I could see how humanity would not accept Talbain as much as Felicia. Wolves aren't usually accepted as welcome visitors in a home, but a housecat can easily walk among people. Felicia in her true form would be considered a normal housecat. But Talbain in his true form as a werewolf would not be as easily accepted.
Jon talbain is one of the best characters of all videogames,
I can't believe I never notice as a child that Gallon was just Bruce Lee wolf.
It's kind of a shame that Jon Talbain doesn't appear in more Capcom crossover games. I would've loved to see him in Tatsunoko vs Capcom or Marvel vs Capcom 3. Just imagine the dialogue and win quotes he'd have. XD
Why is he my favorite character in this series? Three words: Bruce Lee werewolf.
Jon Talbain is one of the most underrated characters Capcom has created. His play style is so fast, and fun that he would fit in well in Marvel vs Capcom. But for some fucked up reason, Anakaris and Hisen-Ko are in the MVC games and they move like molasses.
So true one of the main reasons ppl even bought Capcom fighting evolution was because Jedah was in it. The don't understand favorite characters sell games.
Its a sin that more people dont know about this character

Jon Talbain is my all time favorite video game character and I wish we got more of him.
A werewolf who can throw flames is not something you can see in another media.

somehow, I can just imagine Robby Benson voicing Talbain (if you need to know who he is, he's the Beast. Not the Marvel Beast, the Disney Beast)
Remarkable Character study to you sir. But I Honestly think there's an Extra layer to Jon Talbain(Gallon) that could be explored in the series if it continues. While both games (in story) focus on his Curse and his inner Darkness, *the Beast* as he calls it. They Explore his need to balance his human traits with his true nature. This form of duality is expressed between Himself, his Interactions with Felicia, and the shared if opposite views that both have about in relations toward Human nature vs them.
Yin and Yang, Good and Evil. But What of the Grey area? This is the Extra Layer.
I believe Jon Talbain has another chapter to add to his story that the creators could exploit. This "Extra layer" is him delving deeper into finding Harmony with his two halves, only to slowly grow mad as he struggles to Tame the Choas within him.
His ending Darkstalkers 3 has him conflicted about Going back to the chilren he cares for...or Staying as the Creature he was meant to be. Reflecting his Choatic Dual nature.
If Capcom ever gets back to Darkstalkers. Perpahs we'll see where Jon has been all these years. Maybe...there's a Darker trutth hidden within that his Father never revealed to him.

For some reason, all I heard was Jon Talbain. Over and again. It's the weird name. Jon Tabain.
Jedah, please. The BEST laugh in all of gaming. The guy is so evil he cuts his own head off to beat you. I mean, that's badass, man.
I'm surprised nobody got the reference/idea of TF2 that Nostalgic Gamer is using (such as the "Meet The" titles and the "Zoom out from the character of the video to the whole cast" thing that he uses at the end of each video).
Nonetheless, loving this series, keep up the good work.

Jon Talbin in my opinion was an interesting character and some of his moves were similar to Adon and other kick boxing characters.

I think that he has the potential to become one of Capcom´s most know, I thnk that he even ranked top on the character poll in the USA, even being number one dare I say.

The DarkStalkers IV version is actually a remix to the version made by GenesisKeys.
And the name of the title is "CPS3 Originals - Gallon's/Jon Talbain's Theme".
That should already give you a clue that it's SF3

He's been my favorite video game character since I was a little kid. I used to love playing Darkstalkers in arcades, or anywhere it was available. Thanks for making this awesome video!
Capcom should got jon talbain more respect. Out of all the darkstalkers he's still the most popular character around. Hope the next capcom vs marvel game will have him.
This series is the absolute best. I loved darkstalkers since I was a kid and I just found your series Monday. I have been binge watching everything! You do such a wonderful job bringing back the nostalgia! All the info on the characters is perfect I have learned so much and I thought I knew it all. Thank you so much for this it has rekindled the darkstalker in me !

..a fun but wasteful thing with Jon in DS3 is activating his wolf pack, dark power, into an ES nunchaku flail. Most wasteful of what I would call an auto combo.
If Capcom wanted to put a Darkstalkers representative into Smash as future DLC and if ever to promote a future Darkstalkers game, Jon Talbain would fill that slot perfectly. I’m not saying as a fan favorite or because he’s an animal or an anthropomorphic character. But the dream battles Jon can fit perfectly into Smash with the other fighters who have appeared as DLC. Ryu vs Jon is the Street Fighter X Darkstalkers fight everyone wanted to see. And Gallon translates to Hungry Wolf, there happens to be a Terry Bogard who’s title is The Legendary Hungry Wolf.
My favorite Darkstalker, love playing as him and Bulleta the most in the Vampire Savior games. Dude is badass.
You know between Donavan and Jon that makes two western characters who turn to eastern mysticism to control their darker nature... It's almost like a theme.

As much as I liked the art style of the anime, I hated how the English dub didn't give Jon an English accent. All in all, I am a huge fan of Jon Talbain. I have been since the 90's. He is a dope character and he needs to make a comeback in a modern fighting game.
To think that Bruce Lee was born the same year of The Wolfman's production.

I really don't understand why Japan fan hate him but the rest of world love him. He's greatest i all darkstalkers games. But never the others capcom mix games like ( marvel vs capcom 1 to 3, Snk vs capcom 1 to 2, and the others).

when i was little i loved wolf and werewolfs cause of sonic unleashed....and now years passed and i still play that game and when i saw Jon talbain (from a random video) where somesaid "and get this...this werewolf uses nunchucks.... nunchucks for a werewolf" and them i saw this video and thats how i loved this character and he is my favorite character to play as in darkstalkers but it sucks that hes not in any capcom crossovers.....(i just want the dlc costume for ameterasu in umvc3)

I don't think the Udon comics show Jon's canon attitude towards humans and let's not forget the Udon comics suggest a weaken and exhausted Chun-Li is capable of KO'ing a full-power not exhausted Morrigan in one shot. As the Night Warriors anime OVA, and if the games implications are right show that he actually is willing to trust and work with humans while yes cautious which is understandable given that he has been wrongfully persecuted by racist humans multiple times but he doesn't hate them in fact when he beats BB. Hood in Vampire Savior according to the canon he lets her live and then tells her the reason he lets her live is because she is human and that even a psychopathic racist human like her deserves a chance to live and earn redemption. There's a reason why according to the canon of the MVC games excluding Infinite both Felicia and Morrigan suggested Jon would make an excellent member of the X-Men.
Keep them coming, this are awesome, I hope they do all of them (or at least all of the female characters).

Easiest character to beat the games with. His moves are very similar to Ryu and Ken's.
Rikou is my favorite character then Jon Talbain is next I always thought of these two as the Ryu and Ken of this series.
