Colin Hay is the epitome of a musician honoring his timeless passion to create music and to inspire humanity with his humble guitar. Colin's voice spans generations from young mothers to single lads to married couples yearning for a simple life to celebrate each day on this blue marble. Colin has bucked expectation to produce corporate hits to offer an introspective journey into his life through delicate and delicious compositions. A noble Scotsman, on a path for epicurean wayfaring, has invited us to partake in his quirky lyrical ventures as an old friend. This record is utterly divine with each joyfully crafted track into a sweet theme for ages to relish. Well done, Colin. Hat tip to you, maestro!
Not a record guy (I'd ordered the signed CD...love the album...but I knew I would LOL) but just watching Colin do this puts a smile on my face...is there a more upbeat person out there? Best wishes Colin!
Colin Hay what can I say!! Every time I hear this man play he gives me goosebumps with his unique and brilliant vocal chords and his amazing guitar playing. He is the real deal! Thank you Colin for giving me inspiration and that pick me up feeling I get after listening to your music and also not forgetting your wit and your fabulous humour as well. Hope to see you perform sometime soon in the near future.
My CD arrived over the weekend. Thank you Colin you staying optimistic and giving us all the delightful gift of your music. Thoughtful. Positive. Hopeful.
Great to see vinyl albums being made still. Rock on Collin! I loved your music and attitude since I was a small lad. Life definitely sent you somebody, yourself. Haha I love that song down by the sea too great simple song the simplest ones are always the best you know.
Brought back memories of having local record shops in Scotland - never forget buying Alice Cooper's Schools Out LP and finding a pair of pair knickers coving the record sleeve - you got some weird things back in the 70s with LP's
I became a fan of yours during Men At Work era. The songs I felt were different & spoke of thoughts and experiences much like what I was going through. When you became a solo act, I began to realize you had quite a bit more to say in your songs that had ways of making one think deeper than the surface ways we live. The one song that I connected with the most was Overkill. Blue for you expressed another issue I went through. This release is a crowning achievement. Don't know if you remember visiting the Gibson factory in Memphis years ago. We met briefly. Didn't have the time to talk much, my mother was very sick. Sorry I missed your performance that day
How does he get better with each album release? I'm so fortunate to have a great audio system to enjoy this incredible music. The sound quality of this album is top-notch. Wish music was routinely released in surround sound though.
