I don’t think tacticalbassins video was saying all swimbait fishing is easy. He’s saying it’s not as hard as some people think and not to be intimidated by big baits.
I’m not saying anything about the video, I’m just saying that the title might be misleading to some and that people might get the wrong idea of the title to actually watching the video. For me, I’ve watched tons of tactical bassin videos and a lot of them have them explaining why things are happening the way that they are. In this particular video, Matt didn’t sit down and have that 1-1 explanation of swimbait fishing in the winter so it threw me off.
Tyler Love Skunking is a part of the game, I chose to fish swimbaits and understand that a lot of times you don’t catch anything, not catching fish just doesn’t surprise these days 🤷🏿♂️
You hit the nail on the head! Matt knows things most people don’t. I know you’re not smashing em, I follow them too. I can’t even imagine possessing the angling knowledge and skills he does, it would take a fraction of the time it takes me to figure em out. Do you use a super low geared reel to creep your Hudd? It barely moves, not sure I could fish that slow. Keep hammering at em kid, you’ll figure it out. You put yourself out there, much respect, keep it up!!
CA That’s what I’m saying! Matt is a god at catching fish on Clear Lake! Dude has been doing it for years now! For me, I don’t creep hudds or any bottom baits, I keep it at a slow pace that the bait stays on the bottom but at a speed that seems natural
Keep grinding man! Winter is brutal, I love Tactical but it is not easy. I’ve spent many hours this winter throwing swimbaits and the only thing that’s been working is jigging deep! Love the vids, don’t stop!
Just went back and watched the tacticalbassin video again. I guess it's all in how you take the context. To me he is saying the technique of throwing the huddleston in winter is easy not necessarily the catching of fish. He did say you have to put in the time but the bites will come. I do see where the title of the video can be misleading but if you follow tacticalbassin you know what lake they live on, you know they know the lake top to bottom and they know the fish's patterns for the different seasons. Therefore I didnt pay much attention to the title or context originally other then watching him catch and loose some fish on the hud.
On another note. I like the videos you put out. Some of the people I follow show those skunk days and I like it because it shows that not every day on the water is lights out or not every fishery is lights out all the time.
Right on, yeah, I just wanted to talk about the title to video aspect and make sure people understand that swimbait fishing in the winter is not easy, it’s just that some dudes are better than others at it like Matt on Clear Lake 😂
Shoal Stopper Where am I “hating” on Matt in this video? I said that the video was good and that Matt is a stick? I’m just critiquing the title and the actual video. Making sure that people don’t think that just because a professional guide whacks them in the winter means that swimbait fishing is easy.
With it being so close to the holidays you'd expect people to be a lot happier but there is some angry people in the comments. Good video, I couldn't agree more with what you said. Have a good Christmas
Props bruh! The end of this video made the whole vid. I've gone out twice this winter (small baits) and ended up with no video. Showing the real deal is always a bangin' vid
Your day is the kind of fishing I think most people have, I know it’s like mine. I’ve caught one fish in my last three trips and that was my only bite. That’s the reality of not fishing on one of the best bass lakes in the country.
Great video bro,it’s definitely been a struggle lately! We all know swimbait fishing is not easy.I lost an 8 inch Huddleston right after watching that video myself and got skunked! One of my worst fishing trips ever!I feel your pain bro!
Budjet Bassin Huh, I hate losing baits and not catching fish all in the same day! But those are the days we look back on when we finally catch the fish we have been after for!
How does the higher gear ratio do compared to the normal Z2020? I still need a reel specifically for glidebaits and I can't choose between the two decisions. I wish you much fun with your new beauty!
Off topic here but I am in the market for a true monster glider. Since you’ve fished both the hinkle and mother, which one is better in your opinion? Which one has the wider glide and the most drawing power? Thanks!
