I got very discouraged from this opening in the beginning since it was a complete big change of tone from the series I was used to however after watching the OVA series, I can say that it's part of my favourites. I was laughing like crazy to seeing the craziness all of the Higurashi characters were put into xD and the last episode hit the feels. CELEBRATION!!

Nope the season 3 is the Gou part and season 4 is the Sotsu (from season 3 and 4 Satoko ruins it and I dunno why they did that) This Kira part, OVA's and the movie is optional to watch
