To be completely honest when I saw the logo and the first teaser image I was super excited. I still need a blue/ red version in my collection. So I was following and checking everyday untill he was completely shown. Maybe in my mind I was expecting my definitive Superman. When I saw the full reveal I was disappointed at first. I am a person that always search for the positives in a statue and this time it was hard. I found that he over musculated and the portrait seemed to old. But I have to say after watching the videos and seeing pictures of other angles this statue is growing on me. And good review mister of this statue 👍👏👏

Gorgeous statue, the head sculpt looks great. Loving the pose as well. Edit: Yeah I may have to get in on this one, especially if they do a trinity.
I think this one looks fine. The head sculpt doesn't bother me at all. I like the pose, and the sculpted cape looks really good

9:22 No I like those pieces of the clouds, they’re what’s showing the upward trajectory he’s taking, take them out and it’s just a cloud base, they’re what’s showing that’s he’s came through the cloud.
Love how muscular the statue looks but if Superman is going to wear the trunks, he needs the yellow shield on his cape. It just doesn't look right from behind without it, at least for me.
I love this statue and how comic accurate it is, and I do love the head sculpt, but if it was a smiling expression it would be perfect! Here’s hoping there’s a switch out option

the symbol is probably sown on the suit like a patch. therefore it casts shadow

I love the look! I have seen complaints about the head sculpt, and maybe they could offer an alternate head piece as a reasonable answer. Proportions look great, however the thunder triceps are enough to break Conan's back 😂

I only have 1/6 scale statues, but this is pretty cool. XM is coming out with a pretty awesome 1/6 scale Superman soon, too.
I love it. The only ciriticism I have is the cape is suuuper busy.

This is my Superman, bro! It feels like straight outta Alex Ross and Jim Lee's comic art in comics. I think this Superman statue is the best in the 1:4 scale yet. I love the freaking dynamic cape, big muscular physique, and gritty portrait. If they include an additional portrait, it would be an added bonus. As a Superman fan, this is a must-have for me. Btw love your videos, Stephen. Keep up the good work!

I think the new statue looks great. I prefer the sculpted cape over fabric. I just recently started collecting statues from sideshow within the last couple of years. Superman is what I mostly collect so I am always on the lookout. It's a huge piece so the challenge will be to find a place for it to fit but I will gladly accept that challenge.
It’s going to be tough to decide whether to buy this or wait for 1/4 scale Superman Hush. I already have TDKR Batman so now I need a Superman to pair him with.
Very torn on this one, a lot to like about it but a few nitpicks (sculpt, too muscular and the angle). I have the SS Call to Action Superman PF, Tweeterhead 1/6 2.0 Superman and I pre-ordered the 1/3 Tweeterhead Bust so I think I am covered on Superman in the collection but if this were to come with a portrait switch out I may have to pick it up. Overall it still looks great and would be a center piece in any collection in that pose and base.

I am not getting this Superman but not because I don't like it. Its because I have the 1/4 Ghost Rider statue and the Spiderman Sinister six on Preorder so I have to be selective with what I can afford to get. I do love the look of this Superman. The metallic sub base represents the man of steel come from another planet, while we see him in an up up and away motion going through the clouds. As he seems to deify gravity reaching great heights to feel the rays of the golden sun that allows him to have such great powers. They did a beautiful job capturing those things that define this man as Super. Great job by Sideshow and congrats to those who are getting this piece.
I’ve been waiting for a new Superman 1/4 scale statue for a while. I wonder how this will stack up against the Hush version. I like the soaring through the clouds pose more, I’m just not sold on the portrait. I kind of wish he was smiling as I’m a bit tired of the angry/evil Superman that I feel we keep getting.
i have a feeling hush 1/4 is gonna be a let down...could be wrong

After the Christopher reeve PF with the ES of 6000 that I’m sure they still have a lot of because it’s always on sale I really doubt the ES on this is going to be over 1000. 500 tops, but I’m betting closer to 200-300
I like how this statue look. It'll look great with my Sideshow Batman dark knight statue with the lightening bolt behind him. Win win for me.
Seems like they're going with a gritty head sculpt similar to the prime 1 statue. I dig it.

Hush Superman will always be king. But I do love the LBS Superman and this new Superman by SS. I’m leaning on getting LBS and this SS or just one. Grats on whoever gets it. Love this piece.

The Abs are too pronounced. They draw your eye right to them. I like the pose and concept but those Abs ruin it for me.

It’s nice but I prefer my call to action Superman I could see these pieces compliment each other as he transforms from Clark to Superman and then takes flight after a running transformation from an all way in Metropolis. It’s what I would do if I was going to buy this piece
Oh damn, I’m a fan of this, love the clouds, they look so good, love the cape, love the body sculpt, love the portrait. The only thing I don’t like is the sub base, it would have been so much nicer to just have the clouds as the base.

I personally love the K bro’s so I have a biased opinion. I can see both sides…you either like him flying, or you want him looking straight at you. I think this statue gives collectors a great option. Let the haters hate…if you like it go for it, can’t go wrong with K Bro’s ✊

The Batman dark knight from SS has a sculpted cape and is 1/4. There’s a lot I like about this piece but the head sculpt is bothering me. He looks evil. I pre ordered the new spider-man and the batgirl/clayface. I need to think about this one… I do like the pose.

Daniel Bels The Dark knight PF has sculpted cape. Like the pose on supes but just not a fan of the head sculpt. Looks lifeless on some of the shots.

Yea I really dislike the sub base, I never like sub bases, and Sideshow doesn’t usually use them on these new statues, it’s strange that they used it here. Would have looked much better with just the clouds.

He reminds me of an earth two Superman. I honestly don't like anything about it with exception of the cloud base and the logo. I think he's two thick, no neck, too old, too tall. No S on the cape. Cape is also way too big. And I absolutely love Superman, the Superman and Lois is perfect.

Gut is a bit thick imho
He sure is muscular but he is shaped like a tub, not the V-shaped muscular like how Jim Lee draws Bats and Sups. If you see a shine on the cape, and it's Superman then it is sculpted. Fabric capes don't shine with light.

Not sure I like this sup statue. Proportions are terrible imo. Pose is meh aswell. And the cape doesn't work at all if he was flying up like that. Should be straight down.
Cape has no symbol, sorry old school must have the S on the cape or it's not the real Superman

The proportions of the stomach are way off. He looks "fat muscular" The cape is really cool but overall not very good.

the 1st was knda ok except for the big under wear, the 2nd..BLAHHH really dumb pose, this new one, portrait not liking its ugly common Gem we know you dont like it common Gem , its Suooy in his 50s at 1st his cape got me excited but after the reveal.. nahhh
