It "should" smog doesn't have to do with sound, as long as you leave the cats in. Ive done it many times. However! It is modifying an epa regulated exhaust- so, a cop could give you a ticket other than the noise level. Depends on the cop. Cheers-D
I want to do the same with my tahoe! Technically can I just cut it off and its good? Or should I at least straight pipe it? I'd much rather just cut it off and be done.
@@boratwilson9916 Correct. But actually this is not too bad on this Tahoe. Doing it right would be to add pipe out the back. This was just a cheap hack.
Just showing what we did. : ) I am sure there are opinions and facts on what is right and wrong. We figured we were going to have to cut it to change the muffler anyway, so we just sent it, and like the way it is.
@@MikeHulsman I've got the same stock system in my '04 Avalanche. Sounds just like yours. I'll be cutting it off soon and adding pipe. Thanks for doing it first
Who gives a fuk 💀💀☠️☠️☠️ You still borrowing your grandmas hyndai or kia and don’t even own a car/truck 😂😂😂😂😂 always the trolls that have nothing that talk the most 🤡🤡🤡🤡
We could have. But we left the extra couple of feet to keep the noise farther to the back and the hanger to support the pipe. Intention was to add more pipe, but we like it so may not add the extra.
Nope. The sound is louder this way from the sound waves hitting the ground and the underside of the suv. Plus shorter pipes means less of that nasty clapping exhaust sound
Florida boys making some “Happy, Happy, Happy” as Uncle Phil says!🤠
It sounds way better
I’d expect nothing less from a mid 40’s man wearing a tank top and white oakleys
My god heal all your headaches 🙏
What lift did you use for that Tahoe I have a 04 Tahoe and I’m trying to find a good 6inch lift for mine
BDS
How do you like the bds? Does it ride good?
Bad ass tahoe ima do that to mines soon
Sounds good, have you had any issue with exhaust smell coming into the cab?
Nope. Still thinking about running pipe out the back, but it has been fine. So maybe not.
Yo, what rims are those? Those looks so well with your setup you got.
Thanks!!
Fuel Full Blown 20" with Toyo MT Open Country 35x12.5
Yeah them 5 3's are pretty quiet unless you delete the cats.
Yup.
Will it pass smog check ?

Wow, , so quick, great sounds, and so cheap. 🤝👍❤
Should u lift a 2 wheel drive??
Yup.
How do you like the lift kit? Thinking about doing it just not sure if it is still worth it for a daily
Love it! It is a Monster but not awful to drive.
Why would a lifted be bad for a daily just asking?
Did you put a pipe on after you took off the muffler or did you just leave it open?
Just left it open and still like it!
Does this work for the same era avalanche too?
This works for everything man😂😂
What brand lift is it?
It was already on there. Will look to see what it is and try to follow up.
Is that 2 post in a week?!

going to be some drone in the cab because it's cut right underneath the floor

@@kootnygreen Have fun!!
Any loss of torque ??
Torque gained.
Nice Tahoe, what company made the lift?
BDS 👍🏼
Are those 20x10 or 20x12?

Lifted but not 4Wd 💀💀

Why not just unbolt it at the two into one flange

Out terrorizing Deland I see...
Take the cats off. You’ll have a monster on your hands.
I love this car, but if it is as clean as your car
What do you do when you have to get a smong test ???
Muffler doesn't affect smog test. Cats are still in place.
Lazy! Would sound way better if it actually had duals out the rear and increased diameter of pipe

What size wheels...
35/12.50/20
And negative
@@geogon808 not sure sure the offset but will see if I can find out.
