Key3 features 5.5" AMOLED Display Excellent Multi camera with OIS Physical Keyboard 90Hz screen refresh rate Chrome/silver accent between keyboard Metal body (silver edition) 5000 mah battery Translucent black phone back cover 30w fast charging plug 3.5mm headphone jack Conveniance key
Cogent, concise, yet entertaining. my one comment / bit that I'd have added, in my mind, the most important - touchscreen typing requires three trains of thought - (I) what you're trying to say; (ii) watching to ensure your thumbs are hitting the 'right spot, and (iii) watching to make sure auto correct doesn't garble your message. With a PKB, you're touch typing, as you said yourself, you can do it with your eyes closed, which means there's only ONE train of thought - what you're saying. I've always felt that this is the most compelling reason, as I'm typing this while looking, well, at the scenery.
so many great features on the KEY2 but if you are talking just about keyboards, I set my Currency Key to be the CTRL key so now I have the ability to Copy and Paste as I do on my laptop keyboard. what a time saver that is and no more long hold on the screen which takes you out of the typing rhythm.
This is what is so good about the keyboard on my KEY2 that IT is so much more than a physical keyboard.. It is a complete interaction with the device on so many functions besides perfect typing. 'Love it!
Not just 1, but 2 and even 3 fingers simultaneously swiping back on the physical keyboard will delete just as many words per swipe back as fingers being used! Very cool feature for deleting multiple words with one efficient swipe; a multi-touch feature that I even had on my Priv! Also, I really like the swipe down feature to bring up characters and numbers. I wish these features were were, well, featured more often in advertisements to really show how amazing a modern BlackBerry keyboard really is!
That is the argument I have always used when I debate people online about the physical keyboards on BlackBerry phones. If typing on glass was all that, then why are we still using physical keyboards on laptops and desktops? That usually puts a hush on them right there! 😂😂😂😂
It's because the tasks people perform on laptops and desktops require a full sized physical keyboard and the tasks that people do on their phones don't. If you guys are going to play that card then why not compare a qwerty vs a full sized pkb? Who's going to write their entire thesis on their phone? Which executive is going to use their phone to do their work at their desk? The stuff people do on their phones don't require a pkb qwerty - that's pretty much why a blackberry pkb device is a fringe item. It's not even niche b/c it doesn't exist anymore.
Nice video. I normally think I am a vkb person mainly because the BlackBerry vkb is so good. But for me a pkb's main advantage is productivity... jumping from one App to another carrying information with me or viewing related information/research results as I write. My emails usually involve such reference or input. My emails require thought not speed.
I think BlackBerry together with its handset manufacturer _(whoever will that be)_ should exclusively contract with governments around the world---provide devices and support. BlackBerry should supply the governments and make the brand well-known again by being the most secure handset brand. By exclusive, I mean ordinary citizens/civilians will not be able to purchase one of their handsets. BlackBerry though should make it affordable for most governments to be able to really sell it. Trust me, it will work and BlackBerry will get back on its feet if they do this. Who's with me?
I had a Key2 for a week and I LOVED the keyboard, but at the end of the day it had some performance issue that I could not get past for a phone that costs nearly $700 (after including tax) If they make a Key3 (or even better a Priv2) I will definitely look at it again.
Nice summary of a physical keyboard in general. This is what most of the reviews were missing. Especially the comparison with laptops and the people who are using auto-correct and relying to it instead of typing whats in their head. I like the example of the "accidentally liking an inappropriate picture you shouldn't be liking" :-D
.... Nice Video, Kevin ! Nice résumé ! Also, with a physical keyboard, you can write hours, literally, without stopping, without being annoyed, cause you need a lot less concentration on screen, so your eyes ain't so tired than they could be on a virtual keyboard.
I really like the video...I hope you to reach a 100k soon..I really appreciate your videos... You are having nearly 3000 videos....hope you reach a milestone...you have good quality..👍👍☺️☺️☺️
A smartphone with a smartkeyboard ^^ Im still using my BBOS10 devices, all with a keyboard. Never used a Smartphone with touch only. Next phone will be maybe a key2. If they haven't released another great thing for me. Currently the Android system is keeping me away from it. But I will get one in the future, if I have to. And yea, the Autocorrect thing is true. A friend of mine has autocorrect stepping in time-by-time with ridiculous corrections ^^ I always tell her than the nice positive things about a real Blackberry Hardware keyboard ^^
Thomas Martin hi when you write an email and you swipe down does it show numbers or you have to press sym to show the numbers? On the BlackBerry PRIV swipe down give the fonction of "Sym" it's really cool features on the PRIV but on my keyone nothing happens when i swipe down... What about the Key2?
It does! I didn't even know! I have to do it twice sometimes, so I must be doing it off just a tad, but it does do it often when I swipe down once. But it has the sym key also which is what I was getting used to using. Gosh there is so much on this one to learn. What I like is the keyboard tactile feel is great compared to the Priv. I didn't use the physical keyboard a lot on the PRIV because I just ran into the bottom of the display too much and it felt crammed compared to my fat fingers. But the Key2 is really done well. I love the 52 shortcuts. 26 long press and 26 short press short cuts. I've been showing my kids and they think its pretty cool too. It is a very snappy responsive device, far more than my PRIV or Motion ever was. And I thought the Motion was good. But when I got the chance to get a keyboard again, I'm hooked again! And the display is gorgeous compared to the Motion!!
Thomas Martin oh so it does ? My keyone doesn't! My PRIV yes but not my keyone... So the key 2 has the same features than the PRIV and the PassPort! Cool!
기현 Arikadou it is pretty good, even in low light it's better than the Motion. The 2 camera is nice, but I can figure out how to switch them anymore. It's weird.
Kevin, that's my first day with Key2 and I love it! BUT!!! The keyboard don't swipe at all. I swipe my fingers and, it doesn't get any reaction, not even from side to side among the main screens. Any suggestion?

