Did you factor in the ginormous PSU you need for the RX7900. It's pulling 2x the power. You need 2x the psu (it will cost more in the end), not to mention the electricity bill

I’ll never understand people arguing over gpu’s lol, as somebody who has 4060 paired with i7 12700kf, i’m planning on upgrading to xfx 7900 gre with i7 14700k (because i don’t want to switch out the motherboard just yet, not because i have something against the amd processors). Tough choice. 30 euro price difference now in the netherlands which the efficiency does make it up. So not really a price difference. Also toms hardware and hardware unboxed both come to the conclusion that in 4k the gre is 1 fps faster and with upscaling its 6 fps slower than the 4070s. But i love amd and their adrenaline software. Also i have a ryzen 7700 cpu which makes me want to stick with amd. I want to build a new pc but i have no clue how im going to choose. I think i will just wait untill one of them are on sale.

Nvidia has 88% of the market and the resell value is way to hight. AMD barelly sells cards his market is like 10% let alone used cards. I used to have a 1060 sold 3 years later for half the price then got a 2070 ti sold in a day 3 yers later for half the price. Will be the same with the 4070 super. I got it for 500€ will sell in a day for 300€ so the actual cost for me was 200€. Im actually making a salary as a hobby buying used nvidia 3000 with problems and repairing them myself. They sell instantly.

Amd uses frame interpolation it doesnt generate frame is streches them, causing fake frames and a lot of imput lag since is a very old tech used in TVS 15 years ago. Also they cut in CUDA CORES a lot what makes texture quality and rendering. They arent just lowering the price for being "nice" they just years behind tech.

The 7900GRE is compared to the super cuz they have near RT (but terrible PT performance for the 7900GRE being beaten by the 4070) and similar raster perf (even if the 7900GRE is better) the 4070ti. Price is no near the 7900GRE. So more compared to a 7900XT. The 4070ti super offer near 4080 with OC. But the bit bus and memory really hold back his real performance.

This is benchmarked on certain games that peform better on amd gpus i searched up the benchmarks for cyberpunk rdr2 ark gta5 rocket leauge detroit become human and in every game the rtx 4070 super peformed better in every game except for 2 and those games it was a tie between 4070 super and rx 7900gre the 4070super is cheaper in my country if the rx 7900gre is cheaper buy it because the 4070 super peformed like 5% better so its not worth to pay more for it unless that you are a content creator

This is benchmarked on certain games that peform better on amd gpus i searched up the benchmarks for cyberpunk rdr2 ark gta5 rocket leauge detroit become human and in every game the rtx 4070 super peformed better in every game except for 2 and those games it was a tie between 4070 super and rx 7900gre the 4070super is cheaper in my country if the rx 7900gre is cheaper buy it because the 4070 super peformed like 5% better so its not worth to pay more for it unless that you are a content creator
i have the RX7900GRE way better card than nvidia alternative for much cheaper. You can overclock memory and get close to RX7900XT for cheaper. Rasterized performance is all that matters to me and i can play games at ultra/ max settings 1080p 144Hz.
1080p is not even close to a challenge for 7900gre

In my country amd cards are just as expensive as nvidia cards...and also...i owned a 6600 xt and it had alot of stuttering issues and driver issues....even though i had always used amd from the start...my first ever card was rx 570...but the experience with 6600 xt was so terrible that i never went with amd again...i had spent hard money on a pc so i went with nvidia...and aside the higher temps... it's so fucking good than amd

The thing with AMD cards rn is that they're pulling lots of power just to get ahead in fps. I would gladly pick Nvidia if I had the money. Don't get me wrong, Nvidia's offering isn't any better, too.
The GRE is comparable to the 4070S but is far less efficient and you will have to deal with AMD drivers. At the same price youd be batshite to choose AMD and expect blissful gaming, thats for the few not the many. With Nvidia is plug and play no worries no wtf why isnt my game running nonnsense.
