I started doing this a while ago and it's made so much difference. I have really narrow feet and find I have to tie shoes really tight to stop my heel and foot slipping. This style of lacing allows me to pull the laces tight enough to hold the shoes on well without causing pain across the top of my foot (which would normally happen after about 30mins). So good 👌

I've got an addition to that. From a soccer player. First knot you go over and under once, do it a second time. When you tie your bow, pull up two loops as usual, cross around behind and pull through. But don't stop, do it one more time and pull tight. And it unties just like a regular bow knot.

@@rrosomasa the toes push up against the roof of the inner front shoe as the stride lifts up. However, with this tying technique, some of the pressure of the lift is dispersed across the whole of the shoe and especially across the top of the foot and the ankle area, reducing repetitive stress on the toes. Does that make sense?

It's called a lace lock technique. You can tell by the way the bottom of the tongue rolling to the lateral side that the shoe is not correct for that person. The giant medial post is causing her to overpronate. Fix the shoe to keep her foot neutral and she won't have to lacelock the shoe.

I have a spine disease. So I've broke SO MANY bones, including my ankles. So as soon as I begin to run my ankles sprain. I never knew this. At all. Thank you!

Try power waking and adding a weighted vest for more challenge instead of running for more challenge and less chances of sprains and breaks. You can also slow down and focus more on your feet when you walk and your posture.
