I saw these guys maybe ten years ago in Denver, Colorado. As far as I can tell, they've remained in Ireland ever since. The Denver concert had a capacity of maybe one hundred. So it was small and intimate and absolutely wonderful. Seeing that they continue to tour only in Ireland I would imagine that the majority of their concerts are like that. What a wonderful life to have chosen; fame and fortune be damned, have some fun and play your damn hearts out.
How are this band not more well known? If you say "Bell X1" to a lot of people they will look at you funny and wont know what you mean. Yet they would all drone on about the stones or oasis or whoever. Nothing wrong with liking those bands but you need some creative, original and interesting acts upstream for the likes of those to exist at all. No disrespect, just my opinion but Bell X1 have so many great songs, so well played and so much life in every song. So much emotion in many of them too. I know people often say this about artists and my opinion doesn't really matter, but I am truly bemused at how good their songs and the delivery are, yet they are relatively known. Love them.
