So are those markers still in the same location as the frets? I see people say that it's wrong to have in the same location, and I've never seen an explanation of how it's wrong.
@JonLettsGuitars ok cool I have one im about to modify but I keep seeing people say the markings will be in wrong spots. So I've looked but can't find where or how a bass is supposed to be marked differently for fretless.

Yes they are where the frets would normally be. If you took the frets out of a bass and added lines this is what you’d get.
