In San Antonio, TX at Randys Ballroom in mid 80s there was a crowd of maybe a few hundred people. My brother and I were 16 and 18. We bought two tickets for the show earlier that day. When we arrived, we were told that you had to be 18 to get in. Since my younger brother was denied entry, we were considering sitting in the parking lot and hoping to hear it from outside. We were seated in my car and waiting for the show to begin and we see Bobby Ellsworth walking over toward a convenience store. So we excitedly ran over and explained to him our situation. He told us to wait right there, so that he cold get some cigarettes, and that he would return in a moment. One minute later, he escorts us to the backstage area, introduces us to the band, and gave us two seats ON THE STAGE. We were in such disbelief at what he had just done for us. This was the best experience of our lives, at that time. Nothing could have made that show better for us. We shared this story for many years and I have even recently, told this to my daughter, who is 18 and enjoys live concerts. A lot of thanks to Bobby Ellsworth. He will always have our respect and he will never be forgotten. We will forever Feel the Fire.
Wow! That is amazing! I have a similar story about Slipknot. They came to my town in 99. They were still in clubs back then, and the show sold out incredibly quickly. My cousin and I went down to just hang and maybe get a photo or something. I saw a guy get off the bus that looked "metal". We had no idea who they were without the masks, but we approached him and started chatting. Turns out it was Sid from the band. He asked if we were going to the show. We said we didn't have tickets. He told us to go by the backstage door around the side of the club and wait. About 20 minutes later the door opens up, and we're walked backstage by a roadie. We got to meet most of the band and hang before the show. Really cool experience. However, I fully admit I'd be a little more excited in your story. I like Slipknot and all, but man Overkill are thrash LEGENDS!
That's the Type of guy Bobby is!!! I have had an experience too with Bobby when he played at a bar in the Early 90's, and the band took a break, and i saw Bobby in the Crowd of Fans walking towards the Bar, and i said Hello, and he said Hello, Thanks for attending our show!, and he shook my hand gave me a hug, and we had a Quick Beer together! What a down to Earth type of guy!!! The show started out just like this one!!! The Horrorscope Tour!!! They Rock!!! Better than Metallica, Megadeth, etc. etc.

@@metalheadmike774 yeah. For contrast, I saw Slayer in 2018 on their farewell tour and that shit sounded awful. Didn't enjoy any of the songs because of the garbage sound.
I was there and it sounded pretty different. Most lives re-dub everything nowadays. The fact that you hear bobby sing during kill at command when in reality he forgot the lyrics is a dead giveaway.

Bobby Badass Blitz Ellsworth is one of the most unique and characteristic frontmans of any Thrash Metal band with the most iconic and easily recognizable voices that has held up very well especially considering his nose cancer. Definitely a big influence on many iconic bands especially Pantera. Long live Overkill ☠️🤟🏽♥️

I saw em first time in 91 or 92 on the Horroscope tour. One of their guitarists couldn't play they show and had to hospitalized for unknown reasons at the time but he told the band to drive on that night. Honestly the most brutal thrash metal show i have ever seen. Well in 2008 at Rocklahoma i got to meet Overkill and i was talking to Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth and i asked him about that show and he finished my sentence for me. He absolutely remembered that and told me that his guitarist had kidney stones and couldn't play. The fact he remembered it so quickly was insane. He's such a great dude! I still have the Original C.D. i bought back then.
this just made my day. i grew up listening to overkill and i can’t stop smiling when i see/hear these guys play. praying to see them live again once this s**t is over.
Quite amusing around 1hr 51 (1:50:06) where it all goes to poo on Kill at Command. Not sure why they left it in the video really - most bands would just have cut that bit out. It makes it look like maybe Blitz was on playback all evening, but I guess they just overdubbed the song from the album or another show.

