Wade Flemons was a great singer who never got what he deserved. He was also an original member of Earth, Wind, and Fire, and he appears on their first two albums. He was the lead singer along with Sherry Scott, and Maurice White was strictly the drummer back then (though he did sing harmonies, he rarely sang any leads). Anyway, Wade has since passed away from cancer in 1993

The song refers to Jeanette Hutchinson from the Emotions , who was by all accounts back then a young attractive young singer along with her sisters , Wade was much older at the time good for him I say !!
