If you reduce everything to it's physical form, as everything (even us) is made of particles and energy, then that's a valid perspective, but assuming that it is the Fundamental perspective is not helpful and probably not true either.. As It denies the complexity of human experience and denounces the myriad of ways human consciousness interact. Stories, myths, legends, or mythology create an alternate reality where humans can find meaning an purpose in something sacred. That's a beautiful perspective also. I wouldn't reduce everything into its material form, as it loses so much complexity of human experience

The "world" has never been more peaceful and happy that it is right now, which is sad on its own considering how much misery there actually is, but it is true, people in general have more freedom, food, wealth, better health and happiness than they have ever had at any time in human history, thats not to say that everything is great, its not, but by every metric used, things are better now for more people around the globe then at any previous time in history, mainly due to advances in technology & social progress but also a lot of it is due to lower levels of religiosity in countries that were stuck in the past with immoral, barbaric ideologies, although, sadly, some still are, and those countries are now the outliers, not the norm, thankfully.

I’m religious and a Christian and I disagree completely. I think all other religions have a grain of truth to them. They speak about a higher power or supernatural entities, which many different cultures have interacted with and developed their own traditions around. But I personally subscribe to the belief that the most true of all of these faiths is that of Christianity

All religions are man made. You just have to look at the shortcomings of Christian denominations to see that. Jesus did not approve of man made religions either because of their one inherent fault. They all believe you have to do something (walk around the Kaaba, lay on a bed of nails, or Hail Mary) to get to heaven. But without believing and trusting that Jesus is God, you will die in your sin.

Saying that we all have a religion because of adopt some kind of life philosophy, habits or addition is dumb or intellectually dishonest. A non intelligent equivocation. A definitional fallacy or ‘dodge fallacy’ because it s an attempt at redefining a crucial term in a claim so as to avoid acknowledging a counter-expample that would falsify a claim.
The dictionary defines religion in 2 ways : a particular system of faith and worship or a pursuit or interest followed with great devotion. You are equivocating so that you can feel less stupid clinging to claims of your religion like ‘we are all in the shit because 6000 yrs ago a nudist got scammed by a talking snake’, or once a man lived inside a fish for 3 days or once some dude open up the sea with a walking sticks.
Sorry to break it to you. That kind of religious claim fall into the the category of faith (aka the excuse you give when you don have a good reason for believing something. Gambling is not a ritual. We don’t worship scientific discoveries. We appreciate them and replace them once we they can’t explain something new. As someone who has studied most of the major religions when I was considering becoming religious, I found them all equally as complex as each other and I don't think it's fair to say Christianity is the one religion that sticks out compared to the rest.
