Saw this comment on a previous video, but getting max clank should totally come with the announcer saying something like "The Dungeon Will Be Your Tomb"
Nice! More DO2 content!!! It's getting harder to balance my productivity and Decked Out time... Idea for a max clank announcement... A one time announcement saying "Max clank reached... Hazard kills!" Not sure if that would be possible, but I could see that being quite unnerving to anyone that's been doing a long run in the dungeon.
Decked Out merch ideas: You already mentioned "Hazard kills" which would be great, maybe with the hazard logo. A complimentary idea would be "Don't stumble" with the clank logo. Maybe something about greed for the treasure logo. "Learn to compass" or "Compass harder" might be good as well.
Just wanted to say Tango that after watching Hypnos run where he figured out what the rusty repair kit does... he reached max clank on level 2 and realised he wouldn't be getting out due to all the water traps and stuff on level 1 that goes with max clank. I think it's a big enough thing now. He survived on the level 3 run because he had HP gain from berries. Without them he would have died multiple times. Just wanted to say you've done a great job, and Hypno hasn't been winning a lot of his runs recently (although they are epic to watch) because he doesn't have a defensive card investment. He's realised he needs more hazard and clank block now, because they are clearly negatively affecting him. The game is awesome, and the top player isn't too Op. Even reckless charge doesn't go of half the time, and isn't too Op. I don't know if you've changed it yet, and I think changing it is important, but if you haven't please don't stress. Everything is working amazing, the Hermits don't realise any faults or 'defects' and it's pretty competitive for who could win.
@@kardnails8729 It would be slower, but it would also be "fire and forget" so he could start the ride and then pop into freecam for observation as his "body" gets into place.
You've probably already found a solution to the reckless charge/frost ember farming on level 1, but what if levels had higher chance of spitting out a frost ember the deeper level you're in, like how crowns are more likely on lower floors. Not enough that an unlucky card draw at the start of the game will cripple frost ember cards, but enough to incentivize sticking around at the lower levels a little longer for your frost hunter cards to play.
It's so funny Bdubs really would have gotten 2/2 on his first 2 runs but the only broken compass spot was his target both times, and then a mod/resource pack doesn't render on one ravager and it hits him twice... his luck is horribly amazing but he's so funny it made good content. Thank you Tango for believing, even a little bit. EDIT: This game is fantastic, Tango deserves a retirement fund. or funding for DO3
Tango, about what to put on merch: -> of cause the obvious screen shot of the citadel -> cards -> artefacts I'd love to have a DO2 cup with all the artefacts. US only or can e.g. the European guys get some merch too?
Mojang just needs to hire tango to help implement something like decked out into the game. Like buy a compass from a villager n it takes you down into the deep dark or into a new dungeon structure and you get artifact. Something worth going for not sure about getting embers then buying cards. But just getting a compass and having to follow it into a dungeon full of beasts would be fun.. or have decked out be a map you can buy in the store and play it as it is.
The hardest part of watching this series is that it's like watching a super early release series of a game I really wanna buy. It's not available but I want to play it *sooooo baaaadly*
Absolutely loving all the hanging out with everyone! All about that collab content, even if it's just hanging out! I think you need to stop worrying about the honey/soup though.... a golden carrot is 14.4 saturation vs 20 saturation... it's not that huge
Request to rename the raveger in the deathroom to "The End Game Janitor" ^.^ It's shorter and everyone knows they die there at this point. (Alsom Mrs Tango Merch should be a thing. And it just has a raveger face on the front, and a quote from your wife on back!"
An idea for a hoodie: having a stylised version version of the Deepfrost Citadel with Deepfrost Citadel written in some kind of font used by a metal band. I would wear that.
To limit level 1 ember farming you could play a similar trick to treasure, where deeper in the dungeon more embers drop. For example halving the global ember drop probability would halve the embers on level 1. As the different levels already have their own ember drop lines it would be easy to double pulse the level 2 line on a global ember signal, tripple pulse the level 3 line etc... This way the expected number of embers on a level 3 run should be the same as it is now. As two additional up/down sides: 1) this would favor ember drops in larger decks (late game) as it would be more likely to trigger later in the dungeon 2) the double/tripple pules mean embers can accumulate more on individual spots.
At 54:27, ice block above the lichen on the right side, you can see several pixels change to black a couple times, like an entity is turning and glitching through the block. Is there a zombie or something behind it?
