They decided to trade Bridges and Fleece New York out of all their picks and then say rockets are desperate so let's now Fleece them and get our picks back. What the rockets have done is no different than a guy chasing a woman for a year and she's constantly telling him no,no,no,no. You can't tell me Brooklyn can't just trade Bridges to NewYork. Brooklyn didn't need the rockets. Brooklyn already knew rockets were desperate. Rockets were chasing them. Not the other way around. Ime Udoka wants Durant. That's why they wanted the suns picks. Literally begging Brooklyn to take their picks back. Ime wants Durant. That's a whole other problem in itself.

If the rockets make a deep run in the playoffs, we don't have to worry about this trade. Suns already said that they're not traded Kevin Durant but that might change next year. So this is just something we have to worry about.... At least for this season

If the rockets trade Sengun for Kevin Durant I’m going to be super pissed there no way you trade a young all star level big for an aging superstar in Kevin Durant.
Now if it’s Devin Booker I would be fine with it he still in his prime and he fits the timeline and he a number one option and he a top 20 player. Thats the player I would trade for.
No to KD and if Booker gets fed up and wants out I’ll would be all over that that’s my thoughts on it

I feel like these these types of moves without actual people moving are kind of hard to quantify winners and losers, but I think betting on the suns as they're built to be bad in a few years is a great bet. New owner that's already pinching pennies, they got swept last year and are getting older, already capped out by beal and his no trade clause, they're definitely a great long term bet in 28 and 29. We really just don't need another young guy this upcoming year or the next, I like betting on the cast of guys we have and loading up the war chest for a few years down the line if the development isn't there

What does these three teams have in common. Boston, Denver, Okc. Two of these teams won by drafting a developing their own players and one traded for a young player with the potential to be a Superstar in Okc. Two roads rockets can go. Same way as these other three or continue with the old mindset of chasing a Superstar platform another team. Recent results tells us what works. We're about to find out if the Rockets have been paying attention or not!

Mikal was rumored to want out and demand a trade.
Nets had no leverage and we gave up the best draft capital 2025 and we got nothing for the best draft in the coming years 2025 and 2026.
They should have asked for one more pick just for how valuable 2025 is or get something for 2026
    Bad move imo.

On paper, the pick trade looks good, but in reality it is not good. While it is noice to push those picks down the road when the Suns should be down. But even prior to the Bridges trade, the Nets were going to be a top ten pick next year with a good chance of moving up as I project them to be around 6-8 range.
As it stands, it is not a good deal to pursue Durant. He is in the last years of a spectacular career. Even if the Rockets obtained him, their core is not ready to contend. They are still three years away. None of their young core has even been in the playoffs. Now I could see trading Green, #3, and the Suns future picks/swaps for Booker, but the Suns are not doing that.
The Rockets need to not fall into the trap of trading for aging stars at the expense of their development, is not good. As for the Bridges trade, I really don't think Bridges moves the needle all that much. At least not enough to catch the Celtics.
I really believe a trade is in place with the Blazers if Clingan is available at #3. Rockets take #7 and #14 grab a backup pg and back up center.

Don't know how people missed Tillman Fertita himself come out about a month ago while talking about the new practice facility saying how I'm Udoka told him he didn't need anymore young players. The young players he has was enough. There's a reason why Okc future is very bright and the rockets will end up doing the same thing over again. Constantly chasing this pipe dream of trading for a Superstar only to fail again. Get rid of your young talent for old washed up players. Old saying is you keep beating your head against the wall and still don't get it. So you do it over and over and over.
