it's not something man made that takes us all out. it's nature, doing what nature does... survive.

stoicism allows for you to be aware of hurt, of pain. having said that, you should be aware of emotional trauma - don't back away from it but also don't let it consume you. some people in this life will be bombasted by emotional trauma. some of us get hardened, some of us break down. some of us accept.
hate to say it but IT IS WHAT IT IS is a thing some people learn to know.