Hey Tango, loving Decked Out 2! I do have a suggestion for the hypothetical treasure -> shard loop: Shards now cost 8 + 2X crowns, X being the amount of time the shard was purchased by a specific hermit. This would have to use -the loyalty system- but would solve the issue! (Technically you could make many indiviudual shard dispensers for each hermit, but that would take a while). The shard cost would reset every phase too, so that hermits can buy shards every phase. Hope this helps!
Given how useless the vex are killing hermits, I think you should add more evokers NOT to produce more vex but to increase the probability they hit the hermits with their magical fangs, because that at least has proven capable of killing Hypno.
After all the phases are finished, you should let all participants including yourself, choose their whole deck of any cards for free, and see who can get the deepest, and who can get the most coins/crowns/embers/shards
Considering the whole dungeon will only have 4 levels, and it's designed so you could get out after going down to level 4, getting the "deepest" isn't that interesting. As for the loot, it could be fun, but in reality it'll just lead to longer runs from Etho, Doc, and Hypno who are already going that route even now. And I don't know about you, but seeing a bunch of hour long runs where people speedrun getting to lvl 3, sneak around for half an hour, and then run out will be a bit boring after seeing one or two of them. Or in other words, the results would be an interesting experiment, but 90% of the content will be very monotone.
I think Tango has already raised this idea. Giving everyone a fixed budget to build a deck, then seeing who can get the most points over a fixed number of runs.
The minecart was kicked of the rail, which reduces it´s vertical range below the block atop. If it where still considered on the rail it would have rolled of the block completly. Also the strange angle after you nudged it can only occour if derailed.
And then they respawn at the bed where they got acces to their stuff and can just prick themselves on the berrybush and eat for the saturation. So whats that solving?
@@cherrydragon3120 You can easily make a bed clickable from a spot that's not valid for getting out/respawning, so you can make a one way door from that. Once they're in the bed, dispense lava to kill them, then they respawn in the new room without access to any stuff. That's all unnecessary of course. All he needs to do is say it's against the rules. In the end, this is still survival Minecraft, if they wanna break the rules, they can just as easily go to his storage room and steal a ton of tomes and there's nothing he can do to stop them.
@@cherrydragon3120 also nobody is expecting Hermits to cheat. The real issue as X mentioned in his episode is that the saturation bar is hidden so there is no real way to make it equal. If you just dies, it is equal for all, which was my point 😏
@@hellterminator My idea is to have a dispenser with an enormous amount of reskinned golden carrots or porkchops that are called beast biscuits. Put two signs next to the button. Eat only one of these before the run, all other foods before the run are not permitted.
DO2 is SO AWESOME! I've been watching nothing else these last two weeks. I think it would be a good reward for surviving if keys and unspent embers were converted to coins.
I feel like everyone entering on the same saturation would be fair which is why I'm fine with stew and honey, it also feels lie it's needed to get to lvl 3 and back, still using up all the berries harvested on the way down to lvl 3
I know this comment will get lost among the other thousands of suggestions, but I have to say that even if you're more worried about the other hermits getting away with maximum clank, I think it creates fun at least, as a viewer the farming of the first level is much more problematic than them being able to escape the vex. They are being rewarded for not exploring and the new traps for maximum clank will reinforce this style of game.
@@cherrydragon3120 Adding cards to counter clank, hazard and to give treasure or embers is a part of the progression experience. Hermits should NOT be punished for using the actual mechanics within the game to its fullest potential; rather, encouraged to do so and smiled upon.
I noticed that sometimes hermits hear things I can’t. So the not hearing things might just be from audience perspective. Like a hermit says omg the heartbeats so fast and I can’t even hear a heartbeat at all 🤷♀️
Tango can definitely do whatever he wants with his game, but I just don't understand why having the stew (or using any other min-max methods) is frowned upon. If the hermits care about the game enough to figure out ways to maximize their chances of "winning", then why is that an issue? I'm just thinking this sort of methods appears in basically all kinds of games and it isn't anyone's "fault". Saying that hermits would "stoop to such levels" seems a bit harsh.
A little too late for Decked Out 2, but for a potential future project, the problem of Ravegers following hermits to the exit could be fixed with two entrances and exits, with the current entrance depending on which exit the last hermit took
Or have a villager near the exit and entrance that can be revealed like the evokers during reset time. Ravagers will try to kill the villager but can't reach them. But at least it pulls them away from the entrance/exit
I feel like it'd be a super nice thing if one hermit built a hazard block deck and corralled Ravagers before many people ran. They could sell this service for crowns or shards
Regardless of source, saturation maxes out at 20, and eating a porkchop gives 13, so maxing it out with honey doesn't give as much of a gargantuan advantage as you might think. That's an extra 1 heart of healing (though obviously it's worth a lot in terms of sprint).
