i think its supposed to be a giant ground sloth. sloths are lazy, good swimmers, and eat a lot. that sounds like snorlax. before you say ''why isn't it a fossil pokemon''. well lapras is clearly a plesiosaur but its not a fossil either.

Marix2Rinku well i was really trying to make a counter argument to marco smith's comment. i think most pokemon arent really supposed to be "monsters", more like animals. i actually thought his "test" for inanimate object based pokemon vs animal based pokemon was pretty irrelevant.
I always kind of liked Klefki just BECAUSE of how ridiculous the design is. I mean, the Pokedex entry pretty much solidifies the idea that this is basically just a joke design that some guy at Gamefreak didn't think anyone would take seriously - but they did. And I love them for that.

Common sense guy; So...you hate trash bags, ice cream, and gears...but love eggs with faces, magnets with eyes, blobs, balls, and sludge? Hater: All those are better than Gen 5! Common sense: ...Hypocrite
Yeah! Everyone has their favorite and least favorite gens, but saying that a Gen is bad because of two or three pokémon that you dislike, is like saying that a person is bad just because she has an eye with a color you dislike. Those people are dumb, and completely nostalgia blinded. Btw, my least favorite gen, in regards of pokémon design, is gen 4. But you don't see me hatin the whole gen just because I hate Lickilicky's design '-'
Marco Smith I have to admit. I LOVE ALL Pokémon. There may be some stupid designs, but ALL OF THEM have a charm for me. (remember, that's just my opinion)
And I love almost all pokémon, even the ones with stupid designs. But there are two or three that just... Gah, I can't like them. Lickilicky is one of them '-'
Anyway, I like all Pokémon to be honest. Even when I don't personally like the design I can usually understand the references which are good enough for me because story is the most important thing in a game. And for art the story is the reference. My only issue was with Meditite and Medicham. Before this Gen, they're personally the only ones I'd have deleted if given a chance to delete any one family but I really like Mega Medicham so I can't particularly fault them anymore. Except the individual DERP the Medicham who cost me 2 other Pokémon in my last Pearl Nuzlocke because it decided crashing into a wall to commit suicide would be more fun than hitting the opponent with High Jump Kick. Him specifically I'll hate forever.
I totally agree with you in the Beedril one. All those time and effort I've spent in grinding that Kakuna that only knows the move Harden is SO not worth it.
Klefki is actually really original. Has there been a Key Pokemon? No, so he's orignal. If anything, Fennekin and Zorua are unoriginal, since there has already been a fox Pokemon. Not that they are bad, but my point is that people really don't know what they mean by saying "Unoriginal".
Peter Kolev Says that to the guy who can't even put a period in his sentences. And it's "is". Not "are". It's hard to take an insult seriously when you make simple grammar mistakes.
I can agree with Beedrill. It's a glass cannon, minus the cannon. I never really used either Probopass or Purugly, but I wasn't exactly disappointed by them. If a Pokémon isn't useful in the game, I don't care about the way it looks. That also goes for Beautifly, which I did use it very briefly in R/S. But unlike Butterfree, it didn't really give me a reason to keep it on my team, as it did NOT have the same moveset, learning Grass instead of Psychic moves. And the early game of Gen 3 was nowhere near short of actual Grass-types to use instead. However, I will never be disappointed by a Pokémon just for looking similar to another. As for Klefki though, what people keep saying about it really annoys me. It's ALWAYS: 1. "Its design is lazy and stupid!" Compared to many other Pokémon, yes. Compared to the likes of Digglet, Voltorb and Grimer, no! Klefki is far from the "laziest design ever". 2. "Those keys kill dragons!" *NO!* Just no! Klefki is NOT something you should ever send out to defeat a Dragon-type! Klefki is what competitive players call an "annoyer". Its purpose is not to deal damage, but to hinder the opponent's Pokémon. Its movepool is tailored to *lock* your opponents options, and it does pretty bad at about everything else. Also, Flygon, Garchomp and Mega Charizard X are very popular Dragon-types that can sweep Klefki like nothing. It may be a Fairy-type, but it's still a Steel-type as well. Ground and Fire moves make quick work of it. The one Pokémon I am really disappointed by is Mega Slowbro, by the way. It's the Dan Hibiki of Mega Evolutions.