Kevin Zap I know I’m not him but I have both and I will tell you the hinkle is far more worth the money than the mother. Mother is way overpriced with paint that comes off very easily where as the hinkle is way more durable. Also there is just a special glide to a hinkle you just can’t recreate. Again just my opinion. Hope this helps if he doesn’t reply
I follow them and watched that video too, I think he said he was dragging the Hudd over a hump with some rocks on it. I just went out today on foot and got lucky and caught a 2.5 pounder on a River2Sea S-waver when it was really windy and raining. Nice video, I agree with you, it's hard to get a good swimbait bite in the winter.
I really like the S-waver, it has a nice erratic action and you can do a lot with it, and it is pretty cheap. I really want to get a deps 250 slide swimmer for winter time glide bait fishing but they are a little pricey, especially for me, a fourteen year old with no real job. I just got my first swimbait set up, a daiwa lexa WN 300 paired with a dobyns fury series 8 foot 6 power rod, I did an unboxing video on it, and I got a few huddlestons and some magic mouses from G- ratt lures and I am going to buy some off their sneaky pete glide baits at the sportmans expo this coming January. Keep on slaying them out there man, tight lines.
His winter and other people's winter aren't the same thing. Different weather patterns, way warmer temps to the point you can't really call it winter other than the fact the calendar says it's winter. Maybe easy in Cali, throw a swimbait in my water in winter time and it's smacking ice. 😂😂🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ Love the videos tho King, keep'em comin 🤙🏻🤘🏻
I have no swim baits, so, I can’t say if it’s easy or not, but I can say winter fishing can be tough. Five hours on the kayak on Christmas Day yielded absolutely nothing. Then 30 minutes from the bank yesterday, and landed a nice 3 pounder. There are so many variables, maybe someday I’ll figure it out. For now I’ll keep checking out your channel and others (i.e. TacticalBassin) for new ideas and things to try.
To everyone who thinks this is disrespectful or hating on Matt, no one in their right mind would do that lol. I live in Washington State where our lakes are frozen, so Matt’s title is wrong (for my area) but I also recognize the fact it really depends on location and angler ability. For those starting out in the swim game, it’s easy to see fish catching and be discouraged. This video context is saying it ain’t always easy. Do work and continue to do work. It’s actually positive if ya’ll think about it for a sec...
It seems like from every TB swimbait video I've watched (and I've literally watched them all) Matt gravitates toward the Hudd in the winter. I don't think he is throwing glides at all and it seems like he is fishing the Hudd on the bottom as slow as humanly possible. I think I recall from one of your earlier videos that you haven't had as much luck with slow rolling soft baits on the bottom, but prefer a straight retrieve. Maybe, try one session where you put down the glides and strictly stick to that tactic? I'm not saying it has worked for me. I've been skunked all winter on slow bottom rolled Hudds, glides and pretty much everything I throw. haha.
I totally agree w you bro. The water temp up north here in MA is 35/36 F. Super hard to catch a bass. I think Matt’s view doesn’t hold true in all states. I feel in your video water temp is still much higher than MA. You couldn’t get bites, I would just not bother with it. Thx for the video!
Here I SD it's pretty easy to get on swimbait fish you just have to know the spots and what baits do better on certain Bodies of water. One of my favorite lakes that are crystal clear that have tons of DDs in them the only want Baitsmiths and topwater glide baits like the mattlures surface glide etc. But if you want to just catch fish and alot of fish on the swimbait there's a few lakes out here where the klash gets smoked more than any bait. If you or any of your friends want to fish out here in SD I Know the spots for when you guy come down. PS if you guys want to see Dottie 2.0 head down here soon 🤫😉
@@crazybassfisher yeah dude she might be even bigger than Dottie saw her a week and a half ago. He's probably 25-30 pounds. She also has hunting partners that are both over ten. I've seen some crazy shit happen on that body of water.
I was there same day as you, only go one follow... two trips in a row I skunked, still going to keep my commitment this winter of trying to catch a bass on a big swimbait!
