La's totaly awsome cleaner also strips paint and chrome very well
Started this one & the Revell Chevelle 396
Bout the only hot rod we can afford anymore great job keeps us dreaming
👍🏻👍🏻
That's the first car I owned I wish I still had it today good memories
Purple Power is my favorite
Nice, i was beginning to think you didn't build models, nice job on that big block wiring and plumbing
I like it with the Black wheels... I think it works!
Looks Great Matt
Nice lookin build Matthew. I built this kit when I was 17 or 18. I like how you built yours! Just picked it up again and plan to build it soon. 👍🏼
👍🏻👍🏻
after seeing video when you started I bought 2 for the tires thank you
Great build. I really like that color and I think the black wheels look pretty sharp.
Black wheels look great bro.
Looks beautiful
Thanks Ken!!
Hi Matthew, I dont know if you can buy a product in the states called Dettoll, but it is an antiseptic you can buy in a plastic bottle, just soak your painted parts in it and after a while it will bring the paint right off without harming the plastic. Only problem is it stinks......best of luck buddy .......great channel..🇬🇧😉😍🇬🇧
I'll check it out! Thanks
Looks good my friend you did a nice job
A very cultured Chevelle you have there - the struggle was worth it!! Inspirational work!
Had to make a new distributor for my 67 Impala too, I used a piece of 5/32 tube
Easy off oven cleaner works great too nice build
Nice looking build.
Awesome! I like the black wheels 😎🤘☠️
Thanks Dave!!
Very cool build.
I just bought two of these models...Going to change the rims & hood scope to an updated one....Great job on your model
Thanks
real nice details, car looks great
like the wheel's like that
Thanks David!!
Oh yea, it turned out nice!!!!!!!!!!!!
Easy Off is all I use to take my paint off....nice build buddy....I'm building the same car.....
the wheels you can paint with flat black primer then after that dries i like to use bright coat chrome in a spray can.. that looks great!
I had one build, it was a snap-tite kit so not sure why I put so much effort into it but I stripped it three times before I was satisfied with the outcome. I actually gave in to be honest because even the final paint was far from perfect. Great looking Chevelle!
Just found your channel.
So glad your still on.
Will be doing a lot of binging.
I just finished stripping down the body parts for an Aoshima Avantador and yes it is a real messy job with brake fluid but it works!
👍🏻👍🏻
She turn great.. Glad the brake fluid work for you.
Great job....came out excellent!
Thanks Steve
Looks cool.
Awwww man you didn't use those sweet slotted rims (centerline ? ) rims ?
I thought the cover picture with those slots looked wicked !
.... the black rims have a kinda mean street look !
That's the great thing about models you can build them the way you want !
........or change things around after the fact, it's alot easier & cheeper in 1/25 scale I'll tell you that 😃😂😁
If they gave you a few choices with the hood scoop.... I always liked the long windshield snorkel scoops !
I think sometimes a little hood scoop looks a little outta place stuck in the middle of a hood..... depending on the height & length !
That's why I think a long windshield snorkel scoop would work !
Maybe because my cousin had one on his tilt nose 57' Chevy 😉
Great job on the build , nice work on all the small detail ✌😎
Best if luck with the channel.... I will be watching ☺
Nice build. Think the blacked pit wheels look great.
wow! another great build!
Bro your model looks great...I love the color...I've got 4 of these kits for other projects, but now I gotta do my chevelle with some crazy color.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great job!! The blacked out wheels make it look better I think
Hey it’s Chris again, i like the orange paint color. I use Purple Power to strip my paint & it doesn’t stain the styrene either..... I get it in Walmart, it’s inexpensive too
Thanks Chris!
Just subbed you a few days ago and now watching your older videos. Awesome looking Chevelle. Great build. Ron
Thanks Ron!!
Welcome to the community! Found ya thru Jeff’s Model Garage ! I use brake fluid for stripping paint also. CHEVELLE looks great !
Thanks!!
How long does the brake fluid take to strip off paint? Does it work better than the simple green/purple power?
Tony Lantzer It really depends on how long the paint has been on the body. Generally I put the body in the brake fluid bath and leave it over night. The next day, every bit of the paint has been stripped on the body, primer included. Take an old toothbrush to remove the any paint in the body lines and crevices. Wash thoroughly with Dawn dishwashing detergent and your ready for another another paint job. Hope this helps.
How many times can you use the same fluid? Thanks for any input. Really enjoy talking models with anyone. Thanks again
It works a while for me. When you paint as crappy as me it'd better last a while!! Lol
Very nice
Thanks Neal!
I agree with you...the Stance needs leveled...I have the model...I shaved all the door handles an front an rear molds....just got back into ....if you can see my pic on how I want it give me your feedback back....
Very cool....
Nice build!
Thanks Savalis!
Looks awesome!!
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Welcome to the community!!! Jeff sent me over.... lots of cool stuff!!! Just subbed your channel. TCWAGS 👍😎
Thanks!!
Great looking Chevelle, awesome build. Nice detail work. Just found your channel and subbed you. K.u.t.g.w. Buddy.
I love it just Just subscribed
Thanks Joe!!👍🏻👍🏻
On a 67 ss the back panel over the rear bumper is painted black with just the ss left chrome. On a non ss car it is body color.
Use simple green to remove paint easily, I still have stained body on rework kit from using fusion type paint.
Just sub'd to your channel your chevell turned out great.
Thanks James!!👍
Wondering if you are going to build one of your simi truck kits????
I haven't really thought about it. Maybe so.
pretty cool turn out great just subbed to you
Thanks!
Hey Matt, what type of paint did you use for the chrome trim, and how durable would you say it is? Thx
That was from way back and I think I taped it off and used rustolium metallic. It's ok but not compared to the chrome paints I'm using now.
@@modelcarvideos5829 Thanks for the response. 👍🏼
how u get the hood to stay in place because with the thingy s on top of engine wouldn’t the hood stick out
What color orange is that? Need that tnt express!
I can't even remember. If I do I'll let you know.
Should do a new Dodge Charger, in tnt express orange, with general lee decals!
Do you think I can build one but make it into a normal Chevelle?
Probably so but it's already tubbed.
@@modelcarvideos5829 ok thanks sorry for the late reply but I’ll think about buying one
Where are you getting all the idea about putting the blow by tubes in and all that if you can let me know I really appreciate it because I can't find somebody to help me but I found I don't I can't find no help
Great build...terrible music 😅
Thanks 🤦🏻
Looks good. Sits to high.
