Same here. As a Malaysian, I too have been anticipating this breakdown for a while now. The immediate knee-jerk reaction would have been to totally oppose it. There's even a petition out there that opposes it. I'm glad that he has addressed this issue to give us all a clearer picture.

The Blackrock issue is heating up here in Malaysia. It is a very unpopular move and it's costing the Anwar government politically. Many are against it coz they don't see the bigger picture. Furthermore, the more he explains, them more people think he's just covering up for Blackrock. It's going to be very tough political journey these next few years

I think it is a rational way of looking at it. The reality is, Muslims dont have an opponent to Blackrock. Until you dont have one, you have to strategically maneuver the influence to make it beneficial for your interests, until you can learn its ways well enough to fund your own Blackrock. China also worked with other countries this way. it didnt impose its structure, but tried to work with them.. Muslims need to get rid of the victim-fear mentality, take some initiative and throughout this transition, they need to learn to work strategically as an underdog, to prevent being a slave.