Swimbait fishing and bass fishing in General up here in Oregon for the most part is extremely challenging due to the amount of rainfall we get and the fluctuating water levels and overall conditions ( water temps, and visibility) But on another note, I've caught my biggest fish in the winter here before it floods out. Everyone's "winter" is different even just along the west coast. I think Matt's title was a bit misleading, but his main point of the video is that it can be done if you put in the time. Thanks for keeping the good content coming and I wish you the best this winter season. 🤙
💯 thanks for keeping it real. I think Matt shouldn’t post a misleading title imo also. I grinded with a huddleston for 3 months 3-5 days a week and caught one fish @ 3lbers.
Glad u brought this up I thought the same exact thing u did! His home lake produces hogs and numbers. Swimbait fishin is a grind unless your on clear lake
Im gonna order myself a coupple special 68's in a shad pattern and start throwin em at plez and bart, saggy is to far from home for me and they dont stock these lakes with trout
When it comes down to it, bass will see your bait as a meal, not a specific prey item. So you can throw a shad colored hudd at trout eaters and those fish will just look at it as an easy meal. I’ve caught hudd fish in places that don’t have trout and vise versa!
I'm sure matt is not saying that it's extremely easy (guaranteed) to catch bass in the winter with swimbaits. In general, i believe he is simply implying that if you go throwing swimbaits. You just fish it slow and steady without overthinking things... but hes not saying that you will catch bass everytime.
Fishing for bass in AZ during the winter is exceptionally difficult. My 1st thought as to why is the water clarity. It's so clear & calm + it's usually a bluebird day. Honestly in my recent experience this winter I only seem to get bites on the initial fall (using underspin w/a split tail fluke style bait fish trailer. Ned rig is my best fish producer in the winter but it's so boring. In fact it's so boring I've picked up Carp fishing. And Im really enjoying it so far. Caught a huge Carp out of Anthem last Wednesday. I don't own a net scale yet but it was all of 20lbs & smelled like death. Good luck man, that's why it's called fishing not catching.
Bruce Simmons Carp fishing is incredibly fun! I use to do it as a kid all the time, those things fight sooooo hard on light line, nice break up from the much harder bass fishing haha
@@crazybassfisher I fell through the ice when I was a kid, I haven't been too keen on being out on the ice since then. Ifish the creeks and rivers from the bank for bass here in the winter. Good luck out there!
Love your vids dude! Matt is on one of the bass lakes in the world and also guides on that lake, he also guides for a living on that exact lake so I’m sure it is easier for him than it would be for just about anyone else on the planet.
Ya bro swimbait in winter easy for Matt Allen who is a beast, awesome dude, and watched the swimbait become a tool but for the rest of us commonfolk or even skilled anglers its so hard. I'm like 10 skunk trips in a row
Owen Murray That’s what I was trying to say, Matt is so good that he makes it seem easy when the rest of us guys struggle hard haha, I’m in the same boat dude, 10+ trips now!
No doubt about it, winter swimbait fishing is not easy. Spent three months fishing every weekend last winter with only a few bites..then catch 5.9, 7.6 , and 10.8 in 3 casts.
Winter blows in my neck of the woods🌬🥶. I have to switch to ice fishing when the lakes get capped with 2 feet of solid concrete 🧊. So winter swimbait fishing is impossible for me
Yes winter swimbait fishing is a big grind well atleast it is for me in the East coast. But I love the challenge and for me it’s the most fun way catch LMB. Just the anticipation of potentially hooking up a trophy size LMB is worth the grind to me
That is what it is a content video. I felt that some of your titles were missed leading as well. I’ve noticed the trend on RUclips. To grab attention. Matt has shown in other content the theory behind it. This is a video proving it. Your experience is not to Matt’s level. Keep grinding to figure out your fishery. Your content has a lot of trend following. Fishing the same baits all the time will not produce Matt and tactical bassn show more Versatility. Throwing the same bait over and over is like trying to force the fish to eat it instead of adapting to figure out with the fish want. Just my opinion keep on fishing and learn to adapt good work.
