The main argument that these guy has is they don't know how to play the game. But it is a good thing because this game is trying to do something new hence it take a great deal of practice/patient before you learn to appreciate it. I mean do we really want another Skyrim and Witcher 3? Should RPG game becomes the new FPS where every single games play the same but just set in different timeline?
AGC said the tutorial part of the game can last 6-7 hours and doesn't open up until after that. However the story is apparently very well done so it's worth it. If they only played 4 and 6 hrs each that means they either rushed it completely or barely got into the freedom of the open world. I don't trust these opinions at all.
This video confirmed what I have been saying for years, modern gamers brought up on Witcher 3, Assassins creed, Batman or other button mashing tripe will not have the slightest clue how to play a proper RPG.
Video in a nutshell : "Slow progression is bad. I want to be fast and OP right away." "Combat is frustrating because I can't get used to it. I recognise that combat would pick up but muh Oblivion" "I understand this game focuses on realism and I jumped down from a great height to debilitate myself because I don't understand how gravity works." "Muh magic and fantasy RPGs" "Only Bethesda games have lockpicking and pickpockets. It's totally not a common CRPG element in video games!" "Why isn't this Oblivion / Witcher!?" (Gee, I don't know, the devs have been marketing it as a realistic RPG since day one) "I've never seen limited saves in video games before and I have no idea how to manage saves." Some of their points weren't bad (Mostly stuff that revolves around the quality-of-life aspects of the game) but most others features a deep set irony of two people that probably has incredibly limited gaming experience themselves. Combat is frustrating to get used to but it's rewarding - I'd played the beta / demo releases and it's easy to get your ass handed over to you if you expect it to play like Bethesda's clicking sims. We've officially found the DSP of game impressions guys!
Commie Cat If it's shit, it's shit. I've watched reviews talking about why it's good and why it's shit. But at least the ones who complained did more than talk about the Elder Scrolls.
"Mentioning Elder Scrolls does not equal ONLY talking about the Elder Scrolls." Or if you had the intellectual honesty to actually watch the video and not block out vital information to benefit your lopsided argument, you could see that these fine folks drew comparison to "muh Oblivion" more than three times. Their criticisms were also as equally lopsided as your sense for honesty. The "fantasy RPG without fantasy" line in itself speaks volumes about the fact that they were projecting what they wanted Kingdom Come to be and completely failed to realise that the game was not out to cater to people that likes fantasy RPGs to begin with.
I think there’s an argument to be made that it doesn’t matter whether it’s realistic or not. The point of a game is for someone’s enjoyment and even if the combat system isn’t fun because it’s realistic at its core it’s just not fun. Some people will get an enjoyment out of the realism alone but the reality is that it’s completely subjective and i think they’re coming from a non history buffs point of view just trying to convey to people that they shouldn’t be expecting a similar combat system to other games out there and that if they’re expecting the norm they’ll be receiving something unique for better or for worse
"Oh no you are not instantly a badass master of sword capable of taking on kings and Gods" Are you fucking serious? It's an RPG with focus on realism. What did you expect? Medieval CoD?
Ya I want to play 3000 hours of skyrim where I can push 1 button throughout the entire game, and win every battle never dying once, or feeling remotely threatened, or challenged.
They actually gave it a respectable score of 8.0 and seemed to enjoy it a lot. Obviously the main issue holding it from higher scores is the bugs. I'd give it an 8.0 currently too and when it's all patched up with fixes to the saving/lockpicking mechanics it would definitely be a 9 or higher
8:36 THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ONLY PLAY A TUTORIAL AND POST A REVIEW... THEY ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE GAME TEACHING YOU THE MECHANICS AS IF ITS ENDGAME GAMEPLAY.
Yep.... "go on watch" in Talmberg if im not mistaken, but they literally WAITED 30 MINUTES IRL and didn't fucking skip time by pressing T like about everyone else did, even after the guard in game said "you can just lean back on the wall and wait until morning."
Danny Jablonski Because if you told me the game gets good after 10 hours I'd tell you to go fuck yourself; and this is their job. They're getting paid to review it and probably have other things they need to do.
I didn't even bother watching the video. As soon as I saw these guys, I had a feeling of what might be in store. Looked at the comments and saw that my hunch was correct. Glad I saved myself the aggravation.
It is a amazing game for anyone who likes realistic RPGs. These guys rushed a review they only played for 10 hours between them. Looks like they had their mind made up on it before they even played it. This will be one of those games where some people love it and some people hate it. Completely depends on what type of combat people like. I prefer a challenge where it could take at least 20 hours to get good than play a game where it is just press x to attack b to block and so on.
well don't know how you can review it after 5-6 hours of playing it cause i just started doing the first major quest after the tutorial at that time >.>
I've had it since friday and it's a sim, not Skyrim. You don't get a complex sword tutorial until you first have sword combat. It's not a fast paced action game Fuck me. We get it, it's a sim therefore can be boring if you aren't engaged
JYDeAlberto They apperantly didn't do any home work. Like towards the end they said it's only realistic in setting, but not game play. Like brah, even the armor is more realistic is this game. You have to eat and drink in order to survive. Your health doesn't go up when ever you reach another level. Everything is realistic.
Orl Cal Being as simplistic as it is, Skyrim is miles ahead of Kingdom Come in fun department. KC has no interesting loot, no interesting abilities, nothing to do in the world that is really interesting, and the list goes on. What the fuck are you people on that you think this game is so good.
Without armour and representing unarmoured duels (like how it also happens in Kingdom Come) ruclips.net/video/IhbcntqyiSo/видео.htmlm22s Let's kill this myth that medieval armours are clunky and swords are unweildy, shall we?
BFF's Recon That is not quite true. I'll give you that some people who only do the sporting part get lighter blades. but I can assure you that a lot of HEMA practitioners get swords with weights and points of balance based on museum originals. They are not that heavy. A medieval longsword weighs in average between 1.5 kg and 2 kg (even though there are historical examples that weigh less or even more than the average). About the armour, you are indeed correct that the second video shows no heavy armour. But, as I said in the same comment, it represents UNARMOURED duels. For ARMOURED combat, you have the first video I linked in my first combat. And yes, armour can be clunky, but only if get an off the shelf harness. If a harness is tailor made for you, it will sit just right, and the whole weight will be well distributed, so you won't feel like your fighting the armour as well as your opponent. I'll leave you this link which is a docummentary on youtube about HEMA (even though you might not watch it, I can rest my conscience xD) ruclips.net/video/7DBmNVHTmNs/видео.html
Games have to find a line between realistic and fun. Games aren't fully realistic because it would be fucking boring, so it seems like a legitimate criticism.
they don't HAVE TO do jack shit because suprise suprise, people paid them to produce realistic game. on the contrary I think you have to accept their choice. also "fun" doesn't always mean "easy".
