honestly, for the animations this game takes it to a whole new level, the characters feel. Alive, it remembers me to a couple games like cuphead (ofc not being as smooth but quite similar in the idea), the characters actually feel like they hav emotions, pretty much all dialogs are with movements that feels fluid like before the boss how the booba girl yells at the man, and both really do have that feeling of aliveness, or at least animation. And the fact that the game already looks overall good, then you add the animations, i just cant wait to see the final version.
The game's animation as a whole looks smooth as hell and, at least when expectating, it seems like it enhances the fluiidity of gameplay and makes it look so badass.
Love animations techniques Hoyo went on this time : -The camera placement showing kore angle -the hair or fur being fully animated and rigged such as Billy’s -character animation being more fluid due to the way you see them bending like rubber if you pause at the right moment which is an animating technique to make it more dynamic -Switching character makes the one about to go off-field still standing there few seconds till it retreat while the one about to go on-field coming from behind the camera, making it look like you’re actually fighting with teammates
I definitely like how you can see the character dash in and the other characters dashes back during the switch. The combo is also not interrupted. Then there is the qte. They have definitely refined their character switching mechanics.
I hope they adapt this switching animation over at Genshin. It simply looks cooler and it gives an illusion that your other characters are actually with you.

Man this looks like a good game! I just hope they dont go too far on the jiggle physics since one of the female characters chest is bouncing way too much. But overall it looks like a fun game! Hopefully the story is good as the game plan
The characterization and combat animation is just perfect for the art style. Hoyoverse once again assert their dominance for the finer details. When you consider it, Honkai being their starter focusing more on waifu attraction and story+animation (it's installment/successor, HSR, taking over with turn-based fights and addition of husbandos) while Genshin is at open world and character cashgrab, seems like they are finally starting to focus on upping their camera angles and combat settings for ZZZ. A very much welcome eye candy for me.
I wonder how the Gacha system will play into this. If I know the Beta testing, there wasn’t anything alluding to a wishing system for characters anywhere. Which is odd tbh because Hoyoverse has earned the most money from doing that so why wouldn’t they do it here? But who knows? It’s the beta. I definitely think it’ll be there after the game’s release.
............Yeah I have zero regrets about quitting Genshin to wait for this instead now..... This is so much more my aesthetic and these characters look like they have real personalities and designs.....