It's hard here in Rhode Island, you have the whole lake to yourself and alot of times never catch anything and this year has been the worst only one Bass over 5 lb a 5.13 where other years I've caught 12-14 Bass over 5 and about the same on 4 lb class Bass, and did focus on Glidebaits exclusively, the SWaver200, I'm just in Love with that lure, the Bluegill color, looking forward to 2020 after ice is gone 👊👊👍
Tactical bassin used to be my favorite big fish swimbait channel. In recent years I feel like they've turned their focus more on marketing and affiliate link sales and less on the true big fish theory and technique videos. Alot of their recent "how to" videos are simply cast to catch videos with a 5 minute explanation. Miss the way they used to do things
A lot of Tactical Bassin's older videos are definitely swimbait related. If you watched them over the last couple years, they have made it easier for all different types of bass fisherman. You have to remember that Matt is a guide so he is going to get his clients on fish. With the amount of time Matt and Tim have put on the water, seminars, tournaments and all around time and effort fishing they deserve everything they get. They put a lot of time to get those links and sponsorships. It's awesome that they get compensated and still put out videos talking about techniques and tackle to catch fish of a lifetime. It's what they do to make ends meet and get to take trips all around the states showing us that the products and techniques catch fish everywhere. They started out just like Crazybassfisher prior to RUclips! Think about that for a minute. Look at everything they do for Tackle Warehouse, River2Sea, Shimano, GLoomis,(Dobyn's previously and still) and Dirty Jigs. I think they do more than pro's do due to their exposure on RUclips! It's pretty damn cool that we get to watch all of the guys putting video's out on RUclips to learn new techniques and tackle that we may not know about prior. Hell, even the Googan guys are out making money because they put the time and effort into it from the start. Alright, I'll stop ranting. I give all the guys credit for getting to do what they love for a living.
I still think tactical bassin make fire ass videos for those that are getting into the sport! I haven’t watched a lot of their videos lately due to them getting away from the swimbait videos to branching out and making videos on frog fishing, jig fishing, crankbait fishing, etc. their videos are still really entertaining to watch and every now n than they still drop some awesome tips
Totally got the point of this video . Solid upload . Just got skunked 3 swimbait trips in a row , on a very very good lake . Catching big fish is easy if you’re near them and they are hungry .
Ok, I never comment on videos but now is my time. I've been into bass fishing for a few YEARS now (4) and I've NEVER caught a bass (stripers don't count) after donating ribs and teeth to tackle warehouse!!!!! The grind continues...I'm gonna get a gopro and show how much it sucks. You guys be glad you hook up as much as you do. Oh bank fishing sucks too.
Jay Hasnis Youll get it dude! I fished the banks for most of my life and I know the struggles of it! But when it happens it’s gonna be the greatest feeling in the world!
Thanks guys, I'm gonna grind it out I started watching all of you guys videos and it just seems like the best thing ever. Btw a moam stick is gonna ne ordered soon. Dam dude talk about down the rabbit hole.
its called "fishing" not catching i feel like that's a thing most fishermen nowadays refuse to accept, i appreciate it because it teaches me patience and new tactics. Im not ranting im just saying people need to get used to going out and not catching fish and then they'll enjoy fishing more and also we dont all fish world class fisheries either so we cant be like most youtube fishermen too.
Dylan A Yes sir, I learned that at a young age that some days you just don’t catch fish, it defines us and makes each catch just that extra more special!