Tomosprey Except that it's what the game is. It's what it's advertised as. I wouldn't review a racing game and then bitch that there's to much driving. If it's not for them, cool. But tell me what makes the game good or bad. Not what you prefer.
Let’s just make the game fast paced as Skyrim because you can swing a sword in 2 seconds in Skyrim. As someone who’s actually sparred with swords before they’re incredibly heavy and it is genuinely hard to actually swing it fast. Skyrim albeit a great game is fantasy so they can get away with the whole artistic liberties. This game was crafted as a realistic medieval RPG. In real life you wouldn’t be able to swing a sword at 100 miles per hour.
Liam Geary Except that hand-to-hand combat looks silly as hell; people on their regular clothing swing their punches like drunkards. Animations should've been polished more and the price of the game should be around 40-50 bucks and not a full price.
Liam Geary then you must be using wrong sword. Swords are always lightweight and balanced, easy to swing around and move rapidly. What makes sword combat slow is techniques of fight. Swinging the sword itself is incredibly easy
OcelotSensei I have to admit I thought the hand to hand was silly myself. But I was specifically talking about sword combat. Also the only fistfight I’ve seen so far was with a drunkard so obviously he’d fight like one lol.
"It's a fantasy RPG but based in reality" So... An RPG. Honestly, I hope the majority of players aren't disappointed by how realistic the game is like these two dipshits. EDIT: I'm not saying that this game is perfect - I'm just saying that these guys seem to have misinterpreted how it works.
Immensely enjoying it. Pacing of the game is brilliant; no mark blacksmiths boy setting out into a cruel time of war. The point in the video about selling your shoes for a lockpick? Why not? Seems a pretty mediaeval thing to have to do.
I admit, I might've been somewhat hyperbolic in this comment, but you're unlikely to play another game as historically accurate as this any time soon. However, I wouldn't call myself a fan. I only hopped on board the hype train a month or two ago, and have been seriously enthralled by how dedicated Warhorse Studios are to making this game feel genuine. I'm not spiteful of any objections you might have, but if you do decide to voice your opinions, please don't be a dick about it.
Meh it’s not like Skyrim or witcher even though the devs specifically stated they were making a medieval historically accurate RPG there’s not enough fantasy in a non fantasy game.
Joseph Fourier I played the game from 2am to around 6. The game does play like shit, the animations are bad, and it most certainly feels like it couldve came out 3-5 years ago. Being niche is not an excuse for a game being bad lmao, I play alot of niche games and indie ones. This game hopes you care about the story more than the gameplay. I dont
Joseph Fourier Look at the butthurt bitch who is crying and defending a shit game he cant afford LMAO. Why you so hurt boy? Get a fuckin job you fat faced slob so you can buy this shit game you idolize~
Joseph Fourier No you dont LMAO its obvious you, like everyone else who is defending it hasnt played the game theyre defending. If its so great you wouldnt be spending your time on RUclips looking for people to argue with LMFAO. Watching a lets play on RUclips doesnt mean you bought it you chubby broke slob
Thank you! So much! Listen to this guy seriously. Hes right. This isnt Power Fantasy simulator 2.0 Theyre an indie studio. Outdated? No one even does realistic RPGs. Its slow and plotting because what is life? Slow and plotting. The title should really be Kingdom Come Deliverance is a game for people who don't want Skyrim bullshit handholding. Like come on guys? What the fuck? You cants save all the time because you need to play smart. Your not the fucking Dragonborn, jeez.
I have genuinely never seen a video where people were this ignorant. He played 4 hours... are you kidding me? For the love of god go watch Mack's review of this game and ignore these uninformed and spoon fed kids.
Wait you played 6 hours?.... You know the tutorial takes 6-7 hours right? So basically you are reviewing a game that you didn't beat the intro for.... Nice.
And that's the problem a tutorial is not opposed to be 6 hours a tutorial is supposed to teach you what you do quick and easy so you can get into the game now that posed to be a six-hour Adventure turns out to be just a side quest
If a game takes 6, 7 hours to start "enjoying" it, its not a good game. Most of you are kids who dont know how precious time is, or youre just losers with no life who play video games all day and night while eating cheetos in mommy's basement, thats why you dont see why this game sucks.
@@manorui100 do you even realize mocking people having "no life" blatantly shows that you are insecure in someway in your life? Cause if you really do have a thing you would consider having a "life" you wouldn't even care about saying a game sucks or mock others that did nothing to you lol.
"Realism doesn't belong in a video game"? Hasn't realism been a big thing in games lately? Like, the walking simulators, the VR stuff? Then again, what people count as realism is different I guess. I'd call locational damage realistic, or Witcher 3's trees blowing in the wind. This not having dragons or the ability for trial and error via quicksaving spamming (Ok, that Ima miss..) is for some a good thing.
I'm not really speaking for anybody. The most popular video games are usually crazy and action-packed. Video games are fun because they're fast paced and not like real life, they're entertainment and an escape. There will always be people who like the advanced sims and walking simulators, but action games without much focus on realism are more popular and fun.
True, true. But I don't know about you, but I haven't been runnin' around in plate armour stabbing people with swords recently ;) What's sad here is that they've picked two people who aren't really the target group for the game to review it (eventually). If you head over to say ESO, who have played the game for a long time, you'll get a more in-depth look at the game. Man, can't wait to get home and give it a go.
This channel is arguably the worst one I've seen for game reviews. "Oh we played all weekend" really means we played about 2 hours, here's what we think. They did it with Assassins Creed Origins too. Quality game, the one on the left played a handful of hours, labelled it as *basically* shit and within a week a new video was up saying he liked it. Don't give a review if you haven't played enough of it.
