Thanks! It sort of did, it sort of didn't. There was a good chunk of days where it was being posted all over Tumblr, and the views went from a couple hundred to several thousand. I still get new people watching it all the time. Glad so many have enjoyed the video and the moment.
If I had five seconds... I'd risk running it to ten by saying, "The ones that come after you will forever look up to you. Be always worthy of that respect, and never fail to show it in return." Hahaha this is so great especially because you pulled the ring out of your fanny pack 😂😂! But seriously, congrats I wish you two prosperity and many years of happiness ^.^
I almost cried, which is saying a lot. I don't cry for anything. Sad parts in movies, happy joyous moments, etc. This was truly the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
Im just impressed that they stood at attention that long. Their arms must be either really freakin buff cause the practice a bunch or that theres like 50 of those people shaking lmao (I know its cause the practice)
Wasn't this held at Emmerich Manual High School at Indianapolis, In?! Lol, I go there. This is my second year here! I wish next year DCI would come and talk and help marching band and band students overall!! It makes me sad because it's my senior year next school year. I'm a mellophone/French Horn player and I really want to do DCI, but I'm not financially ready, I need help going out and being out there since I'm use to blending. This will be my third year in marching band. We don't do band camps, I might go to California and if I don't I want to do band camp, and also strengthen my skills and also on my Violin.. My goal as a musician is to play every instrument and create any type of style of music .... I don't know where to start, scholarships, and so on... Usually, programs make you study on one instrument, but I love both...ughh..idk
+Rosebud-Lynn Euneice Yes, it was! The Oregon Crusaders have rehearsed there every summer since 2011, if I remember correctly. They are there the week before championships, so around the second week of August. I don't know if they will be using this housing site again or not -- I aged out the year this video was made, in 2012, so I am out of the loop mostly now. Pursue your musical dreams!
Not gonna lie... This here got me good, I was breaking out in tears. I'm a band nerd here and usually proposals never get to me but this one here... I felt it, I don't know how to explain it but yeah. I'm a senior in high school not expecting to get into a drum corps of any kind but I get it. Last year, moving on, it is gonna be one tough mother out there. I know this is an old vid but congrats my dude and dudett!
This was so fucking cute... :') Fuck you sir for making me cry lol good job and I hope you two are so happy and stay happy for as long as you both may live
Scott steele, and max logan! woah! after marching with them this video takes on a whole new meaning. congratulations on the open class title, and the marriage.
I feel so sorry for those contras! They had to keep their horns there through that entire entire thing? Dear lord I'm sorry! I feel your pain contra brothers!
At AIA championships the senior winterguard had a proposal at the end of the show. It was a doctor show so her boyfriend runs out in the end with a doctor outfit on and proposes. It was the cutest thing ever. /watch?v=FOwraAYmF5k&list=WL7867B535219694FC
Did these kids a) get married and b) stay married? So few tour romances last into September. These kids seem nice but more into keeping the corps memories alive than starting a romance outside drum corps... (I'm happy to be wrong about that)
Notice the title, "drum corps" proposal. This is not high school or college band. This is drum corps. We travel the country every summer, performing in dozens of stadiums and competing against other corps, culminating in the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana. The year this was filmed, we (the Oregon Crusaders) won the Open Class division gold medal, and it was also my and my fiancée's age-out year, meaning we were too old to do drum corps anymore.
Baritone players cry?? Understandable though
opienick OWEN WTF HAHAHAHAHAHA
I'm a baritone junior and I haven't seen one cry
They wish they were a Melli . . . JUST KIDDING!!!
God, every single time the same three words get me. "I am home." I can't wait to soon have a corps to call home.
iamtheipodman did you find one
“i am home” i’m crying yo same😭😭😭
This video never went viral. I'm a little bit upset. Such a great love story. Congrat to them both!
Thanks! It sort of did, it sort of didn't. There was a good chunk of days where it was being posted all over Tumblr, and the views went from a couple hundred to several thousand. I still get new people watching it all the time. Glad so many have enjoyed the video and the moment.
Their children are going to be insane horn players I'm telling you now. By somewhere around 2029 you'll see his kid's name in the books
A real "drum corp(s) bride"
@Ray Fallon We are married. Have been since Sep 2014 but no plans to change that. This was much more than a tour romance.
JTS Entertainment late congrats, and Brian beck is my teacher now lmao
Lol anyone notice where he's standing there at 2:00 his feet are at 45's, like naturally at 45's. I find that funny. :)
I catch myself doing that from time to time tbh.
I do that regardless.
That happens
Destiny B lol only marching band people understand
I naturally stand this way now too lmao
That glove tan tho.

i'd say "don't give up, enjoy it while it lasts because it doesn't last forever."
Hahaha this is so great especially because you pulled the ring out of your fanny pack 😂😂! But seriously, congrats I wish you two prosperity and many years of happiness ^.^
I almost cried, which is saying a lot. I don't cry for anything. Sad parts in movies, happy joyous moments, etc. This was truly the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
Someone should of yelled "NOW GIVE HER THE" and some play a loud D on their horn.
What a stupid idea
I've never heard such a great idea before in my life
Actually the greatest idea ever
I hope she doesn’t have perfect pitch...
12 people weren't proposed to at their age-outs.
Im just impressed that they stood at attention that long. Their arms must be either really freakin buff cause the practice a bunch or that theres like 50 of those people shaking lmao (I know its cause the practice)
I love how the majority of the rest of the corps in the circle stayed at attention.
omg thats the most adorable thing I've ever seen!! I wish those two a happy life together
Wow, this video is making me cry.
From sixth grade to aging out, love withstands the test of time

It sounds as if they knew each other since 6th grade, and had been dating for three years, so....
Notice the title, "drum corps" proposal. This is not high school or college band. This is drum corps.
