Hey Odd! It's so hard to find a good shell, you may be better off swapping a facelift to a pre, it's not hard at all to do maybe a weekend project in the free time
@@gavinearls2935 I almost got one the other week but I was literally a day late! :( Had all the Gizfab bits on it already. I've got my eye on the wide arch Nismo kit on eBay for it too. Even a facelift is hard to find.
Plasma is indeed very useful! previously this would of taken me weeks going back and forth between the laser cutters making revisions. and instead it took me a couple hours.
Few tips on the mounts. I'd add a third point higher up for the rear mount since it has a big leverage. And I would also keep both bolt locations the front mount. Other than that very solid work and a great video! I'm really looking forward to the progress you make here!
Interesting conversion just as im about ready to make a decision about my k11 engine , great to see , great work , looking forward to seeing more of this build 👍
Positioned for Best-Fit. For equal shafts the engine would need to go another 13mm into the passengers side chassis leg and that just isn't an option without going tube frame. Obvs with LHD, engine can go further back to make the angle slightly better, But i think i did the best job possible.
Your work is always very good and well thoight out. Regarding the crossmember, could you not just machine some 20mm spacers to space it down the required amount, and retain the oroginal member without cutting?
How did you account for the the angle (tilt) of the engine sitting in the engine bay to how it oringally sat in the civic . oppose to just sitting the engine level on a table and lining it up . probably a noobish question but im curious?
Can I ask why u welded the gearbox mount on the chassis rall ? And never done that with the engine mount one? First time watching ur channel and I'll be watching again n sub to ur channel m8 😊😊
Sure. I'm trying to keeping cutting and welding on this kit to a Minimum. So the kit is easier for customers to install. The timing side engine mount bracket on the Micra was actually well positioned for that particular mount. So required no Cutting or moving of the bracket. The Factory K11 gearbox mount on the chassis leg fouled the gearbox casing and would not allow me to mount the engine higher in the engine bay. So it had to go
Ah no worries I was after one of the crossover deletes you guys made with the built in maf housing and a manifold. Thanks for the reply and love the micro build 👌
This thing is going to be nuts, when's the pre order going live? 😅 On a side note, what kind of gas flow do you need to run those giant BBW cups? That stick out is insane 🤯
It's a cool project but if you have the equipment at home to cut out and weld in brackets , cut and shut some driveshafts together and wire it all in Wouldn't you be able to make your own engine mounts ?
I really miss my pre-facelift K11's. I'd love another but so difficult to find a non-rotten shell.
K-Swapping one of these is going to be awesome.

cant wait for the mounts to come available, I'll be buying a set straight away!
Live on the website now
@@GizFab woah didn't expect them to be available this soon. Will order a set next month at the standard price.
Best video I've seen in ages, that plasma is worth it's weight in gold.
Love the lights

Love this type of content . Great work
More of this type of content coming soon
Amazing workmanship, really enjoyed watching and learning, looking forward to seeing the progress.
Thanks! more progress on the K Swap this week.
Great work Eden. Gonna have to call it the "K1120" ( in homage to the Stanceworks Ferrari/Honda)
K11-20. Hmmm....
Fantastic work
Thanks!
Great little series, cant wait for more

crazy, cant wait for episode 2 ;) good job mate

Niiice. Great work.
Top work definitely be ordering mounts future micra kswap
Very cool. I have a k20 waiting in the back of the shed for this swap😂. I will defo be buying the mount kit....hopefully more k20 stuff?
Subscribed. Love your work.
Thanks!
Now this is what I like to see and I would definitely get one of those kits as I’ve always wondered what a k20 in a micra would be like
You had me at 33 1/2 inches :) excellent video dude wicked work 😎
fantastic work by the way .
Great work Eden! 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video looking forward to series love the details and fab work is on point 👍 will the spicy micra ever go this route 👀
Spicy Micra won't be going this route as it will change the class of the car.
@@GizFab arrr yes of course didn’t think about that!
the Micra is actually going from 1800cc back down to 1500cc for this year@@vwnay
@@GizFab do you have more 1.5s in stock as spares 👀😂 I love that little micra best car to watch it person
Will be a Built 1500cc. JE Pistons, Forged Rods. Balanced and a revised oil pickup system to avoid another issue of oil starvation@@vwnay
Excellent stuff. Really detailed informative video. 😎👍🛠
Genial 👍
savage bit of kit mate, nice one.
gonna be a monster good job gizmo
Oh shit. Look who it is!!!
Will be defo following this and buying a set.
Micra is gonna be a beast!!
They fit Micras pretty well apart from the brake master cylinder 😅 have you positioned the engine for best fit or for equal length drive shafts?

NICE WORK!!!!!!!! Amazing
What are you doing for drive shafts pal ?
Covered in Part 2 when it comes out this week.
@@GizFab can't wait
Hello from Australia im in the process of doing the exact same thing ,was going to go SR20 but Kseries much better option ,more readily available here
Really good video bud!
Thanks!
Your work is always very good and well thoight out. Regarding the crossmember, could you not just machine some 20mm spacers to space it down the required amount, and retain the oroginal member without cutting?
That was my original thought. Spacing the crossmember down. But its more 40mm spacing to clear it without cutting
Amazing good work
A K20 K11, nice!

Typically K20 are 10-15 degrees tilt. We are within that range.
Wow quick response thanks i was just curious. @@GizFab
I have a k11 (from a dead grandparent) I need to do this engine swap to it, but I'm rubbish on the spanners would you do this build for a customer??
The physical swap, i can do no worries. My downfall is the wiring side of things. Not my forte
Nice to see an in depth fabrication video again. More of these please. Will the spicy micra go k20?
Spicy Micra will not go K20...
I want that into a shirt. "DONT GET IN FRONT OF THE FUCKING CAMERA!!" 😂
Come on get it done
could do a relocated master with a pivot to transfer the motion of the petal
Certainly possible. but a bit too much engineering involved and will increase the cost of the kit.
Is this car using original master cylinder or is that clearance with a slightly upgraded one?
This is on an upgraded one from MH. But it remains the same length as the factory cylinder.
@@GizFab would the landrover one be too large?
@@Dylan-yn2do yes

Whats the web site mate where i can get some mounts ?
Gizfab.Com
Do you still make parts for the z20let/leh engines ? Ide like to purchase some of the items you used to sell for them
Only thing we make for them now is the Sump Baffle. Other than that, i moved away from the VXR Market into the Micra Market.
All of the gas flow. Turn that reg right up!
Fuck it's almost time to get a little press brake mate!
Yes Sir! i like the new Langmuir one, small, compact, CNC
“Don’t stand in front of fucking camera” literally stands in front of camera 5 seconds prior
He does it every damn time though.
Micra K31, 11+20 😂😂
aha i was the 420 like lets goo
Well that’s settles it I’m going down the be VW 1.8T route can’t have the same as others
1.8T already been done…
Has it? Maybe they can answer my drive shaft question then 😂
@@CharlieBradfield I'm part way through the swap. Driveshafts will be in my next video, or the one after that.
@cgten excellent hopefully it answers some questions
Customs Shafts for sure.@@CharlieBradfield
theres a compact inlet manifold you can get for mini swaps, i think @TheLateBrakeShow Jonny Smith is using for his Allegro K20, worth looking at
T7 Designs. @Ruskiweldfab has the other Prototype unit on his K24 Clio. This build is most likely going on Jenveys!

Sure. But most people do not. This kit i have developed takes away all the guess work.