CONGRATS ON 100,000 SUBS!!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting to say that ever since you had 64,000 subs. I LOVE your channel man. I want to make pokemon walkthroughs on my ipad, any advice?
Your list had me chuckling quite a bit. :) I should mention that Klefki is notorious for something called "SkillKeys," which refers to Klefki using its Prankster ability to paralyze foes with Thunder Wave, confuse them with Swagger, then use Foul Play to deal more damage (since Swagger ups attack by 2).
Have you never played pokemon before? Klefkey with it's prankster ability makes it an amazing, if not the best support. Along with it's typing and move pool, I think it deserves some credit.
I love the fact that I don't see Trubbish or Garbodor on this! Many people say those pokemon suck and are 'uncreative'. BUT NO ONE REMEMBERS KLING, KLANG, AND KLINGKLANG?
Marco Smith only 69 pokemon, which mostly suck ass and are shitty designs, shit storyline, boring, I only played the story once, they focused on the graphics and were lazy about everything else. overall the worst IMO (In My Opinion) 3rd gen was the best imo
Timothy Berry -There were only 69 Pokemon because they had to make models for ALL of the other Pokemon as well. Plus, if they had more, people like you would bitch even more... -Gen 6 had some of the best design, along with the other Gens. (Even though Gen 1 had some of the worst) -Yes, wanting to kill everyone that's not like the evil team is such a terrible story...-_- -They were upgrading everything to actually look good on the 3DS, and the other aspects are still kinda good. -The only "disappointment" is the Exp Share being OP and the post game
I don't think Klefki is dissapointing... in fact you just have to look at Grimer/Muk for a moment... and realize his design is just a deformed mass. The thing is that it's easy to say that the new pokemons are unoriginal... but never look back and see that we already had that kind of designs back at the first season.
Pangoro was the most disappointing Pokemon for me. Everyone swore it was going to be a staple in the competitive OU battle scene, but now it's NU, and I never see anyone using it.
Nah, it's Gen 4 and then Gen 1 being the overall worst games. Gen 4 had the worst music of the bunch (not necessarily bad music, but not fitting for Pokémon games) which after story is the most important thing and Gen 1 had basically no end game content despite having an interesting story and good music. Gen 2 is third best though only barely so. If it weren't for Black 2/White 2 Gen 5 would be the worst. Black and White's only saving grace was the sheer number of new Pokémon to collect. Black and White 2 are what made the Generation something that mattered. It fixed almost everything B/W did wrong. Which was almost everything. So overall it's 6, 5, 2, 3, 1, 4 from best to worst. Though I'm not sure what this has to do with the topic at hand since it's about Pokémon designs not the game design as a whole. **flags op for spam**
GullsAK All gens have bad things about them i would never say ones better maybe i can mention memories with one but for respect of the whole series i love and support all Gens
GullsAK See i really love Sinnoh, I don't understand why people fucking hate it with a fiery passion...then again I started out with it, first Pokemon game and all...(I didn't get into Pokemon until Diamond/Pearl/Platinum)
thunderclanliveson1 nah gen 4 had the best story for me and when i got to Mt. Coronet i was stuck for like 4 hours because i didnt know you could enter from one of the entrances. Oh, btw i liked Cyrus and his ambition the most. the only thing i didnt like is that the pokemon just didnt entertain me much
I feel that Glameow/Purugly is supposed to be one or two puns. 1. A pretty, feminine person who takes pride in her appearance but as it gets older, it just gets lazy and stops trying, thus she gains a massive tons of weight, it generally temperamental to pissed off, and slobby. lol 2. How cats love you when they're little but grow into bigger cats who seem to hate you lol (it's a stereotype of course). Yeah, Purugly is kinda disappointing for an evolution of a genuinely cool looking cat but at the same time, I can't help but laugh at the possible context behind it lol
"BRILLIANT! You reject your own nose because it represents the glitter of commercialism. Why didn't I think of that? Cut, print, check the gate, moving on." - Badass movie my favourite at Christmas me and my siblings can recite every line!