@@crazybassfisher not enough people have though but i really appreciate your activity on your channel and discussions in the comments its nice to be able to bounce info back and forth
What lake are you at ? Canyon ? P.s .. yes / totally agree , clear lake is one of the best bass lakes in the nation . I’m stuck with lake mead - it’s 😡😡 I Also usually take December & January off - break time 😉 The money & time spent is not equal to the labor of love
Totally agree! Some other good fisherman agree as well and feel like it might hurt people who are grinding and not catching fish. Kind of a boastful video he posted. Glad you pointed it out
donminter9 The video is really good, the only thing that I was thrown off about was the title, I truly thought that Matt was gonna sit down and explain what he was doing and why like he normally does in his video but never got it. For him, he’s a professional guide, shit is gonna come way easier for him just because he’s been doing it for so long and has learned sooo much about that lake. Dude is just too good haha
Edward Chun Who knows, one of my buddies have been catching fish lately but it hasn’t been wide open at all, super precise timing is what it seems like right now! I bet Matt could find some bites out here though, dude is super smart!
Bro I love your videos. Don’t be so salty, there’s not many good swimbait channels on RUclips to begin with. you don’t need to bash one of the best ones because he can get on them and you haven’t been able to.
Kyle Gadd Theres absolutely no salt at all my man. Just wanted to explain what the title and video represented. Of course to a professional guide like Matt, winter swimbait fishing can be easy, but to guys that aren’t sticks like him, winter swimbait fishing can be tough so we don’t want people getting the wrong idea of the whole fishing in swimbaits thing. I chose to fish swimbaits understanding that I might not catch a fish for a whole season, I have already accepted that🤣 not hate/shade/salt is in this video at all. I guess I came off wrong in my explanation 😂
Most advice I ever took from tactical bassin did not work out for me at all. No joke. Often my experience is very different or even the opposite of what they say. Including losing fish on baits like hudds following their advice. I gave up trying to take advice from them. Remember also they’re business men as much or even more than they are anglers. Tackle warehouse number one affiliate. Over complicating the ish out of fishing one technique at a time, then sending you to the warehouse to buy the gear is top priority as it’s their livelihood. iiwii.
To be fair, your title which is a direct shot at Matt's is misleading as well. You never really explained why generally winter fishing isn't easy. You posted one sunny trip, chopped up the video, threw some filler footage in, and said it's tough b/c you went out for 10hrs and didn't catch anything. I thought this vid was going to be true to it's title in describing what truly makes winter time swimbaiting tough but it's turned out to be a debate on someone else's video title
SocalofSD This whole video was just a response video. That’s why I gave context to the video at the end. Didn’t make this video really for any other reason haha
I see it both ways, Tactical is probaly trying to make it sound better, when I’m reality it is hard no matter who you are. There just trying to get more people to get into swimbaiting. But then people that go out there and grind all day and not get a bite, it’s misleading to them. He might really think it’s easy he might not but that’s how I see it. It’s the the context you see it in. His winter is different than others and he has Great Lakes to fish. I personally don’t think it easy. Just think about it both ways👍🏽good video btw
AJ Otero Yes sir! It’s all about context for each person. I see it both ways of course, he’s a god at what he does so the title made it misleading with the video not explaining much haha
Dre Brooks It didn’t, just the title of the video didn’t match what I was expecting from a tactical bassin video, there’s not a lot to digest from the video overall
No hate, i definitely know the struggle of putting time, effort, and money into slinging swimbaits and rarely getting bit. Matt is a Godfather in the SB world. Where he is located, his knowledge, and hard work is why he gets bit like that. I seen the video when it was posted and sarcastically mocked it. Cuz i know for me SB fishing isnt that way, im not in a good location for fish like that but i dont bitch about it. Geoffrey's just annoyed with all the work he puts in with no results, i totally get it, but homie even if there's giants there, its not where hes at. It really is that easy for him and people at his level. I get annoyed watching these newbs to fishing/RUclips and buy a SB for clickbait and have know idea what they have in their hand. Then they go out and catch more and bigger fish than i have and ive been grinding hard for years. Its simply your fishery and it sucks ass but thats really it. Much love for you bro, my bestfriend and i love your vids, just keep your head up and when you finally get the one, itll be bitter sweet. Just be glad you dont live in Arkansas😂 if i want a double digit my luck is in texas😂 keep up the content, ill watch even without you holdin them fatties🤙👍
yakin_ zack Hahaha definitely not annoyed, I’ve gone whole seasons without catching anything before, I have accepted that I might not catch a fish at all haha. For Matt, swimbait fishing is easy because he is literally a god out there! For 95% that shit is hard haha
@@crazybassfisher well i got annoyed and jealous😂 but then i get jealous looking at how saucy your lake is😂 but my buddy and i talk about how your the most realist SB fishermen out there and how we can relate 100%😂 is it your goal to stick one from your home lake? Rather than like traveling to texas or cali? I mean i definitely get the satisfaction aspect of it, but do you enjoy going to a lake, dropping your boat in, and trying to fool the big bass in the water to bite? Ig for me its not so much personal, but i guess i like that challenge and just fishing different environments than my hometown
yakin_ zack Right now in my life, I want to stick a 10+ out of my home waters before I ever start thinking about branching out and fishing other places for that trophy size fish. My home lakes have the fish, it’s just that I need to challenge myself to figuring these fish out before I move on.
