- Kelis's fig-and-onion glaze was so good it was tempting to drink it straight out of the bottle-but we settled for slathering it on pork chops instead. The double-Grammy-winning singer is also a professional chef, which makes us all feel really unaccomplished with our own lives. Watch her slice figs, caramelize onions, and grill pork chops while teaching us about her cooking philosophy.

Oh so THAT'S why her milkshake brought all the boys to the yard. It wasn't a euphemism, her milkshakes are just that good.
I did always wonder about that as that song came out while doing my cooking course work in high school. She sounds like a cook, like the women I grew up working with.
I think this is absolutely awesome. She has done her music, moved on within her career and can now do more of what her passions and love are for. Two beautiful kids. A great woman. I have always liked her.
The perfect day would consist of Kelis cooking and singing for me.

Kelis did a great job. The food looked good! Caramelized!# She also looked pretty and explained clearly and kept it real. I would watch her cooking program. I love cast iron pans also. Most people tell you that those pans are in there will. I've told one that sucks. I'm not into waiting on something like that.. can I at least have 1 now.. They say don't worry you'll get them later and laugh as they walk away. There seasoned so well already.

Yeah the rings, nail polish, long nails are kinda nope, but if it's just her cooking for herself that's fine. She's on the money about cooking to taste and using your senses. I find that a lot of people who don't cook much get tied up about recipes and methods and worrying about doing things "right" instead of actually paying attention to what they are doing and using their natural tools. If you don't understand, cook more. Hone your instincts.
