The thing that makes me giggle about this particular case is that it could have been entirely avoided if he just paid her out of pocket rather than spend campaign funds. The amount she was paid was practically a rounding error compare to his alleged wealth.

The judge curbed some of the evidence but he did say he was surprised that the defence did not object more often. There are two possible explanations for this:
1. they are incompetent or have given up already
2. they hope to use some of the evidence as grounds for an appeal.
