This theory thinking that its a bit flip is not possible on the Xbox360 or Playstation3 due to it having a complex instruction set with error correction. Now its possible that some unrelated value in memory is causing this could be something as simple as how many NPC are present or something but i guarantee you its not some random cosmic ray lol.
I should stop talking about technicalities when it comes to software
@@Syphrus well the whole cosmic ray deal is specifically software it hasn't affected systems in decades even if it was struck by lightning and that somehow caused a shift not that it would but if you did manage to get a flip it would either correct itself or cause a failure resulting in a crash.
@@Syphrus I'm a professional programmer so you should have come to me about this lol. Floating point edge cases are much more common causes of rare and hard to reproduce bugs
I believe that the speed glitch bounce works the same way as all the other bounce glitches, you just have to time it so precisely that the board, once it becomes active, is clipping far enough into the ground that the game decides to bounce you

The "speed glitch bounce" actually had a tutorial on how to pull it off. I have managed it many times at different levels, but it's mainly just very precise timing and tons of dedication. (Tutorial by iRaDa Clips)
Also this hardly EVER works in career mode, but way more often in an online session.

The footplant off the wall bounce is mainly based on the set up you have. If you spend time setting your marker in different spots and experimenting, you can get it somewhat consistent.

Even though I personally don't do these kinds of glitches when I play, it's fun watching these videos because they teach me more about how the game functions. Since as far as I know there's no behind the scenes stuff for the skate games, people breaking the game and explaining why it happens is the closest thing I have.

So idk if forwards man bounce works like this, but i do know the backwards man bounce is caused by the button inputs all happening on specific frames, frame-perfectly. That's how all backwards-man variations work (some include which idle-animation frame you jump on, maybe true for bounce?, the bounce is just a particularly weird one. I have the rhythms for a few of the interesting ones mapped into a drum machine, eg the particularly fast/slow ones & the respawn-instantly one (regardless of posture) - which i can do repeatedly on command... buuut i haven't found the rhythm for the backwards man bounce glitch yet 😅 maybs eventually? 🤷♂️
And btw Sy, big fan of the style/format/content of your recent vids. I saw you mentioned AsumSaus as inspiration with his Melee content and i reckon you're nailing that style, while still 100% your own thing. Keep up the great work!

I think the speed glitch bounce is based off of the slant of a certain part of the map, or it could be the map itself, like how you can glitch under the map in certain spots but not others.
The cannonball bounce is super random sometimes itll happen on flat ground sometimes itll happen on slants
ive found playing that the speed glitch bounce works most consistently on areas like the transition into a bridge or oddly uneven ground like in ur clip

i know im a year and a half late but that theory about a cosmic ray causing the TTC bitflip is just that: a theory. nobody knows why it happened to this day, and every expert that has investigated it has called it highly unlikely. a more likely solution is a floating point error, but bit flip glitches in tons of games have seldom been organically replicated, let alone solved.

I believe the speed glitch bounce is dealing with the ground itself, if you were to attempt it more on the same ground you performed it on you'll most likely get a higher chance of getting a bounce from it. Maybe there are some parts of the ground that has some sort of weird disforming that allows it. JUST A THEORY THough