Even if it isn't technically a review and really a first impressions they are usually not accurate at all. Most likely because they are rushing to put a video out instead of taking their time to play the game and take in the world. They said the story was bad and I've already seen multiple places say it's well written, excellent or at least that the characters, especially Henry, are very likable. I can respect people for having different opinions but these guys are rarely accurate in comparison to other places and can come off as overly negative. Good channel for lists and sometimes news....not so much for new game impressions/reviews
The entire video was more of a projection of what they want the game to be. It's essentially two jokers going into ARMA thinking it'd play out like Call of Duty then moaning about how it plays differently from their narrow perspective of what video games should be like.
Bitter McBitterson Yes because after EVERYONE (not just whatculture) played the game enough to see it after the patches and find the good parts, soooooo many people still talked about it. Great game. Clap.
Bitter McBitterson They didn't lie about Origins. They had early access to it and as a result, played an unpatched version of it. That first video was a first impression video that they put out just before Origins launched and put out a proper review a week later singing praises for the game once it was patched. Because the unpatched version was absolutely unplayable garbage.
Evanz111 Well essentially what the Bitter arsehole up there *thinks* is that in WhatCultures first impressions video on Assassin's Creed Origins they talked about the massive bugs and problems it had at launch. They played an unpatched version that the developers gave them and gave first impressions after a few hours of gameplay. It *wasn't* a lie, they did experience massive glitches just before launch. When the patches came in, they did their ACTUAL review and gave it a glowing recommendation as the game was very good. Sadly, many idiots do not know what a review is and what first impressions are so you will find that people think that video like the one this comment is on are full reviews when they aren't, causing people to judge them for things that are just wrong.
Wow two comments, just for me? You must be a pretty angry boi. A lot of people still talk about and play Origins. Next time maybe don't apply your own opinions on everybody else ey?
I can't wait for the video in a few weeks saying Scott was wrong about this game too. After hearing their playtime it's clear they rushed a shit review so they could be among the first sites. I understand needing to get the review out fast but it will never be accurate for a game this size with only the small amount of playtime they had on a version that probably wasn't even patched
LouDogg 420 they make a video on aaaaaany tiny piece of information availiable to them as quickly as possible JUST to have the hot scoop, even though its almost always a hot scoop of shit, like this joke of a fucking review, 10 collective hours hahahahaha These cunts are halfassin it all the way to Watch Mojo
They definitely rushed it and possibly barely got out of the tutorial section. The tutorial can be around 7 hours but goes by fast because of the excellent story. If they only played for 4 and 6 hrs that means they completely rushed it or barely experienced the world. These guys should just stick to the lists
I remember when I first played Witcher 3. I spent more than 10 hour in White Orchard. Cleared it only to go back and start over because I got confused about the "load save" vs "simulate save" or whatever. Then I changed my way partway through and replayed it again. That said, I did do all there was in that area before moving on, because that's pretty much how I do. So yeah, one can spend a lot of time in the prologue. Asaik the story here takes a while to kick off due to learning the world and such?
Hahaha I did the exact same thing with the Witcher 3. And yeah your kinda just going around doing small tasks and learning the systems for awhile but it is still enjoyable because they created a very good world. Combat has a steep learning curve but once you get it, it works well.(except with multiple opponents it's kinda messy currently)
And it's kinda buggy, a little less with the patch but still has a Bethesda level of bugs lol. But even great games like the Witcher were really buggy on launch so it's just gonna take a little time to iron em all out. Nothing that makes the game unplayable though
They are awful they did the same with assassins creed origins they barely played it and gave it a bad review and then later said it was good because they got negative feedback. They are two out of shape man child's with low IQ who spend there lives playing cliché games and complain any time a game is different.
The combat model is designed to be as realistic as possible, based on historical European martial arts. It has to be made slower because in reality it's so complex. As a HEMA fan, I love it, but I get your opinion too.
This is a game that frustrates you and makes you quit a bunch of times as you're learning it but once you get into it, you realize just how amazing of a game it really is.
Seriously dude, anytime these guys pop up in my feed, I just know it's not worth watching. These are two super casual "gamers" who barely know what they're talking about. I think they should stick to mobile games lol
In the words of Downward Thrust: "This game is for the methodical RPG player who wants to jump into a huge game and take their time. The combat is very deliberate and requires a lot of patience.” You are obviously not the kind of gamers who will be taking their time. Go back to Skyrim you fucking casuals.
+Roland Surname Check the comments. The commie cat guy has a literal meltdown, and is attacking everyone who comments positively on the game. It's so sad.
Lord Whoopi I like the game (finished it). But claiming that it's the best game ever just seems quite ignorant. Especially since he always gets this smug look and laughs at anyone that doesn't share his opinion
Lol these two guys...Citation: "We spend most of the weekend to play as much as posibble." 4 mins in video: "I put 6 hours in it and you 4". LOLOLOLOL. Zero information value based on other peoples videos. Noobs
Kay v R exactly. They are stupid casual morons. They like games for kids and with one button for action. And they play games on easy mode for sure. Casual boring and mass production games nowadays with microtransactions are cancer of this kids planet
Why the hell do they compare it to Skyrim or Oblivion when the game is so way too different, besides the fact that it has melee weapons and bows? I mean the game doesn't even have magic or elves! I tried looking at this with a open mind but most things you've said I don't agree with, at all. I played it for a short bit, about 4 hours at night and it was absolutely amazing. The animation can be wonky and voice acting is a bit strange at times but it never took me out of the experience as I went deeper in the story.
I feel like 4 and 6 hours of gameplay is a bit short for a full review of a game. Should call this video a first impressions. His failure to pick a lock and his result in knocking a guard out sounds amazing and when he was tasked to get something back from someone and he turns out dead the next day, you're probably quite a likely suspect.
They don't say so in the title and at the start talk about how they've played it all weekend. They slag the game to tits and it's not till like 10 minutes in that they tell you it's a kind of first impressions. So it's pretty much a bollocks load of click bait.
Daniel Kenyon It also doesn't say review in the title, and at no point in the video do they say it is a review. They didn't like the start of the game, boom that's it. End of story.
'Deliverance is an RPG for people who don't like video games' feels like a review of the game overall. Bigging up how they've played 'all weekend, including Friday' and then following with a review of the game, feels like it's a review. An onion doesn't have to tell you it's an onion for you to know it's an onion. Middle of story. It's click bait city.