I've recently come to realize that Beedrill isn't as useless in Gen 1 as we all thought. Playing through the downloadable Red Version, I smashed through Erica, Koga, Sabrina, and Agatha with my Beedrill's Twin Needle. I didn't know Poison types were weak to Bug types back in the day. I mean, you can easily beat Erica with Fire or Flying, Koga with Ground types, and Sabrina with fast physical hitters or a Jolteon with Pin Missile, but this is really cool and fun to do if you were/are a Beedrill fan like I am.
"Klefki is unoriginal" - Yes, because basing something off old folklore/religion about fairies is completely unoriginal. Damn you J.R.R Tolkien, creators of Dungeons and Dragons, and the countless books/movies/games inspired by you!
personally, I (unlike many of my friends) thought klefki was a cute concept and showed potential. too bad they didn't give it an evolution. it could've shown promise.
You forgot the key point of Purugly, the condemned cat evolves at LEVEL 38, even after the final evolution of starters and other pokemon like altaria or gardevoir, you just get a slightly bulkier and slightly slower persian (it has lower base stats than all the aforementioned), in fact i like its design (the blue palette of DP is way better than the actual)but it's surprising the hustle to evolve this in game.
Before, I caught a Weedle in HGSS, then it became a Beedrill. I regretted it because it was super duper useless, so I agree with you. Though Purugly is powerful because Mars kept defeating me with it in Pokémon Pearl. I was about to give up when my lvl. 9 Bidoof defeated it. I was like, "YES! And it was level 9!!! LOLZ!!!!!!!"
So, here's something I never really understand: Ice cream pokemon, Garbage pokemon, Key pokemon: Not creative Fox pokemon, Tiger pokemon, Squirrel pokemon: Creative
The "running out of ideas" thing is a very VERY weak argument because even in generation 1 there were stupid pokemon designs. For example: Muk, Grimer, Magnemite, Lickitung (or however tf you spell that), Voltorb and Electrode especially. So the whole running out of ideas thing is dumb, just like a lot of gen one pokemon.
Funny thing is that Klefki isn't even keys... Its the metal thing holding the keys. I fucking hate Klefki because of its super cheap Prankster, Swagger, Foul Play tactic. Its design is okay.
Couldn't agree more about beedrill. Should have had it learn a good coverage move leveling up (such as drill run, which didn't exist when it was introduced, but they should have introduced drill run with beedrill to remedy that). Would have made him cool: a bug type that you can catch early on that learns a ground type move to hit fire and rock types with.
In defense of Klefki, it's inconspicuously dangerous. Oh, you used Swords Dance? Say hello to Foul Play! Oh, you boosted special attack? Well here's a priority light screen! Oh, you want to go fast? How about priority paralyze! Hell, you can even do the first one for them and use Swagger (dat SwagPlay) and then FP. I kinda like Klefki's design too. It's a fairy spirit possessing keys to be mischivous? That's pretty cool! And sometimes a simple design works best.
My friends and I were talking about how klefki was a sorry design for a Pokémon and we thought a pokemon based off a car would have been a better design than that
Luckily, Beedrill got a Mega Evolution.
Now people might look at it more.
Probably.
+Mr. Zappy Gamer honestly mega beedrill is cool looking but it still needs better moves.
mega beedrill is a glass cannon of death.
Special Attacking
Mega Beedrill Sweep
Only at Pimpnite
Probably
but then butterfree got a gigantmax form
Voltorb/Electrode.
