  • Live In The Bus is a live session concept in collaboration with Archers Multi Media where different artists are invited into the old Music Crossroads bus to perform their songs acoustically. The sessions are captured with microphones and cameras, and then released on TV i Malawi.
This second session features KBG, LILY, Jaco Jana and West Cole.
    About the performances:
    1. KBG - "Malonje" / "Greetings"
KBG is one of Malawi's most interesting rappers and central figures in the urban music scene. Being the founder of the production house Nyali Muzik and co-founding the newly established 1Five Entertainment, he demonstrates his importance in the music industry of Malawi.
"Malonje" is a song that he uses to introduce himself to the audience, telling them who he is and what he believes in. Hospitality is a central trait of the Malawian culture, and he deems it properly to start off with an introduction. In the ending he improvised a medley with his previously released hit "From Malawi" which you should check out: • From Malawi Offical Mu...
    2. LILY - "Shampoo Your Locks"
LILY is an emerging artist as well as a frequently seen profile in the music industry of Malawi, known for being a great MC at festivals and concerts. We are happy to have her perform one of her own songs in the bus!
This song is a fun little tune with a touch of African pride. Natural hair styles and natural, African hair should be celebrated! She ends off with a small sample from her debut album which will be released soon!
    3. Jaco Jana - "Maybe Tomorrow"
Jaco Jana is an established artist in Malawi, known for his guitar playing. His music tackles the struggles of everyday people and how they keep on waiting for a better day. He says his music talks about the issues of life - it is the music of the world.
    In Jana's own words:
"What will happen tomorrow? I don't know.
I hope something good will happen"
    4. West Cole - "Malawi Wa Lero" / "Malawi Today"
West Cole (also known by his name Thoko) is a quiet and talented instrumentalist who is also the guitarist of Mbanaye. All though starting out as a drummer, he discovered that he also has a talent for playing guitar, singing and writing songs. He has a unique guitar signature and a keen eye for creative details, which makes him stand out from the crowd. We are happy to announce that we will be producing his debut EP!
"Malawi Wa Lero" talks about people who doesn't appreciate other people's success. No matter how good you are doing and how much you try to please people, there will still be people who will be jealous in Malawi today.
