when I first got saved, it was in the Assembly of God church, and then when I first learned about rightly dividing I left there and started listening to Les Feldick, who I believe is a wonderful saved man, but I think he is a little too extreme. But I respect him, because I was really messed up with the pentecostal and speaking in tongues stuff and learning rightly dividing really changed my walk with the Lord and my understanding

You covered your ears and eyes and said "no no I don't want to hear it". I love all those older gospel songs too, but don't reject the new stuff. Contemporary Christian music is some of the best music around. Not all of it, but some of it. The Holy Spirit will guide you in this area. But some of it is encouraging and helps people walk in the spirit throughout the day. Especially to the younger generations. It helps people fall asleep at night and wake up with a song in their hearts, and praise and worship to the Lord every day. 😇

The Holy Spirit will help discern the good from the not so good. You know what I mean? You can feel it in your soul, what's right or not. Not all contemporary Christian music is appropriate for our fellowship with the Lord. As a great grandpa now, I love the older stuff I was raised on. But once in a while, while traveling I hear new good uplifting wholesome praise and worship. I notice some of it drifting away from praise and worship. I've never heard of any headbanging, body slamming Christian music before. What were you listening too, lol. I've even gone as far to contacting the radio station to complain (politely of course) and say, "what happened to the older stuff you used to play ?" Oh sir yes, we get these calls all the time but we're trying to be fair to everyone, especially the new artists just coming out with music for all generations "... I don't want to argue so I let the spirit continue to guide me. It all about praise and glory to God/Jesus and the Holy Spirit. You'll know.