I really like Blackberry smartphones, But unfortunately in Brazil it is not sold by retailers!
"But if you grew up on touch screens, to pick up a physical keyboard probably feels alien and not necessarily compelling because you're working harder and it can be a little louder" -"CrackBerry" Kevin 2021
As far as phones go, I'm indifferent to the debate between physical keyboards and on screen keyboards. For me, one isn't inherently better than the other, just different.
I can use force touch on vkb then turn the whole keyboard into a trackpad in my iphone, and in android using gboard u can simply swipe on the space button to move the cursor (it works like trackpad), in gboard you can also swipe from the backspace button to the left to delete 1 word, or you can swipe even longer to the left to delete more words at once. On pkb, how do you type japanese or the other language that doesn't use alphabet?
Can you tell me how the hub integration is? I'm BB Z30 user now I'm using Samsung note 5 and I installed hub in it and I'm completely not satisfied. Whether it will be same in BlackBerry android phones also or not. Please tell me as I'm planning to buy a BlackBerry evolve X android phone.
Important question : why gesture swipe down on blackberry keyone and key 2 don't show the numbers like the BlackBerry PRIV do and the BlackBerry Passport do! ???
Why swipe gesture is not there like it is on iOS iphone and one plus one Android and Android Pie Google pixel and bb10 os! Swipe gesture could be a killer feature!
I love my razer chrome keyboard. And, chat on Whatsapp with it on my computer. Kinda make sense why you want a keyboard on a phone. Didn't think about that. lol :p
I have key2 it's nice but a little too big for one hand use. Time ago i haved many phisical qwerty phones like Nokia E61, E71, E6 and Samsung B7510. Just tap and feel butons.
I can't help thinking that you were clutching at straws with these reasons. And it's an age thing. Once all of us "old" people die, so will the physical keyboard on smart phones.
That physical keyboard makes your phone more unique among that sea of touchscreens. Definitely my next phone :)
Smart man!

