"At a time where the goodness of people may be a bit rattled, know that the people you see here are good people. Know that empathy still does exist." Thanks, Ko. I so needed to hear this.
The minute that Ted wiped that gentleman's face. It was such an honest, sincere moment. Wow so powerful. Awesome job capturing the emotion behind the finish 😢
Dang it Ko, I’m crying. But at least they’re tears of joy and empathy and not like last week. 🥹 Grateful for all the good people in the world. Great video. 🥹❤️🌈
Thank you for this beautiful presentation of the spirit of the NYC marathon. I’m 77, grateful to still be running and have competed in the NYC marathon 4 times, last was to celebrate my 65 birthday running with my son. I started running at 14 yrs old and was then considered somewhat of a weirdo when I trained in Prospect park but it’s now great to see how popular a sport running has become.
I waited all day to watch this runners weekend video. They are my favorite, but your message at the end was so wonderful and so needed right now. I am grateful to be part of the running community and thankful to you for bringing us together through your work! ❤
These videos will never not stop me in my tracks to watch them. I can't thank you enough for always working so hard to produce this content Mike. We're all better for it.
Great video and thanks for including Ted which is the highlight for me. So many others say “Thanks to the volunteers”. You took the time to focus on their service
Thank you for capturing such wonderful moments of the NY marathon weekend. I made it into the clip during the Runna shakeout! Yay. But you made me tear up at the last part with the pouch of wet wipes. Just so wonderful to know that. Thanks Mike.
What an amazing end for an incredible video! Thanks for sharing this with us!! I was there, and everything was so great and incredible!! NYC MARATHON is the best, ever!!!
Love the video Ko! Thank you so much! Love this quote from you! "Know that the people you see here are good people, Know that Empathy still does exist!" I enjoyed the race, enjoyed the crowd, enjoyed crossing the finish line but watching the final finishers, seeing so many people showed up for them, kept celebrating & cheering the runners, that brought me so much joy!! Thank you NYC, thank you Ted, and thank you Kofuzi! Now I understand why people kept telling me NYC marathon is magical!
As always, my favourite videos on RUclips, a runners weekend 🥰. It’s great that more RUclipsrs are trying the same format, but you got the secret sauce to make them better 👏🏽🙌🏽. Thank you 🙏🏾
My experience at the NYC Marathon was magical this year! This video was also magic. Started tearing up at the 16:17 mark and was full blown sobbing by the end. Thanks for this! 🫶
Honestly, I really appreciate these videos. It's great that you come out for the races you don't run and stay for everyone from the elites to the final finishers. Great video.
Ah, thank you for another awesome film :) Like everyone else, I was moved to tears for the last few minutes. I turn 68 this month and I'm so inspired by Super Mario! I struggle along on a fixed income and going to food banks. My chronic health issues haven't stopped me from doing run/walk training sessions as often as I can. I hope to get back to decent running/trail running. You are right, we need the good more than ever.
This video was a touching way to end this in such a nice feel good cozy virtual hug. Thank you for this, the emotional touch of the running community and feel good vibe of it all is what I needed to end a week that was exprienced.
it was good to see people there (I just didn't want to be late to my own event and I also try not to take too much attention away from other people's events)
Thanks Kofuzi for your inspiring and comforting words at the end, I pick up what you're putting down, and the cut to Big Herm and Tommie Runz was a nice subtle emphasis to the message going out.
Great video kofuzi! It's crazy how inspiring just cheering along the sideline and watching runners completing the course can be... Thank you for sharing the moments.
I knew Kofuzi’s videos would be the cure for my blues, but I had no idea it would come from the last bit of your monologue. Thank you! Now that NY is over, I wonder if we will see you again in Tokyo
Thank you for this video. Amazing beginning to end. But especially the end! You do amazing things in the running community and bring people together. We are thankful for you!
This is one amazing videos, it really inspired me to sign up next year, you really capture the mood of the running community and I’m so glad that I’m part of it. You video captures skills and narrative is impressive, I would love it if you can do a behind the scenes video on how to capture this magic. In summery I would like to say.. thank you
I'd watched your content on IG and this channel but never really follow you. This one convinced me to be one of your subscribers. Keep vlogging, running and sharing.
thank you for another wonderful video! ran this year for the first time but then came home to Tuesday night and a bad chest cold so didn't get the chance to really soak up my experience and reflect on it until your video.
It's funny-we filmed almost the exact same scene when you were next to the Sheraton Hotel (where I stayed during the NYC marathon) with smoke rising from the manhole ! :) Thanks for reminding me of that marathon-it was incredible ! 😍
Yes, the video I've been waiting for. Finally have no work today and my brother is here for the weekend. Also just finished my long run yesterday too, another fantastic race catched by the amazing Kofuzi. Your amazing, hope to see you at CIM
@ Thank you! You have been quite the inspiration the past few years leading up, so I should say thank you for what you do and the content that you make!!
I listen to Peloton when I do my runs and I listened to their interview with Ted Metellus (on my Saturday run), who brought up the wet wipes recommendation. I didn’t full appreciate this fact until I saw your video of him helping a runner look their best. Beautiful ❤
Great video content with the choice of music is worth the wait! It is your AMAZING energy to squeeze all the events into a compact weekend (+ Rays Pizza) and stay up capturing the NYC marathon-ending moments. Even though you didn't run it this year but is like you did with so much more to share... Tks Ko 👉👊👈
Excellent video as always. I am always wondering how these final finishers find their way along the course. I imagine that all markings and signs are long gone when the streets are reopened. Do they have a guide?
there are some run crews that set up their own cheer stations along the way, and I believe there is some level of marking/marshals that make sure people know where to go. there seemed to be communication by radio spotters when each runner was approaching
"At a time where the goodness of people may be a bit rattled, know that the people you see here are good people. Know that empathy still does exist." Thanks, Ko. I so needed to hear this.
For real..... beautiful statement to end this wonderful vlog.
Well said
The minute that Ted wiped that gentleman's face. It was such an honest, sincere moment. Wow so powerful. Awesome job capturing the emotion behind the finish 😢
I was glad to have been lucky enough to have had the camera rolling at that exact moment
The ending of this video...I'm not crying, you're crying.
Yeah you got me. I teared up. Which was weird because I was on the treadmill
there was a lot of emotion in this New York
The end tho...❤
Seriously omg 😭
These onions in my kitchen man!!! I always notice them at the end of your videos brother!
it was good to see you in New York, my friend
The video was great! Your closing remarks truly were beautiful and inspirational at this moment in time. Thank you 🙏🏿
