This was such a good break down of the shoe. I have owned this shoe for about a year and found them very comfortable, but I have many of the same issues I'm te considering getting another pair. Enjoyed the video!
You might have answered this in a video so I'm sorry if you have.. ill try to keep this as short as possible. I trained in the peg turbos, loved them, but they didn't last long, started splitting where the foams meet. Nike refunded me and I got peg 35s. I really want to like them, I feel like my foot position when I land and all that is really good.. but something about them just doesn't feel right to me. I'm not sure if too hard or too stiff is the right way to describe it... but do you think either the epic react or odyssey react might be good alternatives?
I feel late to the game. I have about 300 miles on this shoe and wrote it off early as well and it became a Treadmill shoe due to the sock like feel. However, as I broke in the Zoom Fly 3 and falling out of love with the Structures (#bigbonedflatfootedrunner) I'm realizing I had a lot of fast runs in this shoe without realizing it. Now that I have insoles in the Zoom Fly 3 and crowned it my Half/Full Marathon racer, the Odyssey now seems to be the best stability companion trainer shoe.
Nike also has a legend react which is even cheaper, but ironically enough, the synthetic uppers tend to be more durable and last longer than flyknit. Epic Reacts in general I find are more comfortable to be a daily runner than pegasus or any of the zoom flys
Great and informative video. I'm a kind of beginner and started running and exercising lately again. Just ordered this shoes to start with so I can train for my first half marathon taking place in September. You said you don't like blue shoes in another vid. This colour looks terrible in my opinion. I picked up a triple black. Can't wait to have it delivered. Keep up the good work!
@@kofuzi Thanks man! Any suggestions on half marathon racing shoes (something more budget-friendly)? I guess my training shoes (Nike Odyssey Flyknit 2) would do this time since I`m not a pro. I`m wondering what are your thoughts.
A note on Flyknit, I bought the Epic React FK which were really(painfully) snug. I was intending on returning them because I figured my foot was too wide for the shoe but since the Nike store where I bought them was out of my way, I decided to keep them. I've worn them several times and it does seem that they either have stretched or just conformed to my feet. They fit very comfortably and I actually prefer these now.

they release React shoes all the time. Epic React releases in multiple colors over time. Odyssey React is the same but maybe not as many colors. Then there's Legend React. The Pegasus Turbo has React in it. The Terra Kiger is a trail shoe with React in it. The Zoom Vomero 14 has React in it. The Zoom Fly Flyknit is React. There are basketball shoes with React in them. There are casual shoes with React in them. Releases of shoes with React foam are frequent. Nike is really pushing it. As far as Volt goes, the Zoom Fly Flyknit was recently released in a Volt color. Nike seems to be using Volt as more of an accent color though, rather than as a main color, such as we've been seeing with their Crimson. But I think we will be seeing a lot of green/yellow in 2019, so if you like Volt, this could be a good year for you.

i believe this shoe doesn't work for people with wide feet. i'm typically a 10 wide. 10.5 was snug but manageable for me for the peg turbos (as you've mentioned as well, i also experienced the tightness to go away when actually running). i went with 11.5 in the odyssey reacts (so 1.5 sizes up!!!), anticipating a tight shoe, and i felt like the upper was too tight around the midfoot as well as the base of the shoe being too narrow for my midfoot, resulting in an off-center(?) heel and subsequently a lot of heel pain after even short runs (

i would agree with that
Exactly!
@@kofuzi, now i run 10km a day with a minima speed, but my weight is still the same over and over again, but my body build up is getting skinny specially my chest is getting flat... is that normal? Do you feel it to as a long distance everyday runner?
i don't usually pay attention to weight.
how do you feel?
@@kofuzi i feel kinda weird.
@kofuzi did you feel it was a little pronated ?
I didn’t
Just bought a pair of these for Cross Country
I hope they work out! Please let me know what you think later on in the season!
kofuzi will do
Did you go up a size? Or true?
Please review Reebok zigtech🙏🙏😂
I don’t currently have plans to review that shoe. I’m not familiar
The Odyssey just has too many "I love it, except..."'s about it. I'll be surprised if Nike still has it in its line in 2 years.
i hear you on the excepts. and it did get discounted very very quickly. almost instantly, really.
but nike sometimes has a hard time discontinuing lines. like the zoom elite.
i saw some pictures of pegasus 36
Where?
Emma Abrahamson apparently got a pair when she was visiting Nike campus. She shows them in her latest video.
Duuuuuuuude
Yo
Broo
???
this isn't customer support
please answer
i'm not sure what you were expecting in terms of turnaround time for a reply to your question
Oh,the fit is tooooooo snug...boohoohoo...LOL
You've obviously not run in a shoe that fits snug
OK four minutes of useless intro.
Very impressed to see so little wear after 100 miles WOW!
I bought a size bugger, as in store I found my regular size to be too small my big toe was almost already hitting the inner toe front. I figure when running start stopping it would be maxing out. Bigger size didn't seem to big. I usually don't go up a full size ever so i was surprised. Good price cant complain there.
if you haven't figured it out, this channel is nothing but useless intro, masquerading as a review channel
@@kofuzi No I hadn't figured that out. I can't imagine what your thinking. Is it a time thing, make the videos longer? Some sort of U tube algorithm?
first
Nice
can you recommend a nike react shoe similar to odyssey 2? thanks
???
i'm still not a customer rep. if you need live chat, please go to nike.com