That's the issue, I hope whatever the rules will be, they should keep in mind how saturation works and find a solution to make everyone start at same hunger and saturation level. I suggested either maxing (20) the saturation with a stew for everyone, or death resetting to quarter (5) saturation. Both options create equal starting position for players.
@@juraj5927 Honestly this is why I think stew shouldn't be banned. If everyone is maxing their saturation no one has an advantage. And with the community chest full of stew it's not like anyone wouldn't be able to do it.
IMO, Tango is probably at little to involved with the running of the game in some of these aspects. It really isn’t fun to develop a strategy and then the GM immediately nerfs it. I get it, DO2 is his baby, but sometimes, it’s fine for players to develop strategies. It makes it fun to play and watch. As it gets harder, it starts to matter less anyways. If Tango wants to fix bugs, be by guest. But it’s getting to the point where he is overbalancing the game for the sake of making it harder. Etho and Hypno are really skilled players and he is making game level choices based on how successful they are. What about the players that aren’t as skilled, they are going to get left in the dust.
@@UnBoundBeatz It's not really fun to build a game and have people instantly try to cheat their way to victory instead of just playing how it's intended to play, either.
@@MoonyFBM that’s not really cheating either. They aren’t taking armor in, getting physical help from other hermits, using potions, or using outside food while in DO.
I guarantee you, there will be big rebalancing as everyone starts to realize that because cards are drawn slowly, bigger decks are overwhelmingly likely to lead to high clank very early in runs.
If you want to prevent level 1 farming, you coud count the number of succeddful ember drops on level and cap it, freezeing the ember drops until you go to level 2, where it resumes dropping embers.
I know this is 4 weeks old, and also just a random idea, but if you wanted to incentivize running or making noise in level 3 (with the wardens) you could always have it so triggering the shreikers adds embers IN floor 3, so getting good cards is more possible IF players take the risk... although I can already imaging this being abused, not ever run, but maybe they have a run where all the wardens are clumped, and you just "waste" the rest of the clank you had left getting more embers to spawn, risky still though if they only spawn on level 3 and you have to go hunt for them with max clank or close to it. regardless of the small changes post launch, its been really fun and I hope you take it to heart that a lot of people watching and playing love the work you and the team put in

Idea for a max clank announcement... A one time announcement saying "Max clank reached... Hazard kills!"
Not sure if that would be possible, but I could see that being quite unnerving to anyone that's been doing a long run in the dungeon.
Decked Out merch ideas:
You already mentioned "Hazard kills" which would be great, maybe with the hazard logo. A complimentary idea would be "Don't stumble" with the clank logo. Maybe something about greed for the treasure logo.
"Learn to compass" or "Compass harder" might be good as well.
That is the greatest open to any stream that I've ever seen. Bdubs is the best at even-toned conversation
double ironic that scar is getting the loop over and over again
You really should add a little minecart line to your observer spot. You switch from the main hall to that spot soo often
They are so underutilised, I hope one of the next updates will change them.
Wouldn't a minecart ride be too slow? Compared to just flying and dropping?
He has also discussed an enderporter
Also he should put a pressure plate on the outside of his firework triggered door
@@kardnails8729 It would be slower, but it would also be "fire and forget" so he could start the ride and then pop into freecam for observation as his "body" gets into place.
35:10 Bdubs says “Judas Priest” instead of Christ? That’s hilarious.
"Waited 14 months to play with my deck" would be a funny pg-13 shirt lol
Just love the joy they have playing together. The world needs more of this.
"A little supplement would go a long way."
"A very long way. That's right, Satan, thank you for tempting me." - I love bdubs!
Dont think anything is dropped on a leve you're not on.
EDIT: This game is fantastic, Tango deserves a retirement fund. or funding for DO3
The reaction to invisible ravager was sick
The WHAT
Checked comments a lil early
31:30 for future reference
Thx
Watch Bdubs POV. The ravager is indeed invisible
While I’m catching up on vods, mugs with the dungeon layout would be a cool merch item
Tango, about what to put on merch:
-> of cause the obvious screen shot of the citadel
-> cards
-> artefacts
I'd love to have a DO2 cup with all the artefacts.
Tango, the Dungeon lackey could be you watching them on free cam telling them if there is treasure near by, or just if they just ran past some
tango i have really been loving these vods
Same! 😄
Love that there’s a saturation doping issue going on in DO lol
Request to rename the raveger in the deathroom to "The End Game Janitor" ^.^ It's shorter and everyone knows they die there at this point.
