I appreciate the time you took to video this motor removal. It saved me the trouble of going through the same process. Just like all other appliances these days, it is not repairable, it is disposable. I have two Stihl vacuums, that have been run without filters, and they sound the same as yours. Can you buy the motor unit separately and/ or should I just buy a whole new vac?
I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure that the shop vac manual from Stihl, or for that matter any shop vac, will have something to say about maintenance. Even if it doesn't, common sense, which seems to be in short supply these days, would lead one to at the very least periodically check the air filter.
I have this vacuum cleaner. Sometimes it just want turn on for some reason. Do you have idea what could be the problem. I kick it a few times and it turns on sometimes.
Is the Numatic range of vacs your preferred choice for builders debris, plaster, wood chips and so on. Having difficulty deciding which vac to buy to clear up during my house renovation. Think I need a 15ltr Numatic but keep getting side lined on vacs like the stihl or Karcher etc. Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated. Maybe a 9 ltr Henry would do the job with a 38mmm hose fitted and plenty of bags lol
I know they have good chain saws and leaf blowers...(or at least less crappy than most by today's standards)..i forget what other yard tools we have but have never had one of their shop vacs.....we probably have quite a stock of really crappy ones......
It could be a mixture of a clogged fan and bad bearings. That motor was REALLY dusty. The motor is probably guaranteed to be the same size as a UDS Henry motor.
They are great vacuums when people don't do 16 drywall jobs without a filter lol

You don't need common sense if you have money!
I always have a bag in mine. This will save the vacuum

A Henry is the best, cheapest and easiest to repair and get parts for.
looks like it has been run without the bag filter
Yeah that needs a new filter and filter cage and a motor
And a vacuum
I think the size is about the size of a numatic uds1053sn motor

Where exactly are the "first you take two screws off the top" you mention? I keep searching for these
Each end of the handle?
Sounds like the bearings have gone, you would have to take the whole motor apart to replace the bearings, any numatic videos coming up ?
Quite a few numatic videos. I am working on a nuvac today. have a look at my playlists, I put videos in there that are unlisted.
@@bootsowen ok cool I will have a look I’m currently fixing a hetty
