Important thing on the upgraded ult: much like Fenrir ult, the enemy on the ground is able to get a basic attack off before the other lands. Which Fenrir this means FENRIR get the bonus basic attack in however for King Arthur whoever you ult will land before you do and be able to get a basic attack in when you land so be careful. The other thing that you can do is if you are lunging with the basic attack, you can still move your camera so you can swing in a different direction to the lunge, can help if 2 enemies are close and you can't hit both but end up lunging towards the wrong target.

Honestly for me right now in solo boots rush feels the best then into glad shield and then build as needed but I definitely recommend urchin/spirit robe on him
My question is, who (if anyone) would you ever recommend to build Trans, Crusher, Soul Eater, & Heart Seeker build? I've tried it before on various ability heavy physicals, but usually it's just simply ok. I would like to think it's really good on a hunter (especially a mid hunter like a mid nieth or chiron), but it's often lacking in one way or another... I don't know if it's simply lacking in more penetration, or more cdr, or maybe you still want attack-speed as a "Phys Mage", or maybe I just need to learn a better leveling order for when I build things.
I would think you'd want to build Trans first after boots, then either Crusher or Heartseeker next, but I'm still not certain which would be a better pick earlier. I usually want to try and get Soul Eater as a 3rd item, but quite often I don't even finish getting the stacks (though to be fair, I play pretty basically anything aside from Conquest sooo... Non-Conquest meta very different I guess).
I genuinely think Arthur is a great solo not best but pretty good he can have high sustain and be a pretty good hybrid also found him to be a amazing support I normally build stone of gaia warrior or ninja depending if I want to be more aggressive gladiators, gauntlet of thebes brawlers and bulwark so when u get low u have a chance to regain hp with a full cycle of abilities it worked pretty good in solo 6-4 with my first time as Arthur solo or I think 2nd time

the best guide is to play him yourself and figure out how you want to play him. He is flexible and can make different combos based on the person

Mystical mail is actually great on king Arthur. If you're going for a bruiser build it can help without investing into 2 damage items. Glad shield, warrior tabi, mystic mail, crusher, mantle of discord, and bulwark of hope. Not that order but still.
I like it because gives a good amount of hp and defense will still sporting damage and some pen. King Arthur's abilities are mostly slow and his combo stance 3 works very well with crusher, glad shield and mystic. Then you stun people around you and get a shield is so good in fights. You just need the right build for mystic and having black thorn hammer as well is a waste. Unless going for a high hp build, waste.

Orr you could just build Void Shield in that slot which does all that but it generally way better for him.
@@DukeSloth Mystic would work better with glad shield, 10 defense but 150 hp difference. Bursting someone down as a jungler, void shield, sure. It can get thr job done when you are snowballing. Long term fights where you know you won't be able to kill the squishies in 3 abilities. Mystic mail. Plus from behind or even matches you're able to stay in prolonged fights and rack up tons of damage without hitting every player.
@@xRagingxDemonx Yes, Mystical Mail is slightly more tanky. But you lose a lot of damage by going into Mystical Mail in most situations - specifically against squishies, the targets Arthur really wants to work on. Arthur gets most of his sustain from spamming abilities, so you constantly have to hit them with those anyways, pushing up Void Shield's value.
@@DukeSloth only only the targets you're hitting, but still not taking into account that the higher health paired with his mitigation passive he gets more tank values from higher health items. Yoh also have to remember you dont have black thorn, you need all the health you need.
Either way if you're going for the more assassin approach go for void shield, if you need more survivability will still having the ability to deal damage to enemies just by being around them as you're spamming your 5 core abilities, you get a lot of good value from mystic.
My point still stands that with the right build you can use mystic and have crusher while still being able to survive.
Duke how come you don't mention atk speed contributing towards building his energy? I would think talisman of energy, crusher, ninja tabi would be great towards his passive.
Any tips for a Da Ji main as far as leveling or builds go?