Daniel Kenyon If it "feels" like that to you, then i'm not going to be able to convince you otherwise. To me it feels like a first impression, seeing as they emphasise the fact that they have played the beginning of the game.
Terrible that two people who are talking about a video game there doing a fifteen minutes video on have no idea when it comes out jeez that's unprofessional
Garret Louttit That's actually what I like about this channel. They are people, not just suits churning out the same regurgitated opinions as everyone else.
This is so true to me now more than ever. Well, I love (loved) video games but have a serious loss of interest in them over the past 2-3 years. But, I sit down and beat Kingdom Come for my second play through.
"swinging a sword at one mile an hour." Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but normal people didn't swing swords 15 times per second like you see in most modern games.
They collectively played 6 to 10 hours of a 40 plus hour rpg and are posting this crap? Go watch angry centaur gaming for an actual review... Hes brutally honest and actually played the game.
In5aneShadowZz 180 I'm digging it so far. Old school grindy hard but I like that. Only thing I really don't like atm is the lock picking mechanics. The input is wonky to me on ps4. Lol but thats more my fault than the games as I feel I just haven't gotten the touch for it yet. Probably going to pick it up for pc as well because im sure the modders will have a field day with this one.
Lock picking actually isn't that difficult.. it's just a new system and it starts out hard because you aren't high in level. It get's easier just as quickly as fighting and all of that if you are using the skill.
Lads, it's a f***ing video game that you've CLEARLY known about for some time. I appreciate that you may not like it, but understand that it's meant to convey REALISM as best as it can, and you are NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE to just pick up a sword and f*** people up with it, especially ones that are trained to use a sword. Not every game needs to drop you into the action right away, much like not every great novel, TV show, or film blows its load in the beginning. Narratively, it makes sense. Jesus H Christ, your opinion's valued, but at least let it come from somewhere that's not just hating on something because you don't like it. Courses for horses.
Oblivion and Skyrim are my favourite games of all time. I say this so you know how I feel about epic, fantasy rpgs. I'm 12 into Kingdom Come and I love it. It's something new, exciting a real live the life.
The game does needs polish around some edges (im personally displeased you can't grab things on a table while sitting) and fixing a lot of bugs. But other than that it has been a fresh surprise, it kinds of reminds me of vampire the masquerade in the sense the game doesn't hold your hand, it gives you and objective and you are left alone figuring out how to do it by inquiring into the world. It also reminds me a little to games like gothic or risen in the sense you are a piece of shit good for nothing in the beginning and have to slowly crawl your way to the top, and in this game it actually feels like it makes sense, you can't expect for the lazy son of a blacksmith who drinks and talks to ladies in the afternoons to kick the asses of soldiers fully armored and properly trained, i like that feeling of inferiority, i like how avoiding confrontation is a reasonable choice, it makes progression all the more rewarding. If you are a baddass since minute one is hard to feel character progression, and this is one aspect so many RPG's nowdays fail, they think freedom is to do whatever you want, no, freedom is to do whatever you want but taking responsibilities for your actions. So if any, this game tries to tackle at the core elements of the genre that were lost down the road, does it succeed, does it falls short? that should be the debate, but even the tittle of the video denotes poor knowledge about the topic.
What bullocks, you get lockpicks within first half an hour if you play just a bit differently(talking from first hand experience). Plus if you do a bit of searching, there is chest that can be looted without lockpicking to get the armor set. And a impressions video based on 4 and 6 hours of gameplay(by which the game doesn't even get through 1/4th of the story?) Yes I do agree with some things about the gameplay(but even skyrim and witcher have/had glitches and problems), but we should not forget that Warhorse is an indie company and this is their first ever game(remember what witcher 1 was as CD projekt's first endeavour?). You were given free copies of the game, so at least have the decency to put some quality time into it rather than pumping out a video just for the sake of it, please play the entire game then post a review, whether good or worse. We viewers deserve better. Cheers.
That's the problem, the just want to slap up as many vids as possible being negative towards most things that taking the time to actually play a game doesn't fit into it as long as you put in a couple hrs..... People need to go watch other channels to actually see if the game is for them before writing it off because even if this game isn't for you, it isn't the crap that these two were jerking out.
What got to me is they call this a game for people who hate video games.. but they get paid to play this game and can't even be fucked to play it properly, they just want everything to happen easily so they can do a review.. I don't think they enjoy them, it's work for them and so this seems like a game that makes their job harder to do. Those of us who actually like to play games generally don't mind waiting through a small loading screen to get to dialogue.. because we actually want to talk to thee villagers. We don't mind if an entire mission is dedicated to teaching you how to skip time... because we want to actually know how to play the game properly. We don't mind if a game takes time for you to progress through it and become stronger... because we don't want the game to be finished in 6 hours so we can pump out a video an earn some $$$ from it.
I have delayed playing this game because of reviews like this, and now that I have played it, I can say that you are wrong. . . and yes I have watched the full length of your video before coming down in the comments section lmao.
Health is based on armor you can be the best fighter not wearing armor one two hits will kill you. Do research ign which I don't like gave a better review of how the game works which is saying something.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is game of the year 2018. These instant gratification people with the attention span of a gold fish don't understand classic RPGs like Gothic 2 and Daggerfall. This game is what I've been waiting for since 2003!
Lovemaking is better when you start slow and build up to climax..... this game's intro before it opens up (in a big way) is around 5-7 hours... you guys said you played 6 hours only..... Don't review games you haven't played yet or given a chance.... This is a slow game so it's clearly not a game for you guys....
What got me was when he said, "they're doing something Bethesda has been doing for years." So, you're telling me every good video game ever designed is 100% original? Please, tell me more.
This game just is'nt for them. They wanted a new witcher or skyrim. this is a completely different beast. It is far from a perfect game but it doesnt deserve this kind of chritisism. it reminds me of a review about the film "Jarhead" it was criticised for not having enough action. This is a horrible video.
I love this game so far! Historically accurate, realistic and great fun. Its like you going back to the past in a medieval Europe. Never played a game like this. Like an open, living and breathing, exciting history book!
For anyone who is wondering and hasn't noticed yet, Ben and Peter have moved to another channel. Vidiots. If you ever enjoyed their content, please check it out and subscribe
This is the greatest RPG I have ever played in my life. I'm all for opinions and such, but if you can't see the beauty of this AMAZING game, then you're a casual or you're playing it wrong, there's no other way to put it.
