The last year collecting as a teenager was 1996. My final purchase? The new product, 1996 Topps Chrome Football. I got back into the hobby in early 2007, that 06 NFL rookie class got me back into it. I eventually built the 1996 Topps Chrome master set. They look great in pages. At 165 cards, plus 55 inserts, they were perfect for a binder. This rip just made me remember seeing those 1996 chrome cards and how amazingly futuristic they looked.
Those 1995 Skybox Impact cards had really cool rookie cards. And it is not an expensive set to buy or put together. One advantage of the junk wax era is the vast majority of unopened product is very cheap. Even to this day, 30 years out.
Damn 1998 Collector's Edge checklist didn't include my Rams while 18 other teams had their own checklist cards plus the 1997 Choice, boo to them for not including a team set for my Rams but 10 other teams made the cut. Lots of Bledsoes and Elways
I used to have tremendous luck with these and the one especially sold at Target in the early days of it's existence. Pulled some really nice Fleer Autographics.😳😊
“So we got some slightly bigger names outta that one…….” Uhhhhh, hmmmmm…………. Lemme see here; Jonathan Ogden, Reggie White, Tim Brown, Ray Lewis, Terrell Davis, Brian Dawkins, Jamal Anderson? So 6 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame are just slightly better names? Hahaha jk
I must have opened 50 of these growing up. Always got them from Toys R Us. Awesome nostalgia. Thanks for the video.
me too, from toys r us and Kmart.
Bledsoe hot box!!!
I remember those. I would get them at Target when I was younger

Nice
Kmart use to have these at 20% off every couple of months. I would stock up on them during the sale. Of course, this was about 25 years ago.
my heart dropped when u got 2 of the same 90s insert,,,thats strange
@@electronicgrandpa7974 it’s never a monster card when that happens is it 😂
I did these a ton when I was a kid in the late 90s and early 2000's when I went to Walmart. How do you get these things these days?
Besides for flea markets and buying colletions...waaaaay too many hours spent searching Ebay.
thanks for sharing the video. do you need a graphic artist to work on your YT banner? for a cheap price...
Seemed like every pack i opened from 1993 to 99 id get a bledsoe in every pack. He was super hyped during thst time
@@paulpabin1121 💯
@@bustinboxes i literally have about 50 bledsoes from that era. Lol
Had a Hills price tag on that pack. I miss that store I loved getting toys and cards from there as a kid.
The Greg Hill cards were out of 6 and you got two of them?
@@Bpup31 That’s not how inserts were back then-they are basically insert #6 out of that set.
that 1998 skybox premium pack was that $299 or was it supposed to be 2.99
@@lancegraham9870 I’m guessing it was $2.99 retail price when they put it in this sealed box
@@bustinboxes oh ok i didnt see a decimal point in it so i was just wondering
Yikes, ... forgot how Horrible 95 Edge, was!
Skybox will Hit!
Friggin' Bledsoe? 😂
@@todddillon613 There are some awful sets in the 90’s and some very cool ones.
@@todddillon613 I liked the edge cards. So many different variations of them. They are lower end though I think. I didn't care for collector choice