Yo duke, I've got a question and I know it's off topic but meh..so, the Demonic Thanatos skin is exclusive ? what I mean is that it's going to be in a bundle or in another event or when Season 5 ends it will never be available, because I got 54k/80k fp and I have money for the rest of the fp (200$) but I don't want to spend 200 if it's going to cost like 8% in a bundle or 50$ in an event. Sorry for english, it's not my first language
I don't think it will. As far as I understand it it's a reward for going through that grind, so if it was available at a later point, it would probably only be for charity events for 500+ or so, like Archon

I would agree with you on breastplate, but I do enjoy the mp5, and pure spam that Gengi's provides against a magical solo laner. On one occasion it let me force an Chronos ult and then just re combo him dead. Why was their a Chronos in solo, I don't know.
I mean, if you're after MP5, Oni Hunter's still provides more than enough of that. If you're after super aggressive spam against a magical solo, sure, there's a niche. At the same time, the situations where that's actually the case are extremely limited. Many magical solos have some sort of sustain that makes Pestilence the better bet (excluding oddballs like Chronos), see gods like Artio, Cerberus or even Samedi solo - or you'll need Pestilence for other self-healers/healers in lategame anyways. If however you're against a physical solo, I would rarely recommend it as the primary magical defense choice you get later on. Again, there are cases where it's advisable, but those are very limited.

Yeah, haha. I think it happens when one person has better ping than the other (though I don't know who had the better ping in this case). One "connect" registers first and loses CC immunity and then the other connects and picks up the no longer CC immune enemy. Ne Zha has a similar issue.

How do you feel about dmbrandon slighting you in his King Arthur guide? Well, not in the video, but in the comments.
It entertains me. He regularly releases misinformation, yet all he can bring up against me is one weak meme he spread about me being gold multiple years ago when I played ranked for a bit. Meanwhile, just to take some examples from his current guide, he doesn't even know how Arthur ult works properly and describes the % damage wrong as he never tested it. He recommends Genji's Guard as a CORE item, recommends Masamune but claims Blackthorn is bad (for Season 6 apparently) without ever having checked the numbers and in the gameplay frequently uses the non-amplified 1S on waves and gods in situations where he could easily get close and instaclear with the amplified version. Must've pissed him off a lot to be compared to me though LOL
DukeSloth I’m not aware of the misinformation you mentioned or the meme so I can’t really speak on that. Also, he tends to live in controversy so I try to keep my distance from him beyond RUclips. That being said, I did like both of your guides and thought that they actually played off of each other. Yours was broader and included a jungle portion while his stuck with only solo but was more in depth in that role. The only full disagreement you two had was on genjis guard as you stated. If the gameplay you are referring to about using the unamplified version of the 1 was from his guide, I didn’t actually see much of what you were talking about. It was there, but not as much as I felt you were alluding to. In conclusion, great guide, and thanks for the time you put into it and your response.
@@soadcalibur The misinformation is what I described in the comment regarding the video - among a lot of other stuff in the past, this is regular thing with him. The meme is just that. Whenever I get mentioned all he can bring forward is along the lines of "lol gold player".
That really wasn't the only disagreement by far. He explained Arthur's ult wrong and therefore prioritizes wrong in his leveling order based on the understanding that he has - which is simply incorrect. I also specifically don't recommend Masamune while he does. Furthermore, I explain why Blackthorn is the better option, yet he claimed in his comments that Blackthorn is bad on Arthur. These are all pretty clear opposites, even if you didn't get the impression regarding the 1S usage as much as I did.

Yeah, I really want another basic attack-focused god, too. Melee specifically.
Stone of Gaia would be hard to fit in. The buff makes it more interest, but most of the time you're better off outright avoiding the CC with Magi's Cloak and using your damaging abilities (with Glad Shield) to heal up.

@@AstronGlitch Yeah i think i watched that video already, where he makes a top 5 or 6 gods to look more closely next season, but i guess its a prediction, regarding the damage scaling Thoth is about to lose a great potential, specially because they think youre gonna hit more than one enemy with the root, and that almost never happens, the slow would be nice if it applies to all gods hit, not only the consequent ones... RIP Thoth

Makes complete king arthur guide, doesn’t make use of auto attack canceling in the first 5 seconds.
You DO realize that an auto attack with Arthur takes significantly longer than going right into an ability and is absolutely the worse choice when you'll be able to kill an enemy with a quick ability rotation, right? Nah, I guess you probably don't.
Arthurs auto-attack cancels are insane wth. They only increase burst damge if you do them right. Dont even need hydras. (But hyrdas kicks ass)
Seriously just try spamming aa cancel every ability its the third most rage inducing mechanic right behind the hercules pluck and fuck.
And to add to my point his ability damage its self is pretty weak, staying very pretty close to auto attack damage imo.
@@R0tNB0t His ability damage is just like other physical gods ability damage... except he have 8 of them xD
There is no King Arthur build he’s just weak and his so-called “buff “ is actually a nerf