I love my key2 it reminded me why i loved them so much before! I am so happy to see the rise of the pheonix on this one
Totally agree. I had the Priv and enjoyed typing with the physical keyboard.
I have a surface pro and don't like it without the keyboard
Keyboards are just so much easier when you commit to them.
Well, I am going to power my BlackBerry Up. Goodbye P20. I miss and love my BlackBerry
The people just don't understand what's means Blackberry! And some don't know how to use it and some are not organized!
This is what is so good about the keyboard on my KEY2 that IT is so much more than a physical keyboard.. It is a complete interaction with the device on so many functions besides perfect typing. 'Love it!

Just got my key2. I feel unique

Precision is important and KEY2 delivers! Glad you get the key time and place(s) where PKBs really shine.

It was a good time when we're still able typing the 4x3 keyboards with eyes closed on our Nokias.

Nice vid. Enjoyed the focus on the keyboard and why so many of us enjoy it.
4:51 That’s actually a really good argument
Hey Kevin, where did you get your ring holder for the KEYTWO?
Hope, they will revive BlackBerry Blend.
physical keyboards make typing a lot slower on a smart phone. But keyboard shortcuts... That's something I'm not sure I will ever be able to give up
.... Nice Video, Kevin !
Nice résumé ! Also, with a physical keyboard, you can write hours, literally, without stopping, without being annoyed, cause you need a lot less concentration on screen, so your eyes ain't so tired than they could be on a virtual keyboard.
Now you have me wishing for a #Key3Max
I have had most of those past Blackberry's Kevin swooshed across the table, lol. I am ready Key 2. Hurry up ATT.
I really like the video...I hope you to reach a 100k soon..I really appreciate your videos... You are having nearly 3000 videos....hope you reach a milestone...you have good quality..👍👍☺️☺️☺️
Dude, I’m on the fence. Between a Key2 and iphone
Which would you say is honestly the most secure?
A smartphone with a smartkeyboard ^^

This is a great video and I absolutely have no idea why it has so many dislikes. Great video Kevin. I'm a Crackberry head always !
My Key2 is AWESOME!

Youre right Kevin. Im fast in typing keyboard. But it makes me slow when going back to each words to correct it.
Thanks for sharing your experience!!!

Was that a swipe up failure on the pkb Kevin
I believe keyboard shortcuts make you uber-productive! Speed is the KEY to success 😉
loving it Bro Stay blessed ❤
I like it..great tour and explanation of the key2 keyboard!

I got mine 128GB/6GB DualSIM today and I am getting down my bandwidth for video about lol
I have problem on my BlackBerry Passport. I can't connect install canon camera connect application on my passport. Please help me out
Great video!
my keyboard swipe doesn't work when i try to swipe or touch my keyboard nothing happens
is that in setting option?
old keyboards are always superior. not even the laptop ones, i mean those real, trusty, clicky computer ones
I'm waiting for the Motion 2.
funny how youtube tries to "recommend" mr jobs 2007 speech about how keyboards suck and welcome to the iphone 1
I love my razer chrome keyboard. And, chat on Whatsapp with it on my computer. Kinda make sense why you want a keyboard on a phone. Didn't think about that. lol :p
Auto correct does not have anything to do with a physical keyboard.
Why google pixel has gesture option and one plus one also and not keyone 2 like bb10 os and iphonex os?
Swipe gesture
Great video! I love my KEYone keyboard.
Should be PKB is handsome.
KEY 2 SUCCESS!
we need key2 cases video
Tarek Torbey your wish is my command Tarek!
lol this phone went nowhere
Its also good for health at somehow
blackberry is the reason why you don't have a lot of followers lol
Just send me one of it i il say u
I have key2 it's nice but a little too big for one hand use. Time ago i haved many phisical qwerty phones like Nokia E61, E71, E6 and Samsung B7510. Just tap and feel butons.
I can't help thinking that you were clutching at straws with these reasons. And it's an age thing. Once all of us "old" people die, so will the physical keyboard on smart phones.
.... and in 2022 BlackBerry is dead 😂
