Nah. The only game you'd actually be able to tell while playing that you're on a faster CPU is MS Flight Simulator--at 1080p. So unless you play that all day at that resolution (so, essentially no oone) you're better off saving yourself that extra $50 (and let's face it, it's more like a $100 difference real world).
im thinking about getting a new pc and was looking at the 7700x but was hearing it hits 95 degrees. i guess thats only under heavy cpu loads because the way im going to have to configure the radiator is on the top of the case as exhaust and was tripping if i would be gaming at 95 degrees plus getting all that hot air from the gpu.
Maybe with the stock pbo which pumps a ton of voltage to the CPU for no reason (I know its to accommodate for varying silicon quality but still that shit is excesive) I haven't tried a 7700x but I have tried a 7600 overclocked to 5.625ghz all core at 1.39v, had no problem cooling it down with a 360mm aio.
At 4K these two CPUs are almost identical in performance. This is a pointless, unrealistic test, cause why would you spend $4000 on a PC with a 4090 and a Ryzen 7000 CPU, only to game at 1080p?
It’s better to have E-cores enabled but with hyper-threading disabled. You already get so many P-cores and E-cores from Intel that hyper-threading is practically useless, especially for gaming.
1080p is the bottleneck.... sorta. The CPU is clearly the bottleneck here. The CPU not being at 100% doesn't tell the whole story because it comes down to per core usage. Then again... There's nothing that can keep up with the 4090 at 1080p. There are some games where the game engine will be the limiting factor.
Long story short, its complete dickhead optimization like 80% of new games. New games are just too much broken, kinda like new cars and buildings get so much worse quality than they used to be.

This test is a complete waste of time and doesn't give the average gamer any real information. How many people actually buy 4090's? Few to none, except for RUclipsrs and content creators. And for those who DO, why would they be playing at 1080p? They wouldn't. To test the 7800X3D vs. 7700X to see REAL results, use a graphics card that most people would own. I have an RX 6750 XT, and can assure everyone reading this that the X3D CPU will NOT outperform the 7700X, because I would be GPU bound like most people. The extra cost of the X3D chip is a waste of money for most people. It's a gimmick.

How do you get high core uitilization on your CPUs?
I have an RX 6800 + R7 5700X and only get 10% CPU util in most games
when you force a low FPS at low settings, you can make the CPU work harder to get as many FPS out of the system
1080p?😊
I’m no expert and trying to get advice as I’m building my own PC currently, but aren’t these two processors a major bottleneck for the 4090?
They are, but if you testing cpu performance you don't want gpu to bottleneck cpu performance. Therefore it is good, that 4090 is used in video.
@MrTheSowa96 no don't because for games gpu more important and cpu bottlenecks gpu and it that prevents get more fps with x3d gpu usage 10% more that is the reason for more fps I'm not saying that results wrong they just nor 100% accurate
It's better get gpu worse to see how games will go when gpu is working same
@@JonathanBrodosa Fair enough, I have all my parts now, starting the build later, I decided to go for an Intel 13700k and the RTX 4080
Definitely worthit spending the extra 50$
For 13 percent nah

im thinking about getting a new pc and was looking at the 7700x but was hearing it hits 95 degrees. i guess thats only under heavy cpu loads because the way im going to have to configure the radiator is on the top of the case as exhaust and was tripping if i would be gaming at 95 degrees plus getting all that hot air from the gpu.
Nah I got a aio on my 7700x it doesn’t hit 40c
On some games I hit high 50 and games like cyberpunk I hit high 60 with my 7700x
You really can speak
At 4K these two CPUs are almost identical in performance. This is a pointless, unrealistic test, cause why would you spend $4000 on a PC with a 4090 and a Ryzen 7000 CPU, only to game at 1080p?
Same reason you get a Xbox series X and hook it up to an 8K television, because you can 😅

Do E Cores enabled vs disabled pls!
It’s better to have E-cores enabled but with hyper-threading disabled. You already get so many P-cores and E-cores from Intel that hyper-threading is practically useless, especially for gaming.

Why in Hogwarts rtx 4090 utilizing 50-58%... Not 100%... What is bottlenecking it?
1080p is the bottleneck.... sorta. The CPU is clearly the bottleneck here. The CPU not being at 100% doesn't tell the whole story because it comes down to per core usage.
Then again... There's nothing that can keep up with the 4090 at 1080p.
There are some games where the game engine will be the limiting factor.
To add on, GPU'S generally don't handle 1080p well, so it becomes more cpu dominant to keep it simple.
Long story short, its complete dickhead optimization like 80% of new games. New games are just too much broken, kinda like new cars and buildings get so much worse quality than they used to be.
@@m8x425 Nah, the game runs in 4 threads. 7800X3D is equivalent to very fast DDR5 ram, so it helps those 4 threads.

hi
7700 or 7700x?
I've seen 7700 go for a few extra than 7700x, but I'd still go for 7700 just for power saving and still delivers close to the 7700x. Basically, the 7700 makes 7700x irrelevant

7800x3d waste of money
Why???
actually its 80€ more for better performance and less power consumption. you actually safe money buying the 3d
Yes I will play these all games with 4090 at fhd res. Very very good Real world scenario. Peah..
It's a gimmick.
its cpu test not gpu test
@@drsm7947 YES, it is a CPU test, but without that specific, super high end, GPU, the CPU would have performed the same or worse than a 7700X. That's the point. Someone who buys a 7800X3D without having a 4090 will have WORSE results.
You get the most notable difference between CPUs with the strongest GPU and at 1080p, that's why he chose that GPU and resolution (and that's what all reviewers do). This video is about comparing two CPUs, not about how the 7800X3D fits your/the average gamers specific PC build