>>Kaizer Villain Besides all your r/iamverysmart talk i just want to point out that you yourself should read better because i just told you that alot of people as you say "bashing this review" have played this game themselves. i did not try to imply or say that only the people that talk good about this game have played it. so please don't put words in my mouth and please don't act like an intellectual because you aren't. For the comment you've left for Eenvil I. He asked you a simple question but you aren't able to reply to him without looking like a massive dick. not only did you fail to answer his question without calling him dumb for it you also told him to ask you to explain it for him, but why didn't you do that in the first place? Isn't that what you should do instead of acting like a massive dick? Again, you aren't a intellectual nor are you impressing anyone with your behavior. And should i remind you that we're talking about a game here? Because you're acting like we're having a political debate.
WTF are you talking about. This game is a Steam bestseller. In other words many, many people are playing it. And as one of those people, I can verify that these youtubers don't have a clue what they are talking about. They are entitled to their opinion, and we are entitled to allow our brains to see how wrong they are.
"The funny thing is, I bet many of the people bashing this "review" haven't even played the actual game yet." - You, 2018. Surely I don't have to explain this to you?
I love video games and feel precisely catered to with kingdom come: deliverance. What you mean to say is it's a game for people who don't prefer instant gratification because it's lame at the end of the day.
I rarely comment on anything.....i haven't played this game but watched plenty of videos on it and these two amateur journalists have wound me up something chronic. The amount of false information and severe lack of knowledge about the game derived from such a small play through is insane. I'm not sure how you can present such bull!!!! Very unprofessional IMO. The amount of dislikes versus likes is testament to how invalid this review is. Fair enough if you don't like something but to base all your info off such a small taste of the game.....sort it out.
I am always on the verge of unsubscribing to this channel. It seems that this review channel is made by people who don't like video games. Even your lists show alot of games in negative ways and your reviews are based off of very small amounts of play time and you seem to be looking for excuses for games to be shit even when it comes to just extra gameplay you find a way to make it negative. You don't ever learn the game or reward games for being different. Every time I'm excited about a game and watch your videos you kill my mood for the game. You did it with origins and a bunch of others and you're hurting the developers by releasing your biased not very well thought out reviews. I really hope you add on some good people that aren't so cynical of the gaming world to your channel and learn from that a bit because not everyone is looking for a the bad aspects of the game and we don't want to wait a week or 2 for you guys to change your mind and come tell us "hey guys we were wrong the game actually isn't horrible now that I actually understand how to play"
I havent played it yet, but i think your points sound pretty valid and not suprising at all. I already felt like something was fishy, if you just compared the marketing-campaigns with actual gameplay. Still i will buy it, because it is a special experiment which deserves to get famous. But im not suprised that it sucks in the sense of beeing a fun game. But you have to say, maybe that wasnt the intention from the developers. And to all haters on this video: They never critizised that there is no magic. Actually they sad multiple times how great the game works as a medieval-simulator. So please, if you hate at least use valid arguments and watch the whole video.
They can't accurately give an opinion on it with 10 hrs of gameplay combined so maybe a few comments on some combat is valid but for them most part they haven't got a clue because 4 hrs is barely the intro. So if the review was for intro of game, then they wouldn't have so many people crapping on their review because then it would be an accurate review to the start of a game. So yeah the haters as you say do give valid arguments based off just that point. Another thing is that how can you as a person who admitted to never playing the game defend others who haven't put any time into playing the game, then call people who actually have played for a good bit haters....lol doesn't make any sense.
Ok? I've always thought that triple a has more to do with the studio and publisher and such? Like, No Man's Sky was still an indie game at a triple a price?
SonjaTheJinx still wouldn’t call no mans sky indie. Neither did these guys because they never shit on indie games. In their eyes indie games are all amazing.
I really like the idea of a hardcore immersive game, managing food, sleep, managing saves in a dark souls kinda of way... But the key to enjoying something that’s hardcore is that the game world and its rules are consistent. A hardcore game without that becomes an exercise in frustration. It sounds like this game is that.
This game definitely doesn't appeal to me. Seems far too "authentic" for my taste, and the gameplay seems boring to me. Glad some people like it, but I'm not interested.
wishbone346 I haven't played it myself, but am interested in trying it out, if nothing else to see what the Middle Ages were like. I do want to say thanks for a genuine opinion instead of venom, seems rare on RUclips, Lol!
wishbone346 I’m kind of the same way. I love history, especially the medieval times. But this game just sounds so long and time consuming that it’s kind of putting me off. I don’t want to spend months trying to work up some free time to play a game and still be stuck in the tutorial. I think I’ll wait for awhile and then get it just to try it.
Commie Cat grow up.... The game just isn't for him and obviously not for you either. I personally love it and so does a large portion of other people who own it, not because of hype but because it's a good game that appeals to us
Please bear in mind guys, there is a difference between fantasy and fiction. As far as I'm aware this game was never meant to be a fantasy and I wouldn't want it to be. There are plenty of fantasy rpg's out there. About the loading times for conversations, what system are playing on?
I really don’t care if the story was below average I just want to feel like I lived back then I want to tread carefully so I’m not caught off guard by 3 or 4 bandits that’s a historic feeling you can only get in real life and I want that sensation
Everyone in the comments, chill. This is their opinion, reviews shouldn’t always be taken literally, don’t make a decision about whether you should buy it if you’ve only seen one review. Read/watch more reviews, then build your own opinion
It's not for everyone but if you want to play a realistic feeling medieval rpg and actually live the life of a guy in the middle ages, this is one of the best games out there.
I mean, you're not wrong to an extent. It's certainly far from the high speed combat most gamers are used to. And most of the time, "realistic" games still have a level of surrealism in them to make the gameplay easier and less strenuous. But I don't think a game like this is bad. A game that tries to be as accurate as possible has it's own charm about it, and some people love that.
I knew what the game was going to be like. You cant make a history sim like a video game, because video game tropes take you out of the experience. Yet I feel like this game will have a dedicated niche fanbase.
Noobs complain about how slow the sword fighting is hahah just cause your Button mashing peasants or clickers as i like to call it... This is a Proper RPG!
I love how all the comments are defending the game and hating on their opinion, but everything they are saying is true, and are real criticisms that should be talked about. The game still needs some work, it could be a ton of fun, the game looks well made, but there are plenty of things that just don't work properly.
