It's funny how after all the noise "team VDM" made This show was a success. Seeing all the highlights just made me understand that all some people nowadays can do is text crap on social media. In the real world... Nothing! 😄🥂
I just think the band need more discipline they are good off course kudos to them but i think while they do their whole play they shouldn't forget that they are not the one leading they should follow the singer and also try to retain some originality of the song not every time you play stuff or press stuff most times keep it simple the drums unnecessarily loud same with the other instruments had falz running instead of singing i could barely even hear the song you guys tried but just keep it simple even weldone sir it was when the song was about to end i even knew the initial intro and the starting even if you improvise retain something that is the beauty of music an organized sound not over organized if not it will turn to noise. No when to show off and when not to. Thank you 🎉❤
Thank you for the constructive feedback bro, we love it. However, to respond to some of the points you made, we totally understand your sentiment, as you weren’t part or involved in our creative process, we are a unique band/artist who pays strict attention and adheres strictly to the requirements of our clients/clientele. You said you couldn’t hear what the singer was singing, number 1, Falz isn’t a singer, he’s a rapper, which means in most case, there’s no definite melodic structure, which we had to create one in our production. 2. We had BVs who are embellishing some Melodies and harmonies, you don’t even need a headphone to hear that, they are as audible as your name, 3. The fact that Falz is a rapper and not more of singer, requires that there has to be some certain level of arrangement and restructuring to the music, you can listen to a rap music in your car or on your radio and not get bored or lost, but that same energy and sentiment won’t pass for a live show, people get easily lost or bored just listening to a rap artist in a live concert, so there’s a need for the band to alter some structure and create an entertaining musical element and some syncopation to highlight what the rapper is doing in a musical context. 4. Falz who is the artist and who’s very musically inclined, has no professional objections or disagreements with whatever arrangement or performance track that the band created, he was in love with it and it gave him a lot of leverage to be able to entertain and wow his audience, don’t forget that this is a live concert not a studio production, in as much as we feel your angle, there has to be a clear difference in your perspective as a band as to how you approach a live concert different to how you approach an indoor studio production and this isn’t even a live recording concert, it’s an actual live show, which requires high level of entertainment, showmanship and undiluted creativity and bear it in mind that people come to a live concert for many reasons and with different perspectives and expectations and as an artist and a band you must be able to entertain, perform and exhibit high level of showmanship whilst still keep the music, we never took the music away from it’s original context, and we observed every dynamic as much as possible, you said the drum was loud, however, that dynamic level was needed for the required energy for the artist, the drummer never played any contrary rhythm to what’s on the original track, we only leveraged and added value to what’s originally been documented. And bro, this is 24th century, try and attend as much global live show where an A list artists are performing, there’s no more rules to music bro , gone are the days when you have to play by book or be restricted, now there’s no boundaries to expression again man, as long as you can engage your audience and your fans love what you do then you are good, but bear it in mind, not everyone will be your fans or love your sound so you can apply what’s suitable for your artist, for you and your audience. And fortunately for us, Falz is musically inclined and he had a whole session to sit and listen to what the band created for him more than 3x before he even sang at all. Hope this satisfies your curiosity. We love you bro. 🙏❤️
