Awesome tutorial, I would recommend saying "Zedd" for Z, sometimes it sounded like you were saying C instead of Z. Overall super easy to follow along with and detailed, sooo much better than that dang donut! 😍
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial! I’m really struggling with the step after toggling x-Ray at 3:55. When I click the sphere, nothing happens. I don’t get the orange grid, I’m not sure what I may be doing wrong 😅
I was just having trouble with this too! I turned on captions and it said tap which didnt make sense. Then I noticed in the bottom rightish of the screen it says what buttons she's pressing. Turns out it's TAB 👍
I loved this tutorial. I learned originally on maya and found the transition a little difficult, But this was amazing! Although I did go Violently off script, But I'm just going to go with my mushie having "Personality"
When adjusting lighting strength, if your rendered view is washed out/super white and you can't see your object; Sarah mentions to set your sun strength to '5000', I was so frustrated and it's such a simple communication error if you're not looking at the details on screen. Set your Sun strength to '5.000', not '5000.000'. I feel so silly for this.
I've learned a lot following your tutorials. Your work is lovely! From the beginning, I've been having problems with the render view. Render lighting doesn't looks like yours, mine is too bright, like white and hard shadow. I can't color with this issue. Do you know how I can fix the render view so it looks like yours?

Same here, haven’t figured out why yet unfortunately! 😕 Edit: I found out why! Ok so go to edit, then preferences, then viewport, click subdivision, and then unselect GPU subdivision.
at min 09:13 I unclick this little triangle to only see "one phase of the black lines" but at my mushroom it will only show the outer black lines and not the inner ones, like at her video... how can I change this? :D SEND HELP! NOOB HERE :D

At 18:54 you select CTRL and then click 'Numpad +' to select the faces around the center. Do you happen to know of an alternative key bind for "Numpad +" to do the same thing?

You can’t do this on iPad, but you don’t necessarily have to have a pc either. Mac mini is on sale right now for 500 bucks and it’s a REALLY good desktop computer for the price, so that’s what I’m starting on
At minute 2 you scaled the cube making a rectangle and i am so confused like how- min 4:22 again like howww i'm stugglin with this sm i- OHH I GET IT NOW NVM tysm this tutorial is great

Did you try turning down the strength of the light? Otherwise in part 5 you can see how i set up all the lights and hopefully that'll help 🤞🏼
I had this problem too, but I realised Sarah set the strength to 5 instead of 5000!!

at 9:10 - when I click mine off solidify the cage is on the outside of the mushroom not the inner - so I can't edit inside the mushroom? Any advice?
Did you set the thickness to a minus value? I might have forgotten to say in the video (I think i said 0.1 instead of -0.1)
But even if yours is not a minus value you should still be able to fill the bottom and top with F 😄
@@3d.bysarah it wont let me click the bottom of it, it selects a point on the sides or a line n fills that in instead🥲
i figured it out, i clicked on the triangle to bring back some of the lines lol n it finally highlighted the circle

I figured it out! I enabled Numpad Emulator in the User Preferences > Input settings and it works now :)
