I actually found out about him by seeing him live at the Sub Pop 30th Anniversary Festival in Alki Beach, Seattle. As soon as I saw their set, I immediately put out the word to all my homies that this was legit

Gotta be honest, I like the new style - clipping were always way too jarring for me, I always found myself waiting for a hook because the beats were so fucking experimental. Now I think they retain that own-the-street hostility without compromising the ease of listening. I really dig this.

I know a lot of people have started getting salty about all the comments about Hamilton, but that's what clued me in to this amazing artist. And I'm really grateful for that. His music and rapping actually are art everything from the beat to the instruments to the lyrics to the video is full of meaning. I love that.
As far as their Hip Hop branch Sub Pop is aiming to be the next Def Jux. Progressive, Experimental, genius hip hop. Between this and Shabazz Palaces, WOW two completely different sounding awesome Hip Hop acts. I just preordered this shit a few minutes ago. :D can't wait.

Honestly I would compare Sub Pop's Hip Hop branch more to Anticon than Def Jux. Def Jux at least had some more traditional sounding dudes like Murs and Mr. Lif, where Anticon was almost always on some experimental rap shit.
If you guys like alternative rap then you should all checkout Deathbomb Arc (Signor Benedick The Moor is my favourite rapper from them and Clipping used to be signed to them), Fake Four Inc (they have a guy called Sadistik who is my favourite rapper at the moment) and Hellfyre Club (very big art rap label with people like Milo, Open Mike eagle and Busdriver signed to them)

I think it's okay to discuss different topics if it's connected to one of the topics,

At first I was kinda mad at what you'd said bc I knew Daveed through Hamilton and the Hamilton fandom is rlly fun to play around with but I can see how ppl cross the line at some points. My own friend had said once Daveed dropped out of Hamilton that she won't listen to his music until he's in it again. First of all, that's extremely rude considering he makes good music, second, he's not coming back any time soon Im _guessing_, and third what a shitty reason to stop listening to revolutionary music.
I mean, with Lin (a person from Hamilton) ppl sometimes just see him for Hamilton, but he's made a bunch of cool stuff too. So, I get where ur coming from.