Its always better to "Realism isn't my thing" rather than making it out like realism isn't a thing anyone likes. There have been many games that try to be as real as they can through the years. Especially recently.
4:45 lol I would expect that if I fell off ledge!!! 😂 can you hear yourself? KCD is a wicked RPG what are these two on about? Bring back the days when you had to work things out for yourself and there were no RUclips guides to help. People hate on this because it’s realistic. Well practice sword fighting with the wooden swords for abit a learn to fight. Before making an ill informed review! Sad thing is most people gonna see this review an not buy it cus the game was too hard for you. Best RPG of 2018 in my opinion.
"We have being playing the whole weekend to bring the review..."
5 minutos later "I played 6 hours and he played 4..."
Add the "I lost 40min" and "I lost an hour". so..how far in the story and world did they really get?
I might be wrong but I think this is a small observation on what they seen, the full review will come further ahead with more hour of playthrough
"playing as much as possible". doesn't mean thats all they did all weekend
Damn Millennials!
Mac you legend
Mac is the best reviewer going should be professional game tester or something
Mack will you marry me?
This was like watching 2 toddlers discuss the movie Braveheart
He kept saying it was fantasy,,,
wiwysova It is its just that it's realistic unlike skyrim etc.....
Bat man
The devs have said many times it is based on real events
Yeah it's like, guy the past wasn't a fantasy lmao it happened.
Yeah exactly that pissed me off its not trying to be skyrim or any other fantasy RPG so why compare it to that
They are dumb fucks Mack is a legend WAB all they WAYYYY
Video in a nutshell :
"Slow progression is bad. I want to be fast and OP right away."
"Combat is frustrating because I can't get used to it. I recognise that combat would pick up but muh Oblivion"
"I understand this game focuses on realism and I jumped down from a great height to debilitate myself because I don't understand how gravity works."
"Muh magic and fantasy RPGs"
"Only Bethesda games have lockpicking and pickpockets. It's totally not a common CRPG element in video games!"
"Why isn't this Oblivion / Witcher!?" (Gee, I don't know, the devs have been marketing it as a realistic RPG since day one)
"I've never seen limited saves in video games before and I have no idea how to manage saves."
Some of their points weren't bad (Mostly stuff that revolves around the quality-of-life aspects of the game) but most others features a deep set irony of two people that probably has incredibly limited gaming experience themselves.
Combat is frustrating to get used to but it's rewarding - I'd played the beta / demo releases and it's easy to get your ass handed over to you if you expect it to play like Bethesda's clicking sims.
We've officially found the DSP of game impressions guys!
Nice b8 m8.
So are you confessing your appalling sense for direction or do you simply not
realise that dense forests and horses don't go too well together?
Commie Cat If it's shit, it's shit. I've watched reviews talking about why it's good and why it's shit. But at least the ones who complained did more than talk about the Elder Scrolls.
"Mentioning Elder Scrolls does not equal ONLY talking about the Elder Scrolls."
Or if you had the intellectual honesty to actually watch the video and not block out vital information to benefit your lopsided argument, you could see that these fine folks drew comparison to "muh Oblivion" more than three times.
*I am, and have been for years, VERY excited to play this game.*
And dude, it's *not* a "fantasy" RPG.
"Oh no you are not instantly a badass master of sword capable of taking on kings and Gods"
Are you fucking serious?
It's an RPG with focus on realism. What did you expect? Medieval CoD?
you make me laugh
Yeah... "realism". Only the guard angles. The rest... not so much.
Ya I want to play 3000 hours of skyrim where I can push 1 button throughout the entire game, and win every battle never dying once, or feeling remotely threatened, or challenged.
Medieval CoD ??????? Skyrim ?????
Dude I just wanted to play a fun game a game should be fun not realistic realism is for our real life in games I just want to have fun
At this point, even IGN seems more credible in their reviews
They actually gave it a respectable score of 8.0 and seemed to enjoy it a lot. Obviously the main issue holding it from higher scores is the bugs. I'd give it an 8.0 currently too and when it's all patched up with fixes to the saving/lockpicking mechanics it would definitely be a 9 or higher
IGN is absolutely more credible.
The game preforms terrible to this day bro I'm trying as hard as I can to get past the part where his parents die rn
How do you build a review based on 4 and 6 hours
Danny Jablonski Because if you told me the game gets good after 10 hours I'd tell you to go fuck yourself; and this is their job. They're getting paid to review it and probably have other things they need to do.
Adam Kadir see I guess I'm just odd I'll play those ten hours hell I've done it lol
At the end of the day it's your money and time, but if a game doesn't get me in 30 minutes to an hour I won't touch it unless I'm getting rid of it.
I'm gonna assume you don't have a lot of free time.
That's why they don't title the video "review", and doesnt even give the game any scores. This is just a first impression video.
I prefer a challenge where it could take at least 20 hours to get good than play a game where it is just press x to attack b to block and so on.
well don't know how you can review it after 5-6 hours of playing it cause i just started doing the first major quest after the tutorial at that time >.>
They didn't review it here. They gave first impressions. They said the review will be later when they have played more.
@@MrSpartanspudbro an first impression is an review.
I've had it since friday and it's a sim, not Skyrim. You don't get a complex sword tutorial until you first have sword combat. It's not a fast paced action game
Fuck me. We get it, it's a sim therefore can be boring if you aren't engaged
Also a few hours of gameplay doesn't count as a review you hacks. This is a first impresisons
Commie Cat that's as maybe but basing a review on a couple of hours is trash criticism
If it’s as realistic as possible, you can’t call it a “fantasy” rpg. You totally contradicted yourself.
Its a medieval SIMULATOR. You are criticizing it because it feels too real and not fun? Perhaps its not fun as Skyrim but it is more immersive.
If they want Skyrim, I get that. But that's not what the review should be about.
It's waaaay more fun than skyrim. Provided you are an adult with an IQ above 80. Criteria that these two fail to meet.
So you would take immersion over fun? Talk about priorities...
Orl Cal
Being as simplistic as it is, Skyrim is miles ahead of Kingdom Come in fun department. KC has no interesting loot, no interesting abilities, nothing to do in the world that is really interesting, and the list goes on. What the fuck are you people on that you think this game is so good.
