      @ladybee883 well said 👏. They would scream, sue, and say that the rider was at fault. You can NEVER predict what a well-behaved/trained horse will do if it becomes spooked. The saying fight or flight can turn on a dime for a horse ~ any horse 🐎. I have people in my family that are medical. A woman who said she had the sweetest horse in the world kicked her so hard that she ended up in the ICU with a perfect imprint of a horseshoe on her torso with potential life-threatening injuries. That is what happens when you are dealing with a prey animal.

    • @ladybee883
      @ladybee883 Год назад +6

      @lassie- I grew up on a small ranch in the US, and was always around horses and cattle. We had one horse that a baby could crawl around near and they (she) would stand perfectly still until someone grabbed the child. She was the exception. All the others were very "wired" cattle horses, tame enough when they were working, but didn't like being petted. These people wouldn't think of waking up to a large dog and crowding its space - unless they were looking for a "payday".

I'm quite surprised that the authorities have allowed it to continue for so many years. I'm looking forward to seeing a horse get so fed up with them that it finnally takes someone's fingers off! I also think that there should be signs stating "Do not crowd/touch the horse." However, people being what they are, they only think of themselves, and to heck with how the animal might behave. The levels of disrespect to both guards and their mounts is truly shameful.
