Road Trip Around California in a 1990 Jeep Cherokee - Part 1

The day after Christmas, 2016 I decided to head out from Santa Anita Park on a solo road trip around California in my 1990 Jeep Cherokee with over 200k miles. I packed my camping gear, a couple changes of clothes, two GoPro Hero 3s, and headed out by myself. My goal was to take the scenic route and avoid the interstates, if I could travel on dirt roads, even better!
Several months later in 2017 I finally started digging through all the footage I shot. I worked diligently for several nights over several weeks to make this "Epic road trip film" I got about one third of the way done, made a trailer, and unfortunately got busy with real work and other life situations and this project got put on the back burner.
In 2018 I got married, moved, and started remodeling a house, the hard drive with this project and all the footage was in a moving box waiting to be finished.
It's 2020 and Covid-19 has slowed down life, and low and behold I came across this hard drive with my road trip video. I spun up the drive and polished the work I had done in 2017. I'm posting part one of this video with the hope that I will soon complete parts two and three, but knowing there is a good chance they might not be finished 'till 2026.