"The combat is slow" yeah, because that's how people fight with heavy as shit armor and a big ass sword. This isn't Skyrim..
Have a look at those "heavy as shit armor and big ass swords" in a fight
ruclips.net/video/EpuqJHxeaTY/видео.htmlm8s
Without armour and representing unarmoured duels (like how it also happens in Kingdom Come) ruclips.net/video/IhbcntqyiSo/видео.htmlm22s
Let's kill this myth that medieval armours are clunky and swords are unweildy, shall we?
dotdash65 That video shows literally nothing. The swords that they use are lighter than a normal longsword they're also not wearing heavy armour
If you swing wildly and with no direction against a true trained knight you would die so quick.
I'll leave you this link which is a docummentary on youtube about HEMA (even though you might not watch it, I can rest my conscience xD)
ruclips.net/video/7DBmNVHTmNs/видео.html
So how long have you played the game? Oh 4 hours...
Your problem is that it's realistic? Wow!
Games have to find a line between realistic and fun. Games aren't fully realistic because it would be fucking boring, so it seems like a legitimate criticism.
Realistic doesn't always make a fun game
LaMigrasa Marxa "Games don't have to be fun"
they don't HAVE TO do jack shit because suprise suprise, people paid them to produce realistic game. on the contrary I think you have to accept their choice. also "fun" doesn't always mean "easy".
Yeah skyrim was good but the combat in it was awful. a 4 year old with low IQ could easily beat it.
Yoshika Miyafuji I should have added I was using a bastard sword and I’ve got the body definition of an 80 year old man lol.
OcelotSensei I have to admit I thought the hand to hand was silly myself. But I was specifically talking about sword combat. Also the only fistfight I’ve seen so far was with a drunkard so obviously he’d fight like one lol.
"It's a fantasy RPG but based in reality"
So... An RPG.
Honestly, I hope the majority of players aren't disappointed by how realistic the game is like these two dipshits.
EDIT: I'm not saying that this game is perfect - I'm just saying that these guys seem to have misinterpreted how it works.
It is a brilliant game, these idiots just want to play the cliché running into an enemy camp and killing 40 people stupid games that are out nowadays.
NoMemoryGaming You fans are so pathetic I swear LOL
Immensely enjoying it. Pacing of the game is brilliant; no mark blacksmiths boy setting out into a cruel time of war. The point in the video about selling your shoes for a lockpick? Why not? Seems a pretty mediaeval thing to have to do.
"Stunningly realistic" LMAO
I admit, I might've been somewhat hyperbolic in this comment, but you're unlikely to play another game as historically accurate as this any time soon.
However, I wouldn't call myself a fan. I only hopped on board the hype train a month or two ago, and have been seriously enthralled by how dedicated Warhorse Studios are to making this game feel genuine.
I'm not spiteful of any objections you might have, but if you do decide to voice your opinions, please don't be a dick about it.
And also do some research before presenting false info
Meh it’s not like Skyrim or witcher even though the devs specifically stated they were making a medieval historically accurate RPG there’s not enough fantasy in a non fantasy game.
Liam Geary That doesnt excuse the game for playing like shit and being outdated, please
0:15 "played as much as possible" , gives quirky fake smile
Wait you played 6 hours?.... You know the tutorial takes 6-7 hours right? So basically you are reviewing a game that you didn't beat the intro for.... Nice.
@thematic this game was great it just pisses "lil gamers" off when they don t start as a badass
@@manorui100 are you gonna explain how it sucks or throw out insults all day like a child
@@manorui100 do you even realize mocking people having "no life" blatantly shows that you are insecure in someway in your life? Cause if you really do have a thing you would consider having a "life" you wouldn't even care about saying a game sucks or mock others that did nothing to you lol.
Why does what culture insist on using scott for every video. The only games i think he likes is kids games
It's worse now. He appears in like 2 videos a day.
Oh it dont have magic and it's based on realism you poor things.
Lord Pizza The Great "I'm not speaking for anybody"
*proceeds to give general summery of the markets opinions*
Commie Cat you're and idiot
This channel is arguably the worst one I've seen for game reviews. "Oh we played all weekend" really means we played about 2 hours, here's what we think. They did it with Assassins Creed Origins too. Quality game, the one on the left played a handful of hours, labelled it as *basically* shit and within a week a new video was up saying he liked it. Don't give a review if you haven't played enough of it.
"That's why we haven't done a review" Not sure what you're watching but this isn't a review. They've said as much
Even if it isn't technically a review and really a first impressions they are usually not accurate at all.
LouDogg 420 totally agree with you dude on everything , I can't wait to play this game,
Giggling Girls! If it's not a review... They're definitely reviewing it soooo..... Why make a video prematurely
The entire video was more of a projection of what they want the game to be.
It's essentially two jokers going into ARMA thinking it'd play out like Call of Duty then moaning about how it plays differently from their narrow perspective of what video games should be like.
Since you lied in your AC: Origins review, your opinions are, sadly, irrelevant.
I didn’t hear about this: what was the lie exactly?
Worst channel for games review ever
It's not a proper review, sort of first thoughts, you'd know that if you watched the video.
They are awful they did the same with assassins creed origins they barely played it and gave it a bad review and then later said it was good because they got negative feedback. They are two out of shape man child's with low IQ who spend there lives playing cliché games and complain any time a game is different.
Then don’t watch it
How can we trust your opinion when you just proved you don't know the difference between a review and an impressions video
GoombaGenocide it is my opinion , u don’t have to trust it or agree with it .
Worth A Buy did a proper response with his KCD "rant". Always warms my heart. :D
ding ding ding
UGGGHHHH! This guy and his flailing arms
ksmith1663 reminds me of the scene in talladega nights, where Ricky Bobby has no fucking idea what to do with his hands while been interviewed haha.
Hahahaha! Couldn't have put it better myself
The combat model is designed to be as realistic as possible, based on historical European martial arts. It has to be made slower because in reality it's so complex. As a HEMA fan, I love it, but I get your opinion too.
Not Hitler Wow someone who can hear different opinion and not get personally offended, kudos and enjoy the game.
This is a game that frustrates you and makes you quit a bunch of times as you're learning it but once you get into it, you realize just how amazing of a game it really is.
well...is clear that you guys don't have anything to do with gaming.