"Let's make a pokemon made of a Pokeball!"
"What should it evolve into?"
"Hmm. I know, an UPSIDE DOWN Pokeball!"
BRILLIANT!
BRILLIANT!
Wild murderer appeared
Person sent out Keys
Murderer used stab
It's not very effective
Keys used violent jangle
It's super effective
Murderer fainted
BRILLIANT
more like, "keys used swagger !"
"murderer walked away out of confusion..."
Those are some badass keys!
Um...okey
Fairies defeating dragons? "BRRRILLIANT!!!".
exept charizard
+Peter Kolev Yea but he's also part fire which cancels it out. Charizard will never fall to fairies.
ye
Gabriel Diaz-Fernandez a stone thrown at it? OHKO!
most dragon type pokemon can learn flamethrower so klekfi is terrible in battle
SNORELAX IS A CAT????!?! *Mind flipping blows up*

True. None of the designs really get to me.
UltimaNylocke If I could get a Klefki keyholder that would be so awesome!
cameron seow Yup! You can scare people in real life :P
-Jingle keys angrily- D:
+cameron seow Just look at the KeyMaster in the Kalos Anime. (His Klefki is the head of a collapsible staff) And it's awesome
Klefki is awesome. Jingle jangle.
Ikr! You can key your rival's car.
*Jingling keys* Jingle jangle.
He was pretty lame....until he defended himself and took out half my team. It was a massacre... I had to rethink my team twice.
Yeah.. I had to rethink my team too xD
N Harmonia WHAT
Be honest though...
You can't hate Klefki, you just can't, it's so ridiculous but so loveable at the same time
KLEFKI WILL F*** YOU UP!

How does he look like?
A pokeball.
Just put the white part up and the red one down
Brilliant!

Klefki was the best pokemon I had before I lost my copy of Y.
And I had a super trained Deoxys D so that's saying something.
***** Klefki is nice, it's stats are actually pretty decent (In it's respective tier which I believe belongs to NU or RU)
opaattack dude clean your room or something to find it im not joking i found red version in my room and i never played it
Peter Kolev knife what?
It's the fairy that steals/hides your keys.
I really can't believe he left out trubbish and garbodor..
Well, considering unova is based on nyc, it's makes some sense at least
Yeah I guess lol
*thumbs up*
Yes. Klefki's design is... Somewhat disappointing...

Good one, though. XD
Anjali Vaid Whatever. The idea's still stupid.

"BRILLIANT!" *loses shit laughing*
I know right XD
Klefki.Very original game freak.

Lickilicky is one of them '-'
I personally think Purugly is adorable.
i support that.
Yessss someone agrees with purugly
Him specifically I'll hate forever.
hey at least purugly was more creative than giving a pokemon a gem and calling it "evolved"
why do people hate klefki so much when there are pokemon from first gen that are literally based off rocks, sludge, magnets, eggs, and pokeballs.
Klefki swagger, thunder wave... it's over
Add foul play to the mix.
Very devastating
Don't forget priority Light Screen and Reflect thanks to Prankster.
Klefki is a monster, he has so many possibilities.
Erick Gamino The reason why I choose Sp Attacker pokemons and one Physical Attacker.
Just a little more ABrandonToThePast and you'll have a 100,000 subscribers. I'm so happy. I remember when you only had 20,000. Keep it up.
Klefki was gamefreak mocking genwunners, they said it themselfs ^-^ .
Thinking about Klefki taking down a dragon type just gave me the mental image of jingling keys in front of a Dragonite to distract it... 😂
So, my favorite animal is a cat. And I really like Snorlax. But Snorlax, a cat? My mind is now terminated.
I totally agree with you in the Beedril one. All those time and effort I've spent in grinding that Kakuna that only knows the move Harden is SO not worth it.
3:56 I fell off my chair laughing!
