I visited the church on a research trip in 2014. There is so much emotional symbolism in this tiny buidling. And it has become part of my doctoral thesis. Great video.

Thank you so much for your kind comment(s). Indeed, the history of the Neville family is fascinating. Moreso, how the Neville literally 'get in bed' with the CLARKE and FORDHAM surnames. Karl :)

Yes this is an amazing church, almost like a vast historical library with knowledge on more than one level...

I am just seeing this as I work on family genealogy. Thank you for your videos. They help!
I am related via Sir Ralph Neville and Joan Beaufort's son George Neville, Baron Latimer.
I am in the US--my lineage comes from Sir Dudley Digges' (whose mother was Anne Neville St. Leger) His son Edward Digges, was one of the Royal Governor's of Virginia. My ancestor.
I greatly appreciate the views of the priory and resting places. I am so glad they survive!! The grave of my ancestor Edward Digges just barely survives. It is similar to the graves you show--above ground tombs. In Edward Digges case it is outside! But it is on "closed" US government property---so in many ways this has helped preserve it from vandalism, although we must ask permission to visit.
I have enjoyed doing research and ALWAYS enjoy meeting others that are related and doing research. I have found all my Beaufort relations so far a joy to communicate with.
As many wives-tales say...when we speak of our ancestors, we help bring them alive. We are fortunate to have some in our lineage that we can research and "get to know"--binding us together as a community, and understanding better (even molecularly and genetically) how they lived and the times they lived in. Thank you!!!
I am just another average Plantagenet descendant, eking out a living and loving life!!!!

Dear Morgaine, sincere thanks for your kind words. It is a fascinating subject, Ancestry. We have been working on this project for many decades, but decided to 'go live' with everything some 8 years ago. The more connections that are made, the better, especially with your link to Sir Ralph Neville. The Priory is established for all whom wish to seek and know. Our doors are always open, if only you allow yourself to 'pop' in for a while. There's alot to cover in the 'average' 80 years for each person on this Earth. If anything can be 'taken away' from our online pages and videos, we hope that it awakens the inquisitive inner-self, so to embark on their own unique journey. Sincere thanks Morgaine. Karl.

@@thesecondcoming2083 Thank you Karl for your kind reply as well. AND sharing the videos. I certainly look forward to returning to the British Isles one day (since I am "amrecian"). I first went with my mother, a descendant of the Pollocks originally from Paisley, Scotland. It was very moving. At the time, I had no idea of my father's ancestry ---- what I thought were a bunch of wild Scot-Irish mixed with Cherokee turned out to be much more! I was especially shocked by all the ancestors from Kent -- Chilham, Goodnestone, Canterbury. I look forward to returning.

So interesting. I also descend from the Nevilles through Margaret Neville, wife of Henry Percy, 1st Earl of Northumberland. Their descendant, William Farrar, was my ancestor who went to Virginia with Lord de la Warr in 1618. Margaret was the daughter of Ralph Neville, 2nd Lord Neville of Raby and his wife Alice de Audley. I’m also descended from Alice through her first marriage to Ralph de Greystoke, 1st Baron Greystoke down to Diana Skipwith who immigrated to Virginia with her brother Sir Grey Skipwith, 3rd Bart.

Hello Alek..I am also related to Ralph Neville. He was my 17th Great Grand Father. I am still new at this Ancestry stuff, but I am so interested in history and to find out that I am related to Kints and such, just makes it much more interesting. I have been to England twice, doing research on my Royal Ancestors. I was watching RUclips about Raby Castle, where my Great Grandmother was raised. She was Alice Nevile and sister of Richard, the King Maker. Elizabeth FitzHugh (Alice and Henry Fitzhugh's daughter), which I am sure you know, was Catherine Parr's Grandmother. Elizabeth's daughter (Anne Vaux) was the beginning of my American Ancestor's..The LeStranges. Sir Knight Thomas LeStrange, and Anne Vaux had many children. Their son Edmund's son (John), was the one that brought the family to Virginia. So, that was the begining. Love your videos..I am thinking about coming back to England in April, with my grand daughter and visiting Raby Castle and spending a couple of nights there. If you are available during that time, I would love to meet you. Everything is still up in the air yet, but I will let you know. It just depends on my grand daughter's college classes and if she can get away at that time. Looking forward to hearing from you..Judy Anstess My email is: janstess86@gmail.com

Hello, I have recently started my ancestry journey by taking a DNA test. Which led me to start digging into my ancient lineage. My mother was a Neville before marriage. I am just wondering if you have any tips to verify my lineage is linked to this same Neville family. Using other families information, I have traced it back to a John Neville born in 1740 in Maryland.