I am sure you need a quest mark to remember from where to buy food.
Seriously dude, anytime these guys pop up in my feed, I just know it's not worth watching. These are two super casual "gamers" who barely know what they're talking about. I think they should stick to mobile games lol
I only clicked on this one to dislike because of the title tbh lol
In the words of Downward Thrust: "This game is for the methodical RPG player who wants to jump into a huge game and take their time. The combat is very deliberate and requires a lot of patience.”
You are obviously not the kind of gamers who will be taking their time. Go back to Skyrim you fucking casuals.
these idiots complained how hard crash bandicoot n sane trilogy was yet I personally have 100% on that game
i also have 100% on skyrim lol
I smell casuals
"we spent most of the weekend playing this"
Only played for 4 hours
nice journoulist work
Not surprised that the guy that thinks that BOTW is the greatest game ever, isn't able to comprehend how a real rpg game works
Commie Cat you shouldn't be lecturing anyone on what you think is a bad game when you can't even spell 'lose'
+Roland Surname
Check the comments. The commie cat guy has a literal meltdown, and is attacking everyone who comments positively on the game. It's so sad.
Roland Surname What's wrong with breath of the wild?
Lord Whoopi I like the game (finished it). But claiming that it's the best game ever just seems quite ignorant. Especially since he always gets this smug look and laughs at anyone that doesn't share his opinion
Roland Surname but it is the best game ever. And I love RPGs, but come on dude. Zelda. You can't beat that ;)
Lol these two guys...Citation: "We spend most of the weekend to play as much as posibble." 4 mins in video: "I put 6 hours in it and you 4". LOLOLOLOL. Zero information value based on other peoples videos. Noobs
When people like you guys say a game is shit that's when I get interested in the game :)
Kay v R exactly. They are stupid casual morons. They like games for kids and with one button for action. And they play games on easy mode for sure. Casual boring and mass production games nowadays with microtransactions are cancer of this kids planet
Patrik Helis luckily games like this are still being made :)
Daniel Kenyon It's not a full review, it's their first impressions.
I'm looking forward to this game, I preordered 6 months ago. Holy shit I'm so hyped
Hes brutally honest and actually played the game.
josh the barber worth a buy as well is a good one
The whole idea is that the game is not supposed to hold your hand at all.
We don't mind if a game takes time for you to progress through it and become stronger... because we don't want the game to be finished in 6 hours so we can pump out a video an earn some $$$ from it.
ign are better than this channel for reviews
and thats saying something
If you guys hate RPG's don't review them!
The video needs to be titled first impressions. Playing the game for a couple of hours isn’t a review...
Never played a proper RPG, I can tell.
What got me was when he said, "they're doing something Bethesda has been doing for years."
So, you're telling me every good video game ever designed is 100% original? Please, tell me more.
This game just is'nt for them. They wanted a new witcher or skyrim. this is a completely different beast.
It is far from a perfect game but it doesnt deserve this kind of chritisism.
it reminds me of a review about the film "Jarhead" it was criticised for not having enough action.
This is a horrible video.
They probably havent even beaten the main story line yet
Definitely not. I'm about 6 hours in, done hardly storyline, and loving it.
Ok I give up. whatculture have lost the two funny guys and is now just like every other gaming/movie channel :/
thetopherhaslanded with zero personality
sum CLINT Exactly.
I love this game so far! Historically accurate, realistic and great fun. Its like you going back to the past in a medieval Europe. Never played a game like this. Like an open, living and breathing, exciting history book!
Worst gaming review channel ever.
For anyone who is wondering and hasn't noticed yet, Ben and Peter have moved to another channel. Vidiots. If you ever enjoyed their content, please check it out and subscribe
DoomguardKino thanks for saying. Was wondering where they went
Ok buy it. So. Hyped up
This is the greatest RPG I have ever played in my life. I'm all for opinions and such, but if you can't see the beauty of this AMAZING game, then you're a casual or you're playing it wrong, there's no other way to put it.
"What a bad review"... This isn't a review, come on people!
Giggling Girls! More of a first impressions video with less than 10 between them
Kaizer Villain alot have.. why don't you ask them yourself?
Its not a fcking FANTASY game -_- stop looking for Skyrim
So I searched for this video and under it I saw the video "criminally underrated games" with kingdom come deliverance on the thumbnail...
This is like watching two men dig their own grave... Slowly.
Whatculture shiting on another triple a game? Well I can’t say I’m shocked.
Not sure I'd call it a triple a tho.
SonjaTheJinx if a game is worth more than £30 it’s a triple a game.
5 million dollar Budget against 200 million dollars budget GTA V.. you can tell me if it is a triple A game or not. I'll give you a hint: it's not.
Wow, a sane person in the comments section.
Lord Pizza The Great Crazy, right? lol
wishbone346 I haven't played it myself, but am interested in trying it out, if nothing else to see what the Middle Ages were like.
I personally love it and so does a large portion of other people who own it, not because of hype but because it's a good game that appeals to us
This game is a work of art
I think I will slowly switch to Vidiots. Ben and Peter are there, all you other guys, except Jules, are boring.
Omg, thank you for mentioning that! I had no idea! Tho it does explain why I've been missing Ben and Peter lately.
SonjaTheJinx I think they started their own channel on 1st of February. What culture became boring when they fired Blompy
Yeah so many people miss the sex pest :L
Tomosprey hey... what he does in private is his thing. Like we havent sent dic pic in our lifes.
I just want to point out, it is not a "fantasy" world with realism. Its based on the real medevil kingdom of Boimia
I’ve come back to this review following Mack’s one, and god these two are so wrong about this game on so many levels
I’ve only been able to put in around 2 hours (damn job) and I’m loving it so far, I feel very immersed in being Henry and learning along with him
Please bear in mind guys, there is a difference between fantasy and fiction. As far as I'm aware this game was never meant to be a fantasy and I wouldn't want it to be. There are plenty of fantasy rpg's out there. About the loading times for conversations, what system are playing on?
Warhorse studios: We want to make classic RPG that does not guide your hand
WhatCulture Gaming: It is not intuitive and its outdated.
I wonder what kind of bullshit they will say about kcd 2 review.
No it's not another Skyrim/Witcher, this is Kingdom Come Deliverance, this is a masterpiece
These people are not real gamers. They can't even play a real and proper RPG. What shame.