2:23 cracked me up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Klefki is actually really original. Has there been a Key Pokemon? No, so he's orignal. If anything, Fennekin and Zorua are unoriginal, since there has already been a fox Pokemon. Not that they are bad, but my point is that people really don't know what they mean by saying "Unoriginal".
Peter Kolev lol ouch. Apply cold on burning area...
Peter Kolev lol ouch. Apply cold on burning area...
Peter Kolev Says that to the guy who can't even put a period in his sentences. And it's "is". Not "are". It's hard to take an insult seriously when you make simple grammar mistakes.
Peter Kolev...
Apply some dry ice on your burn area
Peter Kolev People who say that, tend to be the people who admit they have crappy grammar.
Klefki is number one? *goes back to dookieshed video*
Bro I swear when u post a video it makes my day , your awesome and keep them coming Brandon 👌
The Klefki to success.
Omg I love the way you talk! "There's a few stinkers" XD I love it!!!
It's ALWAYS:
Pokemon that have disappointing designs are mostly gen 1 /: look at them , some of those designs are boring or God awful!!
Exactly
ilke kunduraci
Don't worry, I like most of the new Pokemon, there's not only Genwunners but also those annoying Gen 3 fanboys.
Your list had me chuckling quite a bit. :)
I should mention that Klefki is notorious for something called "SkillKeys," which refers to Klefki using its Prankster ability to paralyze foes with Thunder Wave, confuse them with Swagger, then use Foul Play to deal more damage (since Swagger ups attack by 2).
How about a Grinch Pokémon? It may be...
BRIIIILLAAAANT!!!!
"Watch out, we have a badass over here." XD IM DYING!!!! LOL
*Hydreigon used Draco Meteor on Klefki*
- Nothing happened.
Some big meteor hurled towards Klefki and that piece of key didn't even got a scratch.
ikr
Have you never played pokemon before? Klefkey with it's prankster ability makes it an amazing, if not the best support. Along with it's typing and move pool, I think it deserves some credit.
Congratulations! Your Klefki evolved into Mewtwo!
That'll make Klefki a real badass.
that would be very onix-pected.....sorry.
BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!! BY 9000!!!!! lol
I so love the humor in your videos!
have u ever wondered that theres never been a pure flying type pokémon.
Tornadus
this 💀🔜👽🔜👾
Teee s. Aeceus is normal type
Hey Brandon, almost at 100k! Keep up the great work!
Sudowoodo is a tree
And it isn't a grass type
its rock
And is Super Effective by water types
it's not a tree its a mimicing rock type pokemon.
No, it's a rock tree! XD
I legit just binging your videos. They are so funny.
gen 5 had the worst lol
No...
cause voltrob is so good
Limited color Palit. So voltob is limited
guess grimer and muk gets a freebie
Iman Winslow
a tar/sewage pokemon is better than a fucking keyring lol
I love the fact that I don't see Trubbish or Garbodor on this! Many people say those pokemon suck and are 'uncreative'.
BUT NO ONE REMEMBERS KLING, KLANG, AND KLINGKLANG?
Ahem.....Dunsparce
Hmm... 3 AQW players in the comments here (including myself). Interesting.
Glad to see your channel has grown so much, your videos are awesome and i love rewatching them! Sorry for subbing so late!
6th gen was the worst imo
How
Marco Smith only 69 pokemon, which mostly suck ass and are shitty designs, shit storyline, boring, I only played the story once, they focused on the graphics and were lazy about everything else. overall the worst IMO (In My Opinion) 3rd gen was the best imo
myevyn yes indeed, just my opinion though
Timothy Berry Something tells me that you where hoping for something new, which X and Y didn't really do
Timothy Berry -There were only 69 Pokemon because they had to make models for ALL of the other Pokemon as well. Plus, if they had more, people like you would bitch even more...
