I guess it is because it's halfway between Lindos and Old Rhodes Town, and the bus services to these areas from Kolympia are pretty good. There seems to be more space for the really big hotels! It is a very chilled out area, not as much nightlife which makes it different to Faliraki etc.
@@xXxLozzi90xXx Well yeah, every place has it perks and minuses. I really enjoyed the atmosphere there, totally different from Rhodos Town or Kiotari. Definitely a place who want relaxing beach vacation and everything is reachable by bus :)
I stayed at the Atlantica Imperial Resort last year, it's a great hotel!

West side. 24km from Rhodes Town and 24 km from Lindos. Near Faliraki and Tsambika
