I started selling online few months ago, never imagined how fun it can be, my biggest problem nowadays is not finding space to accommodate the things I buy :D

Hi Mike, 64 yr. old reseller here and I look forward to all the content you put out on your channel regularly. For me it provides an opportunity to learn something new as well as a few chuckles along the way. On the subject of laziness, it’s always been a pet peeve of mine. I try not to let it bother me in general, but sometimes coming from both the buyer and seller side I just can’t help but think……………Wow really??Oh well, got that off my chest. Thank you again from a big fan just north of Chico, CA.

Nice sales- good quantity AND quality. Everyone asks the same question: why doesn’t my stuff sell? Well, you have it answered, sell things people want to buy.

The Easton Press and Franklin Mint books were usually subscriptions and the books in a series were sent in a certain order. Moby Dick was the first in that series so its more common and not that valuable. People would cancel mid-subscription, so the later titles are more scarce and valuable.

Thanks for the comment and the knowledge. Didn't know about the first book being Moby Dick.

Bibles were one of my 1st great flips. Bought a NIB one at a yardsale for .50, sold it for $50. Sweet sale.
I also remember the 1st Easton Press found and that sweet revelation of how much they go for. Gotta love it!

That was a cool record player. I'm betting it is going to NC :) My dad used to have the huge Zenith TV in big console, record player on one side and radio on the other. We thought we were rich to have that huge old cabinet Tube TV. Great sales! Enjoy the video(s).

You pretty much summed up quantum mechanics! It’s all Greek to me. 😂 I was pretty good in math until I got to university and took calculus from an evil-intentioned professor who insisted on using physics applications to mess with his pre-med students because he hated pre-med students and knew that not passing calculus would screw with their standing. I’d never taken Physics before and was hopelessly lost from the get go. Dropped the class as soon as I could.

Yeap, I knew it was time to move on. You either have it for higher math or you don't.

Loved math in school. I took Chaos theory in 12th grade. Yes, my math teacher pushed the envelope in his class.

Hello. I recently discovered your channel and it’s been very helpful. I know your title says “Ebay” but you also sell books on Amazon. How do you choose which platform to sell what books on? I just started your Amazon playlist so it may be in there.
I’m in Aptos and the thrifting has gotten very expensive in Santa Cruz County. I don’t bother with Goodwill here anymore for buying or donating. I have sporadically been doing EBay to sell generations of stuff from our family homestead and considering branching out more. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

Generally older books go on Ebay. Book sets on eBay. Blocked books that I can't sell on Amazon. That's a general.

How often do you hit up library sales? I actually went to one in your neck of the woods last month (SJPL Vineland) when I was visiting my parents in south SJ and found a couple interesting things (nothing insane). I have found Easton Press at library sales here in the Seattle area. Generally pretty low prices but some healthy competition of course.

I don't do library sales. I did early on but, found them to be a bit tricky. I might give them a shot in NC. We will see.

I feel for you, odds are 50/50 that rangefinder guy is going to be a big headache. Someone that obsessed with delivery/tracking is usually a total loon. Might return if a day after eBay promised delivery, or demand a partial refund if a day late etc. (Been there, had it happen).

When you buy the book bins do you sort them out where you buy them and take the good ones home or do you take the whole bin home and sort it out later

    • @goldenstatepicker
      @goldenstatepicker  7 дней назад

Sort them there and keep the good ones and leave the duds. Check my video play list for FBA playlist and there are a few book bin videos.

  • @jochildress5003

Fact is, until it’s shipped, no one can estimate the delivery day until tracking starts. That’s what I tell my customers. “I’m packing it now. It will be shipped within a business day of the label printing. eBay will send you notice when that happens, and they will send you the tracking information.” The end. Period. No more discussion.