-Gen 6 had some of the best design, along with the other Gens. (Even though Gen 1 had some of the worst)
-Yes, wanting to kill everyone that's not like the evil team is such a terrible story...-_-
-They were upgrading everything to actually look good on the 3DS, and the other aspects are still kinda good.
Nope. You are completely wrong. Klefki is the key to defeat everyone! (At least the bug catchers).
***** I beat it with only a level 80 Metagross .-.
epic.apri.39 Metagross is a pseudo so it isn't that impressive.
Gray Tiamat187 :]
epic.apri.39 Is there a reason that you are happy after I just said that your accomplishment wasn't much of an accomplishment?
Gray Tiamat187 Because I like Metagross :D
I really like Klefki. The prankster ability and the various moves really make it a valuable pokemon!
I agree with this list :D
Pangoro was the most disappointing Pokemon for me. Everyone swore it was going to be a staple in the competitive OU battle scene, but now it's NU, and I never see anyone using it.
My favorite gen was gen 3 or 6 but the worst one's gotta be gen 2
GullsAK my list is almost reverse to urs. But no hate.
1. A pretty, feminine person who takes pride in her appearance but as it gets older, it just gets lazy and stops trying, thus she gains a massive tons of weight, it generally temperamental to pissed off, and slobby. lol
2. How cats love you when they're little but grow into bigger cats who seem to hate you lol (it's a stereotype of course).
Yeah, Purugly is kinda disappointing for an evolution of a genuinely cool looking cat but at the same time, I can't help but laugh at the possible context behind it lol
Try this move set on klefki
Swagger
Foul play
Shock wave
Spikes
This is badass
Mega Arceus BRILLIANT!
+Mega Arceus I bet your playing pokemon showdown right? :D
+Mega Arceus Do you mean Thunder Wave, not Shock Wave?
Yus Miss type
that's what I thought
You lost it for me in laughter when you said at 2:26 :
'Hey girrrl, do you like pizza?'
'Because I wanna pizza dat ass!''
BRILLIANT!
Pizza dat ass? I give you the award for best pickup line ever
Post more top 10s and top 5s. Love your videos, keep up the good work
4:06 That Klefki is in serious EQ danger. Good thing it got up that reflect with it's prankster
....Annnd Klefki has the key to open the gates of Hell....you forgot to mention that...
Nice job getting the 100k subs, man! You got an awesome channel, it's no wonder :]
The evolution for Nosepass reminds me of Nigel from The Wild Thornberrys. lol
"Klefki is unoriginal" - Yes, because basing something off old folklore/religion about fairies is completely unoriginal. Damn you J.R.R Tolkien, creators of Dungeons and Dragons, and the countless books/movies/games inspired by you!
The designers were like BRILLIANT! when they notice their car keys and were like BRILLIANT! When they think of keys destroying dragons.
personally, I (unlike many of my friends) thought klefki was a cute concept and showed potential. too bad they didn't give it an evolution. it could've shown promise.
Laziest design is Klefki, ok but Pokemon like Voltorb, Electrode, Muk, Magneton, Kling, Pineco etc. are just fine!
So, here's something I never really understand:
Ice cream pokemon, Garbage pokemon, Key pokemon: Not creative
Fox pokemon, Tiger pokemon, Squirrel pokemon: Creative
Klefki's mega evolution could be the kingdom key! 😋💡
I love Klefki! Wrecks shop with prankster ability if you use it well :D
The brilliant meme with klefki, i lost it!😂😂😂
Funny thing is that Klefki isn't even keys...
Almost 1m subs!! Conrgats!!
My friends and I were talking about how klefki was a sorry design for a Pokémon and we thought a pokemon based off a car would have been a better design than that
Klefki was in OU, for a period of time. Who knows, it might still be in OU, I haven't played Showdown in a while.
Enjoy this channel so much keep it up :)
This video always makes me laugh when the grinch yells "BRILLANT" and I totally agree with you the key Pokemon is lame.
