Our army first proof was against the Serbs, who stopped the Austria-Hungarians to invade Beograd, but with the bulgarian help hole Serbia was occupied, and their last troops escaped to Greece. After the first liberated lands bulgarian armys motivation was high. Our command wanted to capture Salonika to control the port . German high command orders were to open 2nd front to split enemies forces, which became a big mistake. Later this port was very important to the enemy. All the logistic went through this port. No matter how brave was the bulgarian army they had to leave one by one the lands they fought before. There were problems with the supplies and of course some politicians saw opportunity in the situation. So the war for Bulgaria turned into national catastrophe.
