In this video, I decided to try my luck at The Forest's platinum trophy. This ended up being quite a bigger task than I originally expected, due to running into numerous glitches throughout my playthrough.

When I platinumed this game a while back, I don't think I encountered any glitches related to trophies, only thing I really had to look out for was fully exploring caves for the spelunker achievement
Yep, thought the same thing, i grinded for the plat but did not See sny glitches or anything :/
Do the water caves count?
@Stan the man of the 14th fanta can Only the caves that appear on your to do list, just have to explore them till they get crossed off and then the achievement will pop
Trophies aren’t that hard just descriptions are very vague and made a nightmare to get

I recently 100%ed The Forest on PC. I had once played it thorougly with a friend of mine so I had most multiplayer achievements. Coming to the realization that many of the achievements would reset when I'd stop playing was heartbreaking to say the least.
Imagine being a cannibal on the island and watching some new foreign survivor go around building log walls everywhere and placing animal heads on them for no apparent reason.
I never played the first one but I'm absolutely addicted to the second one right now. Happy to watch your playthrough of the first!
The second one looks really good! I've watched a few videos on it and I'm hoping it comes to console eventually!
First one is so good, but became a bit stale after a while. Now I'm waiting for the second to come out on console

There is something to mention about the head collection trophy. Mutant heads count towards the trophy so you don't need to go after the geese ( I was missing some animal heads and decided to mount a few different mutant heads and the trophy popped.)
That saves 3 heads nice

I did it with the goose head and it was a PAIN. IN. THE. ASS.

I 100% it on PC in just under 61 hours, mostly played with a friend. Some of the glitched Achievements popped after reloading the game, and some required two worlds, thankfully I had a multiplayer and a single player profile to go back and forth in. The Geese can be reloaded by going down into the nearby mine on land beside the lake, it just requires you to repel down the rope enough to load the mine. I ended up killing a goose with the pistol.
I've been cheated out of two platinums so far (three if I'd bother with another game but since I already know those trophies bugged out for me...) so I feel your pain, and I'm glad you managed to get through it.
I remember I glitched my way past the boss fight and I had no idea what happened but I wasn't going to ask any questions lol I still need that damn co-op trophy though
Great game, really enjoyed playing with a friend. I had no trophy glitch so the title surprised me.
The plat was really fun as well, I dont recall if there was any trophy I really disliked either, think not.
Watching this took me back when I got the plat for this game… Those 100 days were such a drag bc I did the same leaving my PS5 on for hours and that geese was impossible to kill lol
I got the “you should be looking for Timmy” achievement the second I placed down the gazebo blueprint. Not sure how but, yeah.

I remember me and my sister watching someone play this game ages ago, but it was only the very start before we got bored/distracted and stopped watching it- so I had just assumed the game was like a general survival game. I clicked on this video because I vaguely remembered it and OH MY GOD it is so much darker than I thought I nearly peed my pants when I saw the kid turn into that boss fight thing ew ew ew
This was my first platinum (not exactly, I am playing steam), but I remember getting it just playing and having fun with my friends. This was the game that determined me to platinum more games :)
I platinum this game back in December and yep the trophies were tedious and buggy as heck
Medic and 100 days were my problem, Vegan was a Speedrun for me just to obtain it
Medic was a bugged one for me too but we just kept going until it eventually popped
The game is definitely not as optimised as it should be 😬
There is a glitch u can do in normal survival tht a friend taught me in only works in multiplayer but if u have a pan an make a sticky bomb u can duplicate it to make 4 other bombs an u can continue doing tht to blow up multiple trees just thought id put this in here for anyone who sees it helpful

@@cartaphilus242there’s a thing where when player 1 saves and player 2 saves is different. When player 1 saves, it save the whole game, but when player 2 saves the game it just saves the players inventory, so if player 1 gives his inventory to player 2 then player 2 saves and puts all the stuff on a shelve for player 1 to take back. Then player 2 leaves the game and comes back and will still have player 1’s stuff in their inventory
friend and i actually did "dont save the forest" without explosives. we build our base on top of the quarry, so basically covered the whole quarry and build a log fence around it XD