The saltiest video I have ever seen coming from an established RUclipsr. It was all about being confident throwing the big bait and for people to stop over thinking it and just go out and fish. He’s preached for years about people over complicating it. He sticks fish all over the country. Giants all over the country at that. Being salty is not the answer. Watch more of their content, you might learn something.
Tyler Love Where is the salt at? I just wanted to state that the title and video didn’t seem to match what I was expecting and I just wanted to explain to people that just because a stick like Matt is whacking fish in this video, doesn’t mean that swimbait fishing is easy. Matt is a stick and knows more about that lake than 90% of the dudes that fish it. I’ve watched Tactical bassin videos for years now.
I don’t believe that I was “hating” on Matt at all in this video. I ended up saying that the video was good and that Matt is a stick. Exactly what Owen said, just explaining the title to video aspect, that’s all
Gabe C Where is the shade? Like I said, the title didn’t fit the video and people might get the wrong idea that just because a professional guide catches fish, doesn’t mean that what he’s doing is easy. Obviously I know that Matt has spent a lot of time fishing Clear Lake and knows that lake very well. If anything, I was shocked that he didn’t explain anything which is kind of something tactical bassin is known for. But hey, you can take what I say as hate/shade, I have explained myself to the best of my ability.
caleb oliva Matt isn’t a fool or anything like that, the title served it’s purpose to grab people’s attention and the video made them stick around to watch. Super entertaining video just not a lot of explaining like I’m use to from a tactical bassin video
Moe Szyslak The intent is to never bounce them so hard, she just was able to come off midway and hit pretty hard, normally if they stay pinned, I’m able to bounce them softer.
I don’t think tacticalbassins video was saying all swimbait fishing is easy. He’s saying it’s not as hard as some people think and not to be intimidated by big baits.
Yeah he’s salty AF cause he gets skunked a lot.

I think tactical was just trying to encourage their viewers to get out there and try some big baits.
This Mann is not trying to bash Matt he is just informing people about the reality of swim-bait fishing during the cold months and to not be mislead.

LunkerswithLandon Nice man! I’d kill for a 2.5lber right now! How do you like the swaver?
Dosage Dame Hahaha yeah, there are sooo many variables that can play into it!
Thinking about getting a daiwa z2020 you said your reel was broke was it a mechanical issue
Biting tactical bassin for your video title nice man...real classy.real original.
Thomas LaRochelle SoCal is absolutely insane dude! I high key want to see Dottie 2.0 now 😳🤣
@@crazybassfisher yeah dude she might be even bigger than Dottie saw her a week and a half ago.
VitalFishing Hell yeah dude! Glad you guys at least got to see a fish that day!
Brian Sanders Yeah, the video was good, just the title threw me off the most. Oregon is a place I have wanted to fish for a while now lowkey!