(Alsom Mrs Tango Merch should be a thing. And it just has a raveger face on the front, and a quote from your wife on back!"
It would’ve been awesome
An idea for a hoodie: having a stylised version version of the Deepfrost Citadel with Deepfrost Citadel written in some kind of font used by a metal band. I would wear that.
Could you try asking the hermits to use crowns for shops they set up in the citadel so it's an in game cost?
To limit level 1 ember farming you could play a similar trick to treasure, where deeper in the dungeon more embers drop.
For example halving the global ember drop probability would halve the embers on level 1. As the different levels already have their own ember drop lines it would be easy to double pulse the level 2 line on a global ember signal, tripple pulse the level 3 line etc... This way the expected number of embers on a level 3 run should be the same as it is now. As two additional up/down sides:
1) this would favor ember drops in larger decks (late game) as it would be more likely to trigger later in the dungeon
2) the double/tripple pules mean embers can accumulate more on individual spots.
BTW the wall opposite the Crown Shop might be a wall for everyone who contributes to BO2 - Names on a signs, like bricks which build that place :)
At 54:27, ice block above the lichen on the right side, you can see several pixels change to black a couple times, like an entity is turning and glitching through the block. Is there a zombie or something behind it?
zombies spawn near that area so there's probably one.
HOW.
honestly seeing runs with your perspective is wonderful
Hey Tango, loving Decked Out 2! I do have a suggestion for the hypothetical treasure -> shard loop:
Shards now cost 8 + 2X crowns, X being the amount of time the shard was purchased by a specific hermit. This would have to use -the loyalty system- but would solve the issue! (Technically you could make many indiviudual shard dispensers for each hermit, but that would take a while). The shard cost would reset every phase too, so that hermits can buy shards every phase. Hope this helps!
Bduds just become your "middle game tester". He should be named something like "MGT" to take the confusion from other Hermits (about embers).
Given how useless the vex are killing hermits, I think you should add more evokers NOT to produce more vex but to increase the probability they hit the hermits with their magical fangs, because that at least has proven capable of killing Hypno.
I have to say. Watching the runs from Tangos perspective is way more entertaining than I thought it would be.
53:44 tango is basically etho saying "it's a skill issue" 😂🤣
I can't believe Tango missed the feet pic convo lol.
After all the phases are finished, you should let all participants including yourself, choose their whole deck of any cards for free, and see who can get the deepest, and who can get the most coins/crowns/embers/shards
Nah
Might have been suggested already, but the saturation issue could be easily solved by killing the Hermit before a run 😊
The 😊 emoji though...
What can you do about it. If you make the clank worse they'll just add sneak cards to their deck to block clank and make the dungeon easier.
That would for some really awesome fun content of free runs, can’t wait to see them
Regardless of source, saturation maxes out at 20, and eating a porkchop gives 13, so maxing it out with honey doesn't give as much of a gargantuan advantage as you might think.
Scar getting looped by the Death Loop is the funniest thing to me lol
tango, have you considered that ravagers could die from hazzard doors closing in on them?
It's awesome to see so many people active
If you want to prevent level 1 farming, you coud count the number of succeddful ember drops on level and cap it, freezeing the ember drops until you go to level 2, where it resumes dropping embers.
Possible 😮
@@cherrydragon3120 I think he did exactly that lol
at max clank a "Geeet Ouuuuut!..." in a whispery eerie voice would be INTENSE
just making an enderporter to get to and from the queue and the spectator spot would be very helpful
Etho, bdubs, scar, Cleo, Cub and Doc! Most my favs!
Desperately want merch that says "I survived Decked Out and all I got was this T-Shirt"
Tango is now the master of flight. Because of decked out redstone 😂😂😂
I know this is 4 weeks old, and also just a random idea, but if you wanted to incentivize running or making noise in level 3 (with the wardens) you could always have it so triggering the shreikers adds embers IN floor 3, so getting good cards is more possible IF players take the risk...
although I can already imaging this being abused, not ever run, but maybe they have a run where all the wardens are clumped, and you just "waste" the rest of the clank you had left getting more embers to spawn, risky still though if they only spawn on level 3 and you have to go hunt for them with max clank or close to it.
regardless of the small changes post launch, its been really fun and I hope you take it to heart that a lot of people watching and playing love the work you and the team put in
love that doc is claiming they've been fighting diamond inflation for years while actively tunnel boring the world's guts out