I mounted an Armsy head instead of a goose. Also, I did the 1k trees in creative mode by making explosive traps and running into them myself. The only trophy that glitched on me was the 6 fish, one explosive in a mp game. I just had to create a couple of worlds until it popped.
I actually did the Bad Father ending before the other one. So, I did the 100 days in normal mode.
The one where you have to beat an enemy with a rock was SOOOOOO annoying for me
My co-op buddy had an issue with that one too. He ended up going into a single player session and eventually managed to grab it!
watching this I was like eh I got the platinum couldn't have been that bad and then you showed the goose lake and I got violent flashbacks of me trying to get one of these damn geese and failing countless times
I did a lot in peaceful mode like the passengers and all caves because I'm a wuss and I didn't have anyone to help, I also remember having to run around for ages for the mushrooms but I think for the rest I got pretty lucky

I played this why my gf a while back. Her and I both earned the plat, but the map cave exploring and finding all the passengers were so glitched, we popped them at seperate times when playing and doing them together. Was really frustrating.

I did most of the game on peaceful popping most of the trophys and well surviving 100 was then easy, but very boring... as for the splunker trophy... I did think it was bugged, but it wasn't and even although the map looked like I covered everything... well I really didn't as it's rather deceptive. Anyway... I think people should still try and Platinum this game... you just gotta have faith and yes after beating the game you can unlock trophys in creative mode which is great! ; D

Anyone whos struggling with geese spawning at geese lake, the lake north east of the yacht with the village on the north side also has geese spawn, and they somwtimes glitch and swim in a steaight line rheough the map, allowing you to quickly melee down and get the head before they go under
I remember that when i did this trophy it was really difficult
I dont know if it was because of glitches or because there wasnt much information on the trophies
I got the platinum for this game without creative mode. From my experience only the tracking of how many you need is buggy but the trophy it self is not. For example if you eat 5 out 6 mushrooms in one world but start a new world, then the trophy will stay at 5 out 6 but in that new world, you would still need to eat all 6 again

The stupid achievement for surviving 100 days almost killed me
the forest is genuinely my favourite game, tied with dying light. its insanely good
Every time I beat the game I only need 2 items, the key card and the rebreather. What me and my friends do is build a platform out to the lake at the bottom of the hole and jump down into the water, zero fall damage
There was a funny glitch with the chainsaw for the Pacifist acheivmet were I killed canabails with the chainsaw
Now, worth noting - the issues with having to do things in single session are not present on the Steam version of the game. So, I guess we really do have easier time... Sorry.
4:52 one time i got lucky and there were goose right next to land so i killed one with the plane axe and got the head (though i wasnt trying to get achievements.Maybe you can do the fish strat and lead the geese to land by going to water
There are 2 geese spawn areas, the one you found and one lake next to a cannibal camp
I would say 99% of the trophies are easy and correctly to get.
For me some of those passengers didnt properly pop up and this 1000 trees trophy was bugged as well. It were definitely way less than 1000. I guess around 300.
The most bugged trophy was definitely the 100 days trophy. Save said 142 days. Some days did not count because i used the night skip.
When I platinumed the game i experienced a glitch when trying to get one of each animal head and halfway into it I just randomly got the trophy. The spelunker achievement was the biggest headache for me because despite exploring all the caves, I guess I didn't hit all the trigger spots so I had to run around the whole map

@@konmen4103 For the 100 days one you just have to survive 100 days without dying, not 100 days in one game session. If you just reload saves after dying you'll just get it naturally after playing the game long enough. Dying is so punishing in the game because it resets your precious stats, so my friends and I would just save a lot plus leave and join back
Should do Hitman series by IOI. That Platinum is broken as Hell too. Took me forever to get that Plat.
The easiest way to get the trophy for cutting down a 1000 trees is to start a new game in creative mode, where you are in god mode, and can build unlimited explosive traps without hurting yourself. It took me about 2 hours to get the trophy.
Spelunker is glitched for me. I have tried so many times to full explore one last cave on my to do list but it won't pop. I have every other trophy
I played the forest for a couple weeks straight just for a normal play through. Never got a glitched “don’t save the forest” achievement.
Timmy’s toy achievement was glitched for me, I got all of the parts two of them were invisible so I never got it.
teah, the final boss was kinda a joke to explosives, think i chucked a stick or 2 of dynamite at it while my friend was distracting it
it died from barely any explosives
I was giving up after trying 3 times trophy hunter but it just doesn't pop... its a very fun game but i never saw so many bugs