@@crazybassfisher we have some great reservoirs and rivers with plenty of largemouth and smallmouth. Hit me up if your ever in the willamette valley.
Great explanation on Matt and Clear Lake! Would love to see him hit Puddingstone Lake in San Dimas CA lol
💯 thanks for keeping it real. I think Matt shouldn’t post a misleading title imo also. I grinded with a huddleston for 3 months 3-5 days a week and caught one fish @ 3lbers.
hes not putting a misleading title your just trash at fishing lmao
Glad u brought this up I thought the same exact thing u did! His home lake produces hogs and numbers. Swimbait fishin is a grind unless your on clear lake
Robo Dan I’ve heard CL can actually be tough sometimes, it does still take a lot of time and effort to find and pattern the big fish on that lake!
Im gonna order myself a coupple special 68's in a shad pattern and start throwin em at plez and bart, saggy is to far from home for me and they dont stock these lakes with trout
Lake doesn't have to be stocked with trout or have trout naturally in them to use a trout pattern. The bas still eat trout pattern baits.
It’s true that the lake doesn’t need to have trout in it for a bass to smack it
But wouldent a natural forage pattern increase my odds?
Not necessarily. Sometimes they are just looking for an easy meal.
I think you should try clear lake but more importantly the lakes around it
Loving the videos, especially with the water iced over in my part of PA.
Bassin' With Koontzer Thanks for watching! Are you gonna be ice fishing this season?
@@crazybassfisher I fell through the ice when I was a kid, I haven't been too keen on being out on the ice since then. Ifish the creeks and rivers from the bank for bass here in the winter. Good luck out there!
That Deps reel and swimbait is fire 🔥. I have fished the same lake as you. The winter bite has been extra tough , this year.
Play Maker11 The bite is definitely tough but I have definitely started to notice a few things that hopefully I can pick up on!
Love your vids dude! Matt is on one of the bass lakes in the world and also guides on that lake, he also guides for a living on that exact lake so I’m sure it is easier for him than it would be for just about anyone else on the planet.
Nick Vander Stelt Hell yeah, Matt has sooooo much knowledge on that lake it’s ridiculous!
Ya bro swimbait in winter easy for Matt Allen who is a beast, awesome dude, and watched the swimbait become a tool but for the rest of us commonfolk or even skilled anglers its so hard. I'm like 10 skunk trips in a row
Owen Murray That’s what I was trying to say, Matt is so good that he makes it seem easy when the rest of us guys struggle hard haha, I’m in the same boat dude, 10+ trips now!
crazybassfisher Ayyy misery loves company. Going out tomorrow and praying for a bite. Cheers dude 🤘
No doubt about it, winter swimbait fishing is not easy. Spent three months fishing every weekend last winter with only a few bites..then catch 5.9, 7.6 , and 10.8 in 3 casts.
Keep posting the bangers 🔥
Noah Lowry Thank you Noah! 🙏🔥
Looks like you are fishing my home lake!!
Such a BadAss reel! I love low profile reels and thats so sick!!
Troy Cote That reel is soooooo sick dude! I’m praying I don’t scratch it up🤣
Winter blows in my neck of the woods🌬🥶.
Just the anticipation of potentially hooking up a trophy size LMB is worth the grind to me
jong kang Yes sir! That anticipation is what drives us to keep going out there and chucking!
1 bite in 10 hours is a good day in the summer for me...
Can you make a highlight video dude
The title of their vid was a little controversial.. keep on grinding man, lovin' the vids.. maybe you can do a collab with tactical
bob smith It would be badass to collab with tactical! I need to make a trip to NorCal and see what all the fuss is about!
That’s how I feel about the Googans...
J.Brock I think I’m like 12 trips now without a fish😂😂 big fish have to get hungry eventually and hopefully our baits are there waiting for them!
Nowadays you can get inexpensive kayaks that get you away from the crowds and off the bank. I catch bigger fish out of my kayak than my boat.
