    Quick formula I've learnt with my driving experience on gear shifting,
    1) start your car and read your car's idle RPM (lets denote it as N)
    2) Multiply idle RPM by 2 (2*N)
    4) Note down the value.
    3) Upshift the gear whenever RPM reaches the value
    For Eg: Let's take your car's idle RPM is "750". Multiplying by 2 we get "1500" RPM. So upshift the gear Whenever tachometer reaches "1500" RPM. And downshift whenever RPM drops below "1500".
    Definitely you'll get jerk-free shifting, It works for me.
    Note: Above all, you should release the clutch smoothly!!!

      If We drive the Base Variant Old Model Cars there is no Tachometer ,We Have to Feel the Engine Sound then to Change and also Notice the Speed

      @@raamnaath Can you name the car without tachometer? I think most of the people will have car with tachometer, So what you are saying is an exceptional case.

      @@kavithakannan7215 He means "Engine RPM Meter", which is termed as Tachometer. but you are meaning it as Speedometer... For Ex: Maruti Alto doesn't have Tachometer in all its variants...

    • @kavithakannan7215
      @kavithakannan7215 2 года назад +1

      @@sdhanasekar9712 I know very well the difference between speedometer and tachometer. That is why I said it is an exceptional case for cars which do not have tachometer. There are 30 crores car in india and 40 lakhs people have alto, So my theory works for 29.6 crore people.

    Quick formula: 1st gear upto 10 Km/hr speed, 2nd gear upto 20 km/hr, 3rd gear upto 30 Km/hr, 4th gear upto 40 km/hr, 5th gear immediately crossing 40 km/hr.
    Procedure to be followed:
    1. Quickly shift the gear for all gears (2 to 5)
    2. Quickly release the clutch for all gears (2 to 5)
    Note: slow clutch release is only for 1st gear. I am using Swift diesel car (1.3L). By above mentioned (speed - gear shift) formula I feel very smooth gear shift. Not even a minor feel of gear shifting. This may little bit vary depending on your car CC. Once you exactly arrive at the speed - gear shift ratio, stick to it. Try this and pls reply.

      This much of early gear upshifting may lead to lugging to engine in somecases . Also if it's a diesel engine and u upshift before 1.8k -2k rpm there would be carbon buildup in turbo ,intake manifold and exhaust. Once in a while riding at around 3k rpm for sometime might help clear out carbon buildup .
