Once a woman gets married her husband n her children r her first priority. She gets busy in her married life n responsibility. Daughters come to the maika to relax n make the bhabhi n mother serve her n send shagun with her. Whereas in sasural a woman serves her husband's parents. A son and son's wife practically serves parents. Whereas a daughter serves her husband, her children n in laws. Sons serve n make their wives serve his parents cuz he born to n brought up by his parents. Although, even daughters r born to n brought up by her parents but she in rare cases serves her parents n make her husband serve them. Having a son, parents get rewarded for hardwork they have done for his upbringing while daughters r born only to take, never return anything to the parents. Parents jitne haq se apne bete ke ghar me rehte hai, jitne haq se usse kuch bhi demand karte hai, jitne haq se bahu se seva ki ummeed karte hai utne haq se parents apni beti ke ghar me nahi rehte (even if beti kamati ho), utne haq se beti se paise nahi mangte aur utne haq se damad se seva nahi karvate. Bahu apne in laws ko maan/respect deti hai whereas damad in laws se maan leta hai. Beti shaadi me aur shaadi ke baad paise leti hai aur bahu shaadi me paise lati hai. We live in a patriarchal society where still son is an asset n daughter a liability. Rare cases ke example mat dena. Hote honge rare cases. Par majority of the society works like that.