Thanks guys, I'm gonna grind it out
I started watching all of you guys videos and it just seems like the best thing ever.
Keep grinding we all know how hard it is to get a good fish in the winter
Big John's Life Thank you man! Grinding is all that I can do at this point!
@@crazybassfisher that's all any of us can do I need to get out and throw some swimbaits this week

crazybassfisher silly tuff to fish - makes me feel like a total amateur again .. striper fishing is good .. but never what I’m after
That fish was missing part of its lip never seen that before 😬
Mike Schultz Yeah, that fish was beautiful all except in the face 🤣
Nothing easy for me out here in AZ brother always a grind Cheers!! :))
gary m You’re telling me Gary, Az has kicked my teeth in this year!
Good Video 👍🏼
I think he means because there are not a lot of people (recreational boaters/fisherman) so he has the place to himself.
If you want a fish over 5 come to SD and I'll put you on some swimbait fish. They will 100% smash that new 250 you have
Thomas LaRochelle HAHAHAHA that's hilarious because you can't even catch a 5lber for yourself bud!
@@Lukebigbass15 look on my Instagram @tom_western_fishing 😂 see how many 5s I've caught lol
I agree that they fish some of the best lakes in the country. I think it would be a different story if they fished the lakes in Arizona
Edward Chun Who knows, one of my buddies have been catching fish lately but it hasn’t been wide open at all, super precise timing is what it seems like right now! I bet Matt could find some bites out here though, dude is super smart!
It would be cool to see how he would approach the lakes out here. It also be cool to see how well you would do at clear lake

That poor bass had a torn up ass lip!!
Over complicating the ish out of fishing one technique at a time, then sending you to the warehouse to buy the gear is top priority as it’s their livelihood. iiwii.
Glide baits all the way!
Samson Adepoju The glide bait bite is insane and super addicting!
I see it both ways of course, he’s a god at what he does so the title made it misleading with the video not explaining much haha
crazybassfisher yes exactly, if you put a title and say your gonna prove it, prove it😂thx for the reply
That video went right over your head
Non so se hai notato come hai massacrato la bocca di questo povero pesce.magari visto che in barca ce l'hai il guadino.USALO!!!!!!!!
Yeeewwwwww
Winter fishing is easy not winter catching
DeForest Hall Hahaha the classic “fishing is different than catching” quote!
NOT EASY
The saltiest video I have ever seen coming from an established RUclipsr. It was all about being confident throwing the big bait and for people to stop over thinking it and just go out and fish. He’s preached for years about people over complicating it. He sticks fish all over the country. Giants all over the country at that. Being salty is not the answer. Watch more of their content, you might learn something.
Tyler Love exactly.
I’ve watched Tactical bassin videos for years now.
cant hate on the vets that been fishing longer than you been alive my boy...fall back...show respect....
He's not hating at all, hes just explaining how disagrees with the title TacticalBassin used
I don’t believe that I was “hating” on Matt at all in this video. I ended up saying that the video was good and that Matt is a stick. Exactly what Owen said, just explaining the title to video aspect, that’s all
crazybassfisher atleast Matt Allen doesn’t scream when he catches a swimbait fish...😂😂😂
crazybassfisher stop you were throwing shade plain and simple don’t try to back pedal.. so your rant was just on the title ?! 😂🤦🏿♂️
Matt Allen is a fool for that video loo
Omg 😂
caleb oliva Matt isn’t a fool or anything like that, the title served it’s purpose to grab people’s attention and the video made them stick around to watch. Super entertaining video just not a lot of explaining like I’m use to from a tactical bassin video
First!
Martin The Fisherman Yewww!!!
Bounce the fish more gently,, u aint no badass for doin that lame
Moe Szyslak The intent is to never bounce them so hard, she just was able to come off midway and hit pretty hard, normally if they stay pinned, I’m able to bounce them softer.