I cut down 1000 trees on a single player world lol. It took a few days but I never touched creative for my trophies
Me and a friend got the trophy on one world (except vegan of course but we did that on survival too) after chopping up 200 trees realizing it was glitched we chopped trees for 8 hours straight and sure enough it popped but it's torture

I don't know man I never had any problems with any achievements nor did I have to complete them in a single session, maybe it's because I was on pc
When I first saw vegan I thought it would be hard to achieve for so reason I soon forgot about it and I was trying to speed run the game one day got it on accident and thought oh cool
I platinum this game and the problem is that you have to stay in a specific point in a cave for the achiviement and it took me a lot of hours or days thinking why i dont have the trophie

On playstation i beat the game, i attempted to reload my previous save righy before the final boss, and the last save was aparrently 30 ingame days ago

when i got the vegan trophy i had to do it twice cause the first play through i got the second ending but you need the first
It still doesn't make sense to me, The Forest a hugely popular PS4 game, so they release it's much anticipated sequel on PC Only. I have lost hope for it to come to PS5. They left so many sales on the table. I don't get it. 🤷♂️

I just finished the platinum which was the worst week of my life, my game crashed four times which made me lose ten days each time when I was trying to get bad father
Me and my friend speedrun this game you don't need the climbing axe it's fairly easy to beat the game without anything other than the keycard and the rebreather.
5:20 , for the platinum "trophy hunter" getting the gease head its glitchy af i tried getting it for like 3 hours, until i found a reaaaally old thread that said that you can use any head, as long as you get 11 so i just killed a mutant, put its head on the wall and got the trophy
10:35 idk about consoles, but on pc its fine and isnt required to be done on a single sitting. i got it legit by just playing the game
I'm on PC and have started 7 or so new games to get that bunny achievement, and it just never pops.
if you need help on the bad father achievement i know away where you can get it done in lees then an hour just go godmode or go on creative then use the cheat timescale set it to 100 if your pc cant run it just go on 50 and on 100 it only took me 30 to 45 mins to get

Was doing all the achievements for this game and spelunker is bugged out of its mind (it will not cross off the lawyer cave). I don't have the motivation to start a new world and get the last achievements
the regular forest wasnt bugged at all for achievements, now sons on the otherhand
I've played this game but I can't Platinum it because every time I play it, gitches. The worst part is I can't play multi-player because it glitches the moment I save the game, and lose all progress

You have to explore the entire cave, every corner and crevasse until the cave is crossed off your to do list :)

Idk if it’s because I’m playing now after patches but I didn’t experience any glitches with my trophies thankfully, I have 1 more trophy with is the survive 100 days, they should of made it 50 😭

I did it without creative and the 1000 trees trophy took around 3-4 hours. Still a long time but possible
You dont really need climbing axe bc only place you need it you can just jump in there bc of some rocks

great game, but the follow up ''sons of the forest'' in early access, yet you can finish the game before full release being left only to build monotonously, there are so many bugs that hopefully will be addressed, it runs like a double amputee, there are massively pointless items to collect, including a unicycle, in a forest? a bloody unicycle? people asked for a vehicle, probably hoping for something to enable log transportation due to trees not regrowing, but the devs took the easy option in the unicycle as it took far less work to implement. I could go on and on, but my biggest complaint about it is that it is meant to be a horror survival, whereas The Forest made me poop my pants quite a few times, Sons of The Forest is laughable, it is so easy to survive, you have so much food you could collect enough to stay at your base for a year, water is everywhere you look, as for horror? the cannibals are not scary and the mutants are comedic and only made me laugh, I mean c'mon a mutant with an enormous mouth with dozens of fingers for teeth? a slinky two headed wormlike thing that is so easy to avoid and kill. Enough said, it is early access but early enough to know it is failing massively taking into account comments from players. A big big letdown after the first game.
