My dad used to call my wife my little red hot chili pepper. And he was right. Putting it simply though, Mexican people are very passionate. Good is great and bad can really suck sometimes. Lucky for me most of the time our marriage is great!

I have dated many latinas and have never had the need to do this. It casually comes out and especially if you meet her family. You’d be going against the grain to assume that you weren’t together but it’s not a law that you have to make a formal declaration unless she is single. Every woman I have heard say that she needs an official declaration I run for the hills because it’s something that is said by women who want to be with many men at the same time so you literally have to pin her down and force a declaration of relationship like a contract she must sign. The women who are monogamous don’t say that. They push and expect the monogamous relationship until the man said no in which case she will usually leave quickly because she was interested specially in that relationship. The woman who is dating a bunch of man and will tell you she is still single because you haven’t officially forced a declaration of novios on her is happy and interested with the status quo. I.e. many different men.