Just One F#cking Awesome Metal Band! The Best Sound i have Ever heard Live by a Metal Band!!! Great Video! Great Sound Quality!!! I've been waiting on this Video to happen for Many Years!!! I remember seeing Overkill for the First time back in the 90's when they released their Horrorscope C.D.! What a F#cking Rocking Show!!!! It started just like this!!!! This Band Rocks!!!!🎤, and Eddie Trunk's Dumb Ass should know that Horrorscope is one of the Best Metal C.D.'s out there!!!!
AWESOME, although I wish this quality live show of the whole album was out back in like 91-92 with my heroes on Guitar....Merritt Gant, and Rob Canavino!! The last 3 albums with Atlantic were just AWESOME. Especially....W.F.O.
this is sooo incredible i have been maimed and rendered speechless, and my fingers are so numb that i can't type anymore, god damn what an incredible recording.
Saw them live in highschool, they got on stage at 10pm, when their setlist was over they said they didnt feel like stopping... so they played till 1 in the morning
I am aware that there is some overdubs in this recording. But that being said, I've seen this lineup before and they are pretty on point. Overall, I fucking love this band.
If i live to be 100...i will still be blasting the wrecking crew Overkill....Overkill fans are loyal hell-rats...rivet-heads...metal-heads, right out of the gutter 😈
surprised to hear them playing in standard tuning. No detuning at their ages, impressive. Last time I saw poor ol' ozzy, he was like two full steps down in C. Death metal Bark at the Moon.
Trunk not knowing Horroscope was the biggest record is not surprising. There was a Thrash renaissance at that time and for just a sec Overkill were the kings. A few short years later Pantera were on top and the rest is history.
Trunk is a Dumb Ass for Not knowing that Horrorscope was their Best Seller!!!! That's what got me to see them Live!!!! I bought their C.D., and the Rest of their C.D.s I still have them Today from back in the 90's.
1.12.35 the guy speaks the mind of Overkill fans, in my perspective they are in the big four may be the 3rd band after metallica and slayer or equal with these 2.
"Kill At Command" ruclips.net/video/6sciyadxDMg/видео.html video de mi amigo que estaba en el concierto, mal funcionamiento del microfono. Escucha sonido real. A los efectos del DVD, se grabó.

I am fortunate enough to have been born and raised in NJ, so I've seen Overkill 20+ times. Birch Hell Nite club, Starland Ballroom
On 15 tours I attended Overkill was the only support act who could ever stand up against Motörhead. That says a lot. 2007 in Stuttgart.
Simply stated, OVERKILL are the real kings of thrash, never sold-out, never relenting 🤘😝🤘

Last time watched these boys was at some 2008 show. Very pleased to see they still having it to spit the fire!
A great and non-aging band
March 13 2022 show. At the house of blues Orlando Florida we will be there can’t wait been five years since we last saw them
Saw them live in highschool, they got on stage at 10pm, when their setlist was over they said they didnt feel like stopping... so they played till 1 in the morning
Overkill the Motorhead of America
This is awesome! And sound is great quality! 🔥
I am aware that there is some overdubs in this recording. But that being said, I've seen this lineup before and they are pretty on point. Overall, I fucking love this band.
My all time favorite. .
Excellent performance
Great metallic crowd !!! Headbang! Not some random festival audience.
Sound is explosive !
Thanks for sharing. It's simply amazing
🔥🔥🔥⚡⚡⚡🤟🤟🤟
los verdaderos reyes del thrash
If i live to be 100...i will still be blasting the wrecking crew Overkill....Overkill fans are loyal hell-rats...rivet-heads...metal-heads, right out of the gutter 😈
Blitz sounds killer. He'll yeah👺👹☠🤘
Horoscope und W.F.O für mich Meisterwerke
surprised to hear them playing in standard tuning. No detuning at their ages, impressive. Last time I saw poor ol' ozzy, he was like two full steps down in C. Death metal Bark at the Moon.
Amazing fucking band , I love overkill soon in New York 2 weeks
Don't know what Eddie Trunk is thinking because Horrorscope is one of the best Thrash albums ever but not just thrash but metal in general
Rhythm, guitar kills!
Konser sangat dahsyat
I saw overkill in the 90 in longisli with life of agony
Trunk not knowing Horroscope was the biggest record is not surprising. There was a Thrash renaissance at that time and for just a sec Overkill were the kings. A few short years later Pantera were on top and the rest is history.
Trunk is a Dumb Ass for Not knowing that Horrorscope was their Best Seller!!!! That's what got me to see them Live!!!! I bought their C.D., and the Rest of their C.D.s I still have them Today from back in the 90's.
AWESOME MEMORIES, MAN 16 YEARS OLD!
Always Awesome 🤘😎🤘
Overkill sets the standard for skill and longevity, just beating Metallica. Don't kill me!
Overkill is the real deal, they never sold out, stayed loyal to their roots, and have been around longer than Metallica actually.
Agreed! Better than Metallica!!! Megadeth, etc.
1.12.35 the guy speaks the mind of Overkill fans, in my perspective they are in the big four may be the 3rd band after metallica and slayer or equal with these 2.
Wowwwww!!! Brutal live sound!!!!!!
Their best album is Years of Decay though
Escucha sonido real. A los efectos del DVD, se grabó.
Voice hasn't changed since!
Me podrías decir qe paso?
Blitz’s vocals haven’t aged a day
I'm not a fan but wow!!!...they sound so amazing live!
King OVERKILL 🤘🤘🤘🇹🇷
After a long time i have seen here the fucking real fan!!
Who is drumming? Rob Lipnicki? Jason Bittner?
