Yamamoto is a genius who went from being a late draft pick in Japan to becoming the team's ace in just three years.
He has a very unique training method; he does not do any weight training at all. He believes that the most important thing for a pitcher is muscle flexibility and body conditioning, so he practices javelin throwing and yoga.
In a few years, even more pitchers will be learning Yamamoto's training methods.
Haha Nice! Never heard of this method before but he's already an ace pitcher. He will win the Cy Young Awards soon! 😂
This is his first year since the transfer, and it's been a year of getting used to the difference in ball size, the feel of the mound, and the living environment in America.
But even so, he performed well on the big stage of the postseason, delighting fans.
From next year onwards, Yamamoto will be able to adapt and show us even more evolved pitching.
I can't wait to see Yamamoto pitch No-Hitters and get Cy Young Awards in future seasons.
Let's make 2025 a good one.
You know there will be strong rival for that? Shouhei Ohtani and hyped for it😊
I still remember guys saying he would never make it in MLB after seeing his spring training results.
Exactly same thing happened when Ohtani joined MLB
the ball size and mound change reslly does make a difference
People, even other MLBers, said that Ichiro wouldn't make it when they saw him in Spring training. Pete Rose said that a Japanese player would never be successful in the MLB.
Man, I’m so glad we Dodgers got him. The brighter the spotlight, the better he pitches.
Yamamoto and Skenes are the only two pitchers I still watch the full game instead of highlights. One dominant with crazy speed and stuff, the other one, Yamamoto for sure, strikes out big leaguers like a video game character with unreal curve and clever strategies. Can’t wait for more of them next year!
That last shot was pure gold 👌

He is 26.
What's next?
Cy young and no hitter in MLB next season. Hopefully 2nd Word Series and the upcoming 2026 WBC Champ.
Oh my splitter 🤩
That slider in the post season was so beautiful too 🤌🏽
He will be dominant next season.
He’s going to be so outstanding next season!!
He's only getting started!! Lets go Yoshi!! Lets go Dodgers!!!
This dude is just a winner. Everywhere he goes. What a way to close out your rookie season in a new league and new country 😮
Battleship Yamamoto! Hopefully he does even better next season!
The pride of Orix, hoping next year will be even better
People tried to write him off and when he wasn’t doing good as a dodgers fan I always had faith in him and I knew he could get through the hump during that time and he did and helped us win the WS❤
The batters are like, "why is this ball moving so much?"
he will win cy young this season. book it. screenshot it.
BEST MOMENTS
I love watching him pitch and walk off because he knew it was nasty. Second it was watching the hitters stumble because they couldn't believe how ugly that pitch was. 😂
great pitching !
It’s his debut year so I’m sure he had nerves and had a lot of getting used to being in America
Awesome debut season!I hope he plays the best result in all seasons!!!
He would’ve dominated the Yankees in game 6 and squashed any notion of a historic comeback.
🐐 in the making
He’s gonna get even nastier after learning how to use the curveball from Kersh
I love Shota Imanaga.
0:32 damn nasty curveball
Next year’s NL Cy Young Award nominate
Yoshinobu Yamamoto (LAD)
Shohei Ohtani (LAD)
Blake Snell (LAD)
Don’t count out glasnow, when he is healthy he light out too, was a front runner CY before he got hurt
When the rays had Snell and Glasnow...
Those were the days...
Damn he was clutch in the October after having a less than stellar debut year
he didn't pitch a lot but he had a 2.6 fip and 29% K rate. When he was pitching he was elite
3.00 ERA is less than stellar? bro
@@mejartomlinson7065 era is a casual stat lmao. FIP and xFIP are way more telling of a pitcher's performance. 2.6 fip and 2.8 XFIP were both top 5 in MLB this year
@@mejartomlinson7065 but nonetheless a 3 era is still really good
@@muhweei1516 I noticed he also tend to really blew the game when he's not feeling it that day, inflating the ERA a bit, so his expected performance might be better on an average game than what his ERA entails because of that
YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO🇯🇵
I really can't wait to see what a healthy Yamamoto for a full year. He definitely has the stuff to be an ace. Go Dodgers!
Future NL Cy Young
I believe starting pitchers should pitch long innings.
From the current perspective, my opinion is probably crazy.
Best splitter in the MLB currently.
That's a Ghost splitter, it just disappears. Folks take weird swings on it.
At least he can cover first base....
Yamamoro
FIP LEADR IP>90
1.Sale 2.09
2.Snell 2.43
3. Skenes 2.44
4. Skubal 2.49
5. Yamamoto 2.61
They are here, they there, they are everywhere, J A P A N!
Dude turned it up 2 notches!
For some reason his pitching style reminds me of Greg Maddux
We talking windup? I can see that. Greg Maddux was the best fielding pitcher ever, he would tell his SS's/2b's, i got up the middle, you cover your sides. 15 gold gloves later....
Yoshinobu “The Truth” Yamamoto
His disappearing splitters and Yo-yo curveballs makes him look like a magician on the mound.
Yoshinobu “YoYo” Yamamoto
All he needs is to build up his stamina for a full season and maybe not crank out 97 for 6 whole innings, even though it was amazing to see him max out his heater for that long.
6 men rotation u can go all out in every start
Let's Go Dodgers!!!🏆🍾
Yoshinobu “sly fox” Yamamoto
ACE
Yamamoto is the next Hideo Nomo and Shohei Ohtani is the next Barry Bonds
Please don't compare Shohei with juice Bonds
Yamamoto vs Yankees will always feel personal like Here's another strike for not paying me more than Gerrit Cole 🤭
Yoshinobu Yamamoto struggled to adjust to MLB early in the season, but as you all know, he completely dominated the league from midseason onward, including the postseason, just like he did in NPB. Next season, he’ll likely be competing with *Ohtani* for the Cy Young Award.🎌
Or Blake Snell. Or Tyler Glasnow. Oh they are on the same team…
4 CY contenders in 1 team, i dont think it happened before
@@don9733 90s/2000's Atlanta Braces comes to mind
@@Supajap-l9t they had 3 not 4

Trevor Megill highlights video would be hype
Everybody BIT Bank♪
He got one.
⬇ - Yamamoto fan since he started in MLB button
He's gonna be better next season. Imagine Dodgers rotation consisting of Ohtani, yamamoto, Glasnow, Snell, and..... Roki....😅 its gonna happen.
Do you think he gonna get CY within 3years?
The splitter is so filthy
