Could you order this unit with a hook up for a front camera just in case you wanted to install one in the future or would it have to be run at the same time you install the head unit?
Whats the difference between audio 2volt vs 5volt outs? The hdmi is the most stupid feature they could include... is not like Im taking my ps5 or a blu ray player to use it in the car.
If we would want to not install the Sony microphone, and just use the microphone that came with the Tacoma. Will it still work? Or is it a necessary to install the microphone?
We haven't tested this ourselves, but you could likely use a USB splitter behind the head unit to split the existing USB port into two, and connect the HDMI device that way!
Great video! I have a 23 Sport w/o jbl. I assume it'll work with that? Do I need to swap speakers immediately or can I add this and do your Kicker bundle later? What do the phone shortcuts look like on the screen? I use them often on the OEM. Thanks!

The 6000 has only one camera input, so you'd have to add our anytime camera kit to your rig to get front camera functionality: trailgridpro.com/camera-shop/
I bought the Anytime front camera prior to my AX6000 upgrade. With the factory player, you can switch between front and rear camera anytime with the side switch. There’s an extra step when you install the AX6000, you have to select camera on your player, THEN select front camera from the side switch.
These units don't have an internal GPS receiver, but navigation is achieved through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. These will display on the head unit.
@@TrailGridPro The Roku/Firestick requires a USB connection. Can you please tell us which USB location is ideal for this setup? Thank you so much for the informative video!
What is the pre-installed wire that’s connected to the usb-c? When I want to add custom images, I can’t use any available ports. Looking at this for my 2018 tacoma. What stock features does this remove? You mentioned a couple but it looks like an awesome upgrade overall. And it works with the factory amp for the JBL premium?

does it include pre-loaded independent navigation system? i'm really inclined to go with this system. the Toyota OEM head unit on my '16 TRD OR is acting up, like rebooting in the middle of a drive, and not finding addresses. great video, thank you.
Yep, it sure can. To get an Anytime Camera Kit to work as intended with a Maestro Sony bundle you'll need to do the following: Cut a new stripe of 18 - 22 gauge wire about 16 to 18 inches long. Strip the wire back at both ends and attach a t-tap on both sides. Tap one side of the new wire to the "orange" wire from the Anytime Kits override harness. Tap the other side of the new wire to the "purple w/ a white stripe" wire from our Sony bundle harness. This will restore full functionality of your Anytime kit when paired with one of our Maestro Sony bundles.

@@TrailGridPro tech support was very fast in there response and sent very detailed instructions on how to re-flash the Maestro rr to the firmware that I needed. It works great now.
It's possible that the bundle was either built wrong or ordered wrong. For example, the most common scenario when this happens is that someone ordered a JBL amplified kit and as it turns out they do not have a JBL amplified system. So, what happens is they just have a much quieter output because there's actually no amplifier present to amplify the sound.
About that xm radio plug-if you want that option alter but don’t have it now, where does it plug into ? Does the Sony unit have a spot for it or I have to switch it with the white plug.

Part of your installation, you connected a GPS antenna which I'm assuming is for navigation. Does this unit come with a built-in GPS system like the stock premium has? I know I can use Android Auto Maps app but that's useless when you're out in the middle of no-where with no cell service/data. If it dosen't than that would obviously mean I'd have to have a seperate GPS unit on the dash to get that feature. I have my first Taco on order, 2023 TRD Sport Premium Double cab 4x4 long bed.
